I was referred to Caroline by my best friend, who spent years searching for someone who could truly perfect a short bob with a stacked back, and Caroline absolutely nailed it. Her haircut and color were incredible, which immediately gave me the confidence to book my own appointment. I have long, layered hair, and from the moment I arrived, Caroline was so engaging and attentive. She really listened to what I wanted and was patient throughout the entire process. She did my roots, balayage, haircut, and blowout. I couldn't be happier with the results. I especially appreciated that she didn't overcut and checked in along the way to make sure I was comfortable with the length. She's also incredibly efficient, never rushed, but very intentional with her time, which made the whole experience feel smooth and relaxing. I felt truly pampered, and the little add-ons made it even more special. The salon itself is beautiful and luxurious without feeling pretentious, and everyone there was so welcoming and kind. Unfortunately, my experience at the salon ended on a very negative note, prompting me to write this review. I never expected to feel this way after 4 years, during which I worked with two different stylists. The first stylist is no longer there, and the reasons for her departure weren't shocking to read in other reviews. My second stylist, Jessica, had always been pleasant & professional until the last visit when she unexpectedly assigned the task of removing my bleach to another staff member. This person accidentally sprayed bleach into my eyes while rinsing my hair, & I realized too late that Jessica was not the one handling my treatment. She had delegated this critical part of the process without consulting me, which was completely out of character for her. I confronted Jessica while she was attending to another client, expressing my dissatisfaction with her decision to let someone else take over without my consent. This was a departure from her usual practice of managing the entire process herself. When the manager approached me, she presented an incident report and inquired if I needed medical assistance, which I declined due to potential costs. I requested the salon's insurance information, but she refused to provide it, insisting she couldn't give me money, which I never asked for. Her inability to handle the situation appropriately further highlighted the unprofessionalism I encountered, leaving me frustrated and disappointed with the salon's management. It's common knowledge that businesses maintain insurance policies to shield themselves from liability. My boyfriend asked the manager if she could provide cream for my face in case the bleach caused irritation, but she responded rudely, stating she couldn't help. Prior to that, while waiting for me in the lobby, he was informed that phone calls were not allowed inside & that he needed to step outside. Ultimately, she asked us to leave the premises, displaying a rude & anxious demeanor, even threatening to call the police. Such behavior is completely unacceptable, especially after an incident where bleach, water, and shampoo were splashed into a client's eyes. I cannot recommend this establishment under the current management. It's disheartening to see individuals cut corners in their jobs, passing responsibilities to less knowledgeable staff, which ultimately harms clients. We requested that the manager have the owner contact us, but that call never came. I overlooked three unsatisfactory services from her. This is why I decided to give your salon another opportunity with Jessica. The "free" service was actually a donation to my non-profit organization, not for my personal benefit.(Tax Deductible for you). I did not request any "Free" products, but I did ask for a birthday discount both a month before and after my birthday, which was denied each time. I also referred my boyfriend to your salon and inquired about a possible discount for us. Although I was told yes, we ultimately chose not to go ahead because of the way you treated us. Each time I come to this location, the price is higher than what is quoted on the phone. This time, I recorded the conversation, confirmed my requested services and the prove multiple times and explained that when I come, I am charged higher than what I am quoted over the phone. Each time, there is a reason for it and I pay the higher amount. I am now posting about this and warning other patrons. They will charge you $25 to blow dry your hair without quoting this on the phone if you do not get your hair cut with your color service. The ladies do a good job and I like aveda products but this is not an acceptable practice to me and I want others to know and be warned. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. For several reasons. They will botch you. The professionalism is crazy terrible. Managers aren't managing anything but liability. Rebekah lacked professionalism, Courtney cut hair on medication and admitted to being ill and dizzy during the install of extensions for a client and during the hair cut and color of my mother. No one wanted to take responsibility for their actions or the actions of their team. Several calls and emails through the website were sent and no response from anyone who said they would return a call. Unfortunately for us we didn't check the google reviews before booking and that was our fault since something similar happened to another client. Heart breaking and terrible service. Towards the end of my hair cut the stylist (Courtney) told me she took a pill earlier that day for period cramps that was not ibuprofen and she admittedly told me she felt dizzy and drugged all day! Salon refused to give me a refund. They wanted me to go back for a fix with another stylist however Courtney was "supposed to be" their best color and cut stylist so why would I ever let anyone else in the salon try and fix the mess that she made?! read more

Salon Norrell in Carrollwood is incredible! The salon itself is beautiful, relaxing, and luxurious but--most importantly-- my hair has never looked better than in the 5 years I've been coming here. My stylist, Olivia, is so talented and knows exactly how to make me happy even when I don't know how to describe what I want to her. I'm blonde, and it's a hard balance to keep up with great bright color and avoiding distinct roots. Olivia nails it every time. Now for the worst part, they refused to give me a haircut because I went in with my two toddlers 3 and 4, who were quietly sitting on their stroller on their tablets. I didn't plan to come in with my kids, but husband had an event I didn't remember about and thought it would be fine for a quick haircut. If you're a mom of little ones, don't come here because they will not accommodate you. Completely inaccurate response. At least one of those appointments was correcting a haircut. The word stupid never came out of my mouth, the word dumb did (I said it was a dumb policy) when my kids did not pose a threat to themselves or others, did not make a sound, and did not leave their stroller.
