You have to turn into the Arbors at Carrollwood development (look for the flags at the entrance), circle a roundabout, and then her location is in the shops area, next to a laundromat. It is not marked very well, so look for the hanging sign. Her shop is just one room, so I waited outside while she finished with her current client. I love that she was exactly on time, even though she had back-to-back appointments. Ashley was awesome! Friendly, cheerful, and chatty, she made my waxing time fly by, with a minimal amount of pain. Her shop was bright and clean, and appeared to be very sanitary. The experience was just so perfect, I have already scheduled my next appointment in 4 weeks.

I booked a couple of weeks in advance by phone and made clear that I wanted accent highlights and a cut to freshen up for a headshot I needed to take. I got there about 10 min early and I was sent through covid protocols and sign-offs which were highly appreciated and was sent to wait for my scheduled stylist at around my actual appointment time. 10 min after my appointment time I was finally called over pleasantly and I sat down for my consult and explained to my stylist a few things I know about how I like my hair. 1. Undercut the back where I have baby hairs that knots easily if they're left too long 2. I wanted medium top layering all the way around. My own self-cut fringe from a year before had grown out nicely and I told him they were a good guide for about what I wanted. 3. I wanted the accent highlights upfront to bring in some warmth to my 4 inches of new growth, that I could throw some semi-perm color on myself later if I wanted, as I've been doing for years. The stylist proceeds to tell me he doesn't have time for the highlights and that I'd have to book for another time after my portrait day. He then walked off to prep my wash service while I was trying to bring up photos of what kind of cut I wanted and barely looked at it when he came back. The wash service was excellent and was incredibly pampering after months of no hair services...his scalp massage was divine. Then we head back to the chair to cut and he gets going. It looks like he's sectioning well etc. He spends all of 6-7 minutes trimming and begins to pull out the dryer for styling. After a basic trim....no undercut, no layering, no nothing, just nipping the dead ends off, the blow-dry, which was done well, lasted longer than the cutting. It looks decent and I tipped well knowing stylists rely on that money, not because of the service, I just wanted to get out of there and not berate the guy. Ultimately, having been an Aveda fan for years in multiple states, this felt rushed, inattentive to what I wanted, and overpriced. read more

This is a very professional, immaculate salon with friendly staff and great service. I am very thrilled every time I visit the salon, feeling like a million bucks because the service is very detailed and the staff is very attentive. Prior to visiting, I was looking for anything decent that specializes in blondes and I have found it! My color is fantastic. My new stylist is AMAZING! I was recommended products to me that I never would have been able to find with research. I knew I wanted to give this place a try even prior to coming because the staff on the phone was super friendly and helpful scheduling my appointments and trying to figure out the day/time that works best for me even after me cancelling/rescheduling. It's hard to trust a hair salon, but they've gained my trust! The waiting area was clean, chic, and comfortable. I waited just a few minutes before taken to the chair. I really like how my stylist walked me through the process and answered all of my questions. She listens to me as I described how I want my hair cut and offers helpful suggestions. I explained what I wanted and why. She asked about my general hair care routine and the products that I used and informed of how I could get better use of the products. I was given advice on upkeep with growing out my hair. Then she worked her magic and gets the perfect shade of blonde. I feel she is talented and someone I could trust going forward. The result was greater than expected because I absolutely loved it. And you know it's great job because I have received so many compliments. Everyone I have interacted with the salon has been great it it's a place I really felt comfortable. The salon is really gleaming and the products are top of the line. I'm so glad that I went back and gave this new salon a try after I stopped going to the prior salon. The old owner was creepy, but when I heard that they were under new management I figured I would give them a try. The salon was remodeled and is extremely inviting and the staff are so friendly. As soon as I walked in I was welcomed and offered a glass of wine, beer , coke or water. I noticed that the beer was served in a frosted mug. Mindy did such a good job on my hair as well. I was treated to a long hand massage as well as head massage. I also really enjoyed the new foot baths the salon started doing. While you wait to process the salon will put some aroma therapy stuff in a bowl with rose petals and hot rocks to let your feet soak. It is really relaxing. I met one of the new owners who was incredibly nice. Lastly, I saw where they had Santa clause come to the salon for Christmas to play with the kids. This is such a good idea. They also had braids and beers night where they teach dads how to so their daughters hair. I didn't go last time, but my husband and I will go next time. I had an incredible visit to Salon Norrell from the moment I walked in and was greeted by the friendly receptionist Kyla. She asked me to select two complimentary services in addition to the color and haircut I had booked. I chose the scalp and hand massage. The salon atmosphere is fun but they are serious about pampering clients. New artist in training Olivia was incredible. She talked with me about what I was looking for in color and cut and explained how she was going to achieve the look. Her mentor Christine checked in with us and assured me that I was in great hands. I was offered beverages and had a refreshing mimosa while I settled in for some much needed hair maintenance. Every square foot of the salon is stylish and designed to inspire guests to be their very best version of themselves. I have been coming here for a little over than three years. Kristine has been my stylist and I could not be any happier! I discovered this place soon after I have relocated from Chicago, where I used to go to another Aveda salon. So, I had high expectations, and the courteous and friendly members of this location have never failed! I have coarse, unruly, wavy, and fully gray hair, and all four different styles that Kristine cut for me worked out terrific! Kristine knows every trick that a hairstylist is supposed to know--at least the ones who cut my hair!--from thinning out to cutting perfect layers. She is never shy of trying new styles, and best of all, if you showed her pictures of tdifferent styles that you like, she will give you one that combines all! Super creative without being crazy. I can't recommend this salon enough! We came in for an emergency appointment after a DIY hair color at home went very wrong, and they completely turned the situation around. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so kind, patient, and reassuring. I typically get my haircut at "chain" establishments, as I don't put too much emphasis on my hair. I thought anywhere I go, it will be the same. Typically I pay $20 to get my haircut. After talking to friends and coworker that visit more boutique salons to get their hair cut, I decided to try one. I stopped into Salon Norrell and was very surprised on how different they approach their clientele. The salon is very nice. I got my haircut by Mindy and she was very professional and had a lot of experience. I just told her to cut my hair shorter and she just took over and gave me suggestions on how to cut it and what would look best. Plus they massaged my hands which was different but nice. For a several bucks more I get better service than I usually expect and most of all a better haircut. I would recommend this establishment. read more

I had my hair done for the first time at Salon Norrell by hair artist Bri, and I absolutely love my hair! I'm SUPER picky about my hair, and who does my hair...and who I go to. I have dark brown hair and wanted a lighter bayalage. Most places have used the usual bleach in my hair first, and even then it doesn't get me to where I want. Bri was my artist, and she exceeded in giving me the color I wanted so badly...without frying my hair to shreds lol. I was super comfortable, and everyone at that salon was very friendly. Best Salon Ever! I came in because my hair was trashed from my last stylist who I thought knew what she was doing. I called to see If they could fix my old yellow blonde and they assured me they could . I came in and to my surprise was ecstatic when I left. My hair has never looked better. I have found my new salon. When they gave me a glass of wine I thought that was nice, but then to have the hand massage and foot soak...im sold. I had a haircut today with Jaime. We discussed my hair needs and wants, and came up with a game plan together. I was really impressed with her product knowledge and precise cutting techniques. I have curly hair so finding a stylist who can do magic with curls is difficult, Jaime definitely brought my curls back to life! I have been going to this salon for several years after having my hair virtually destroyed by over processing and using the wrong products. Kristen is my stylist and gives me the best "dry" hair cut (hair is thick and with a mind of its own) that I have ever had as well as coloring my hair to perfection. She is a Godsend to my hair!! The absolute best!! Finding a stylist who cares more about the health of your hair than just making a sale is rare, but Kendall at Salon Norrell Aveda is an absolute gem. I went in as a model for their training program with some previous home-color mess, and she was completely honest with me about what my hair could and couldn't handle right now. Love this salon. I went in for an appointment today to have my hair colored and cut. I was greeted by a very friendly staff upon arrival. After sitting in the chair my stylist listened to what I wanted and made suggestions as to what color would be best for me. We decided on doing highlights and low lights to give my hair some depth. She also explained to me that the Aveda products that she would be using are gentle on your hair with no harsh chemicals. My hair color turned out beautiful. It looks so good. I really cannot say enough good things about Salon Norrell. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted with a smile and offered a beverage. While my color processed, I drank wine while my feet soaked in a rose petal bath. After my hair was clean, Lindsay massaged my scalp and hands and I felt completely pampered and relaxed while I received my style. Lindsay is seriously the best!!! She has VERY quickly rose through the ranks and is now the best hair stylist I know. She did her best to get me in while working with both of our schedules, including my long commute to Tampa. She was able to get me in the week after they opened back up during these trying times, as my head of hair was literally falling apart since my appointment was eight months long overdue. Loan is amazing at what she does and has a lot of patience to deal with me; not even going to lie. She knows what to do with my hair every time and always knows what she is working with. I…read moreguess asking for a bit of "Consideration" when it comes to rebooking is certainly NOT appreciated by her nor by @Shampoo-The Salon ! I was rebooked twice within 3 days after making an appointment OVER 2 weeks ago. Today when they called to rebook again I told them that I was not happy and that I was gonna talk to Laura on my appointment. To my surprise I receive a Text not a Call but a TEXT to inform me that Laura Fallon does not feel comfortable anymore doing my hair and that my appointment was cancelled. Courtesy of a Call or Being a LONG Customer means absolutely nothing to Laura Fallon !!!

I called Salon Halo and had a pleasant greeting from the receptionist (who I think was named Rachel but I'm not positive). She was able to arrange an appointment with the amazing Angela with just 45 minutes notice. Angela was a dream to work with. She gave me a full consultation which ensured my comfort prior to her working with my hair. She was very knowledgeable and a great listener, all traits that I look for in any stylist. She was easy to converse with and made my experience at the salon memorable and one to return for. We worked together to decide on the necessary color for my roots in order for them to most effectively blend with the rest of the hair. She applied a toner to the remainder of the hair and I was very pleased with the results. My hair, which was originally brown with caramel balayage, had turned brassy and orange. She revived my hair and trimmed my ends to give me an overall refresh that I desperately needed this holiday season. I will definitely be back to Salon Halo for my next Balayage treatment!

It was my first time at a salon. I am actually a hairstylist myself. Usually I do my own hair but overall again I can't see the back of my head like somebody else would, so I trusted Jessie . The haircut didn't turn out the way I expected, and it's affected my confidence more than I anticipated. I've been feeling pretty self-conscious since getting it done, I'm disappointed with the result . I want to share my experience respectfully. Unfortunately, the service I received here did not meet my expectations, and I left feeling very disappointed with the result. Based on my experience, I would not personally recommend this place. And I don't think she should be referring herself as a curly specialist with all respect. I am gonna add some pictures of my hair before the cut . And some pictures after , I didn't even take many because I felt so UGLY ! I've been stuck to pay for sew ins and braids until my hair grows back.. because I cannot fathom to walk around with this terrible haircut..

Yes, I do my own bleaching at home. No, we are not unpacking that. Shelbie was assigned to me at HAAS Salon and I genuinely loved her. Professional, funny, easy to talk to, and not one comment about the state of my hair. She kept the conversation lively and made the whole appointment feel relaxed instead of awkward. Time passed by quickly.. Now, a small but important note. I brought my mother because that is just what we do. We grabbed food next door and sat in the waiting area finishing our vegetable rolls before my appointment. Apparently, that is not the vibe. Also, if your guest is not getting a service, they would prefer they not hang out in the waiting room. To be clear, Shelbie handled both the eating in the waiting room and my mother observing the entire process with total grace. She stayed professional and kind throughout. In the end, my haircut turned out beautifully. Clean, Layered Just Right, exactly what I wanted... current on trends too. So thank you, Shelbie. You handled the situation like a pro, and I walked out very happy.

I went inside and asked the receptionist who then brought me outside to show me the four spots available for customers to park in. There was one spot left as we watched an SUV pull into it, and hit the car next to it with a loud crunch as we watched. Her comment to me was, "well I guess it's a good thing you didn't park there ". 2) the person that colored my hair, really struggled with not getting it to turn fire engine red and pumpkin orange. He finally got it to about the right color, after a few tries, and several hours. He was nice enough & did his best, and I realize he's learning, but at these prices I expected a little more expertise rather than experimentation. Still, I would have come back if it wasn't for the 3rd event. 3) what finally really sealed the deal with me on not coming back here and leaving this review is the fact that when I paid, I was charged a service charge for the entire bill because I was using my debit card. Being that I was paying over $500 because I also bought products, it turned out to be quite a hefty service charge. I've never had any credible business charge me a service charge for using my debit card before in my life. Not even the coffee shop charges me a service charge for using my debit card. After complaining about the bizarre service charge and told I could walk across Florida Avenue to find an ATM...., as I walked out receptionist then started giggling about I guess my ridiculousness to the stylist standing next to her. Because, you know... People who can actually afford to pay these prices are really ridiculous and deserve to be laughed at before the door closes behind them. Keep laughing, I won't be back.

Wanted a change for hair extensions K-tip versus weft. The consultation lady was pleasant, good…read moresales lady! Ordered $1,000 worth of extensions, was told 4 packs, not detailed on receipt I was given. Also told $400 for installation including color and styling every 4 months, so $1400 every 4 months versus paying monthly $375 and hair good for about a year. I thought I was going to save $100. The day of the installation when she grabbed the boxes, she said it was only 3, that she was confused with someone else , red flag! then at cashier, was supposed to pay now $800 installation + tip, not the $1400 quoted initially, more like $1800 + tip. I have an elephant memory, but I don't like my intelligence to be insulted. So if you insist on going there for a consultationor whatever, get everything in writing and detailed or you will get surprises, unless you don't care and have a bottomless budget. i always trust and verify and like to receive what I paid for. I was promised the invoice showing the number of packs and never got and she mentioned a "paper" where everything was written down, no such thing! just the receipt for the $1,000 extensions and no quantity. So be careful!

From the beginning she was warm, welcoming and just an overall great person to spend the day with. As time progressed, including my wedding, she made every effort to make sure my hair color and extensions were perfect for my day of! I got sooooo many compliments on it. Then, I decided to do something crazy. I spent 10 years coloring my hair like a blonde, and then one day I decided I wanted to go RED. now, Megan told me all the fun it would be but that I had to trust her, going red is a PROCESS & boy was she right. But it has been the best decision I've ever made; hands down. I truly am in awe every time I look in the mirror and I get so many compliments saying how natural and professional my hair looks. I really cannot thank Megan enough for continuing to be my hair girlie and truly make me feel so loved and beautiful. I'll always be your biggest fan!!
