David Anderson of Paintboy recently refinished my kitchen oak cabinets circa 1988 and 2004. The…read morechallenge was not only in refinishing, but making them look uniform. My old standard cabinets now look like exprensive custom cabinetry with a rich dark and shaded finish. He then painted my center island a deep blue with shading and glazing that made it look like an old piece of furniture one might find in a Tuscan farmhouse. It is magnificent. I was so delighted with the result, I asked him to do my powder room oak cabinet. He used a multistep process that transformed it into an amazing piece of taupe colored antique furniture. Additionally, during the whole process, I had complete use of both rooms. David is not simply a painter--he is a gifted artisan that can turn an ordinary space into a place of beauty that is uniquely you. I give Paintboy my highest endorsement.

Brian Webster--SouthernRestorations.com/Atlanta…read more Just a fellow parishioner of the Restoration/Refinishing trade visiting town, stopped in to say hello. Mr. Steve Richardson welcomed me in and proudly showed me his operations. As a fellow artisan from Atlanta, I can certainly give my praise to the business he and his family have built.....definitely First Rate! Seeing examples of his work and the way he runs his business, I would have no qualms about sending business his way and have no doubt they would be well taken care of! High praise from a fellow passionate artisan in the trade! Bravo, Mr. Richardson, Keep up the good work!

One was pulled in, the other was straight back. When I brought it to their attention the employee who worked on it, aggressively started pointing at other shades of stain on the piece. He then went away shaking his head saying I don't have time for this. I thought the owner was going to say something to the employee for his rudeness. However he didn't he turned to me and said we don't normally get any kind of criticism and I don't know what to tell you. He offered no fixing what was wrong, he offered no apology. This place thinks they are always right even when being pointed out flaws. Our company will never use them again.

We paid J. Wade Cabinetry over $7,000 in good faith after being told our custom cabinetry project…read morewould begin in January 2026. Unfortunately, months passed with little to no communication, repeated delays, and no evidence that work had actually begun on our cabinets. Throughout the process, we repeatedly had to reach out for updates, and our messages often went unanswered for weeks. We were given multiple explanations for the delays, including a business move and other personal circumstances, but we never received photos of materials, progress updates, or any indication that our project was actively being worked on. After waiting far beyond the promised start date and making numerous attempts to communicate, we requested a refund. This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. We trusted that our project would be handled professionally, but instead we were left without our cabinets, without clear communication, and without the service we paid for.
