When I was looking for an acupuncturist I was looking for the one with BEST REVIEWS, most places wouldn't reach the 5 star mark. After reading the reviews for Avenue Acupuncture I felt like I needed to try. Luckily I found Brendan Dolan and I couldn't be more grateful!!! After almost 2 1/2 months of continuous leg pain and lower back pain, I found hope on my very first session. The first day I waked in, I walked in with stiffness in my toes and severe leg pain, after I left the clinic I NOTICED A HUUUUUGE difference. Brendan was extremely attentive and acommodating to my needs, he listened, he addressed my issues right away and started working on them. My injury was acompanied with high levels of anxiety, he show the empathy and was very gentle during the process of placing the needles. I was so surprised that in ONE session, I was able to walk away almost painless and feeling invigorated and relaxed. I am on my fourth session and I cannot emphasize enough the progress and the change that his sessions have done to my body and my emotional well being. I 200% recommend Brendan, your body will thank you for that. read more

Brendan Dolan has assisted immensely in my recovery from various hyper-extended muscles in the lower back, thighs and mid section of the back. As a result of these injuries sustained in the Spring of 2018, chronic pain ensued. Brendan was able to quickly address by applying acupuncture remediation since day 1 when we first met for treatment in mid December 2019. He recommended that in my case I may benefit from combining classical acupuncture with electro-therapy (applying small levels of current to the acupuncture needles). From the first session onward I was able to regain mobility and flexibility in the affected areas and now again capable of stretching the particular muscles in the lower back and thighs/hamstrings and conduct activities whether it be at work in my daily duties, or at home cleaning, out and about in the garage without feeling pain in those muscles which for over a year relegated me quickly to the couch or to my bed to rest. I would highly recommend Brendan to anyone seeking therapy from chronic muscle pain and muscle related injuries and cannot THANK him enough. read more

I started seeing Ryan at Avenue Acupuncture in the fall of 2015 when I was struggling to get pregnant. Ryan was very professional and sensitive to my fertility issues. Shortly after starting sessions with Ryan I began the IVF process. Ryan was supportive and knowledgeable about what types of treatments would compliment the process and enhance my chances of success. Through my sessions with Ryan I was able to get my body and mind ready for IVF. I am very happy to report that I got pregnant on my first round of IVF and I credit that a lot to Ryan. It should be noted that I first heard about Ryan and Avenue Acupuncture from several people who were previously struggling with infertility. Ryan is a bit of a legend in helping women doing IVF get pregnant right away. When it came time for my baby to be born and I was going overdue and would need to be induced I did two sessions with Ryan and went into labour spontaneously. I cannot thank Ryan and Avenue Acupuncture enough for helping me fulfill my dream of being a mom. I would 100% recommend Avenue Acupuncture to anyone. read more

Absolutely tremendous service. To give context, Avenue Acupuncture wasn't my initial first choice - I had gotten one treatment from another acupuncturist in the city. I had a TERRIBLE experience. I happened to come across Avenue and had my first consult with Brendan. Night. And. Day. He took the time to get to know me, hear my story, understand my past health issues and even apologized for the previous experience I had with the other practitioner! He tailored a custom treatment plan and was always timely with my mid-week inquiries! Everyone here - even Avenue's STELLAR receptionist Henrietta truly care about their patients - something rare in the health care space. I've been going to Avenue for just over 3 months to gain insight in my fertility journey and improve my cycles while TTC... I just found out 4 days ago that I'm now 6 weeks pregnant! (Coming from irregular, anovulatory cycles with PCOS) Thank you a million times Brendan for your expertise and care. Would highly recommend 100x over! read more

Avenue Acupuncture is the epitome of care and comfort. The clinic is a great place of zen and is well designed with your comfort in mind. Ryan and Brendan are absolutely delightful! Ryan is an experienced and knowledgable individual with a special focus in eye conditions, although he is well versed in all health concerns. Both Ryan and Brendan are dedicated to getting you better. They are able to quickly understand your concerns and develop a treatment plan tailored to you! Ryan's technique is amazing and it shows how skilled he is as an acupuncturist. Honestly, you won't find anyone as attentive, passionate, and experienced as these two practitioners! I highly recommend Avenue Acupuncture. read more

Over the past several months I was experiencing chronic pain in my right shoulder that was not only hindering my ability to work out, but was also becoming an issue with certain day to day tasks. After an initial assessment and one acupuncture treatment with Brendan Dolan of Avenue Acupuncture, I noticed a substantial difference in the severity of the pain. After three treatments the pain was gone completely. I had a fourth treatment in order to close the loop and the issue has not resurfaced at all to date. I highly recommend Brendan to anyone looking for treatment for joint pain. He will give you an honest assessment and will let you know whether he thinks he can help you; or not. read more

Brendan made a believer out of me. I saw Brendan for the first time at Avenue Acupuncture for needless acupuncture. Long story short , I HATE NEEDLES! The fear is so REAL. He's was amazing and explained how needless acupuncture works. I would feel relieve in the nagging pain in my hip in 3 sessions. I kept an open mind and trusted ihim. My last needle acupuncture session at another clinic 15 years prior lasted 10 second before I freaked out. This should be better no doubt. Well, by the 3rd session we had to check Brendan's notes which side was being treated again because I forgot. I was pain free. It was a great experience for sure. read more

Ryan at Avenue Acupuncture is hands down one of the most helpful, caring, and effective practitioners I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I'm a cellist and have been having issues with tendinitis and shoulder pain and he is the only one I'd trust with such an important asset of my career. I've seen countless doctors over the course of 8 years regarding my chronic condition and acupuncture is the first method of treatment that has actually relieved my pain. Ryan is knowledgeable, perceptive, and goes at a pace that makes his patients feel comfortable. I highly recommend Ryan at Avenue Acupuncture to anyone seeking any kind of healing! read more

I was at a point of desperation regarding constant pain in my head. I have whiplash from a car accident that happened over 2 years ago. From the 1st appointment that I had with Brendan Dolan, just a few weeks ago; I am gaining back peace and calm in my life and my head. Finally the constant pain is being reduced and eliminated. Medications are temporary, acupuncture is a therapy that achieves great pain relief, healing and calm. Brendan is giving me back a quality of life that I have not had since my car accident. Ryan can be a very important part of your health prevention goals, as well as assist with acute symptoms... I had a problem with my eyes, and Ryan's treatment assisted me right away, and the symptoms diminished... he also worked on my ankle which flared up and had me limping.. after one day all the ankle symptoms disappeared! I am excited now to be embarking on a proactive prevention program and work towards a full return to health! Thankful! Karen S. read more

I started working with Ryan last year when I was diagnosed with PCOS. After acupuncture and using herbs I was able to conceive in January of this year. I am SO grateful for his help and for the use of traditional chinese medicine in helping with an otherwise "hopeless" case. He also helped me go into labour last month through acupuncture and has helped my postpartum hives. An all around supporter of reproductive health - thanks Ryan! read more

My mother is from Turkey and has very bad vision. Doctors said the nerves in her eyes are dead and she will never be able to see better. I brought her to Ryan and even after the first visit she already start to see better. We brought her for 2 weeks and it keeps getting better, she now sees more colors and less blurry and sees things on the sides better too. Ryan is also very nice man with a big heart read more

I'm a chiropractor in the neighbourhood who regularly refers my patients to Ryan. He is an extremely skilled and knowledgeable acupuncturist and Chinese medicine doctor (I'm very particular about who I refer my patients to). Not only does he provide excellent care for my patients but I am his patient as well. If you're looking for excellent care, I can't recommend Ryan enough. read more

Very clean and easy to access. The practitioner, Ryan, was very friendly and really knew what he was doing. I have seen other acupuncturists before but have gotten the best results from him so far. I have had chronic back pain from a herniated disk, but the problem has almost completely disappeared within the month I have been seeing him. Thanks so much! read more
