I had Makenna Turner color my hair. I've been trying to find someone to color it like I want it for years. I have naturally dark brunette hair but I wanted blond highlights and brunette lowlights. Makenna did it perfectly. The owner Sheridan is so kind and advised us along the way. The Salon is beautiful and very relaxing. I thought I was in New York getting my hair done! The prices are really reasonable too. I live in Salt Lake but will be driving to Ogden now. The price is half of what I was paying and it's so beautiful. Now I have to find a way to get my hair thicker so it can be extra beautiful! If you have any suggestions of how to do that let me know! read more

Scheduled an appointment for a root touch up. Once I arrived 10 minutes early I waited 30 minutes total to get in the chair. The only thing they could do for me was lighten my pink color to wash it out. It didnt completely come o it btw. Then did a trim. Total came out to $240. Was overcharged and underserved. I do NOT recommend. read more

After finding Sam Hurst (Streamline Hair Design) on instagram and seeing her work, I was really excited to book an appointment. The first time I went in, my hair was brown to blond balayge and I asked for the roots to be broken up a bit with more blonde. When Sam was done, it literally looked exactly as it had when I walked in. I thought maybe she was hesitant to change it up too much since I was a first time client. I booked another appointment for 4 weeks out. At the next appointment, I again asked for "less dark roots". She agreed, and offered to add in some rose gold throughout. After an hour, and another appointment in between mine, Sam washed me out. It was so streaky and the pink was just confusing. I immediately said I didn't like it and she said she'd tone it. However, after it was dried, it was really bad. She was extremely defensive and said she couldn't just "make me all blonde without destroying my hair". I left, and the next day felt even worse about the streaks (and bleeding highlights), I sent Sam a message and asked if she could add the dark back, or anything, to correct for the terrible highlights. She wasn't very accommodating and blamed me for wanting blonde on my dark. She told me I could come in that Saturday, and then a bit later messaged me to say, "I'll discount this appointment to $80". I never expected the correction to be free, but was really put off by her attitude. I ultimately went somewhere to have it corrected. The new dresser was able to accomplish exactly what I wanted without damaging my hair. (The new dresser said the foil bleeds and highlights were very "student" level and walked me through the areas that needed corrections. Commented that Sam foiled down, rather than at an angle.) read more

While I do not know about the salon as a whole, one of the hair stylists there (Samantha Hurst) is unprofessional in her dealings with her customers. When I first scheduled an appointment with her she was joking how she "fires" customers for being late (even though she herself runs late frequently). Even if they are only 5 minutes late. When I asked her once to add a few highlights to my hair (after it was way darker than I had requested) she got offended that I was not pleased with what she had done to my hair and refused to fix my hair. She then canceled all future appointments with me and refused to do my hair again. I really did not think it was a big deal to ask her to add a few highlights. It takes time for a stylist and a customer to get to know each other and how to do hair the way a customer likes it. I spent almost $100 on the color and gave her a $15 tip after the color, but was not completely satisfied with how it turned out. I have never, ever dealt with a hairstylist who got so offended that I was not completely pleased with what she had done. Most shocking was her complete temper tantrum over my displeasure. It really was not that big of a deal IMHO and could have been fixed in 20 minutes or under of her time (I even offered to pay for all materials again and a tip). Just add a few strands of blonde, and all is well. Very, very strange and unprofessional behavior. read more

My hair always turns out beautifully with both a vibrant colour and perfect cut. I've had both the owner Carolynn and Megan cut/color my hair and as I wrote, loved the results. What's more, the products they use in my hair keep the color strong and make styling easy. The price point in more than fair, I've gone to salons that charged me over $200, and Ave is half that. My daughter recommended Lacey Valdez to me many years ago and I am so glad she did. I was hesitant at first to go because I thought I would feel out of place being, you know, old. But I love Lacey and Ave Salon. It is true that all of the stylists are young enough to be my daughters but it is a warm and inviting atmosphere. I booked an appointment with Carolyn 2 months ago for a cut. On my way to my appointment I got stuck in traffic so I called to let her know I'd be about 15 minutes late. I was told by her receptionist that she wasn't with anyone at the moment and was double booked after me. She would not take me! She didn't call to ask if I could come earlier and didn't talk to me personally to try to help me. Just kept having her receptionist say she wouldn't be able to get me in today. I found it so unprofessional and rude and arrogant. She didn't even offer to cut it without styling it. 2 months I waited to just be dismissed! And the irony is 99% of the time they make you wait! She might be good but I'll never know. Would not recommend her! read more

Terrible customer service. Charged me for an appointment I cancelled months ago. I also tried to cancel the day before the appointment as well considering they were still texting me about the appointment. I don't think that it should take more than that to get the point across that I wanted to cancel my appointment. Very disappointed with how customer service was and that the owner is so money hungry that she has to charge people for things that they did not receive. read more
