Despite what the name might imply, the office here is in the UCF/Waterford area, not Altamonte Springs. I picked Dr Seela because of his office location. Close by my house. When they say location location location, it does not necessarily mean close to your home. I made an appointment for a consultation and the office was packed full like the Social Security office is. That should have been my first warning. Warning number 2 was that my appointment was that 3 o'clock and I didn't get seen until after 3:30. So the doctor orders a colonoscopy at the ambulatory Surgical Center at Florida East and prescribes a cleansing solution to clean my colon. So I take a full day off of work drink my solution and have diarrhea for 3 hours. The solution cost $50 with insurance. So today I show up at the surgery center and find out that the doctor is not scheduled in until next Wednesday. I called the doctor's office and they asked me if I got a phone call regarding this yesterday. I said no I got a phone call from your office reminding me to take my solution. They said well we need to reschedule your procedure. The hell they put me through yesterday is not worth going to this office and taking the chance of another mistake! I would not ever recommend this doctor's office to anybody!

They are not there to give you an earnest diagnosis, they want to get you in and out the door as quickly as possible to cash in on your insurance. My brother in law went in with severe abdominal pain, extremely high blood pressure and heart-rate, a fever and several other conditions that were obviously severe in nature. They sent him home within a few minutes of looking at him despite the severity of his symptoms. Within 24 hours, he was dead. The hospital was shocked and confused as to how appropriate medical attention was not taken a day earlier. Keep in mind he was very young (40) and in good shape-- it was determined he had experienced organ failure over several days which ultimately killer him. How a "urgent care" could be so shockingly obtuse is more than incompetence or negligent. It's genuinely evil. I will be telling everyone far and wide to avoid this location at all costs, if they had done their job he would still be alive. Horrifying.

I have serious concerns about the safety and well-being of the patients who seek treatment here…read more After several days of complaining of abdominal pain, nausea and occasional fever and chills, and very rapid resting heart rate, my son stopped in on a Friday afternoon to have it checked out. When he was discharged, he was given a prescription antacid and recommendation to see a Cardiologist. He worsened overnight. In the morning, he was convinced to get to a proper Emergency/Trama Center. When his mother and I arrived at the ER, the attending Doctor explained that he was exhibiting signs of Sepsis. As they began the process to confirm with lab work, his heart stopped and the ER staff were unable to resuscitate him. MiniER's web page contains the statement, "The miniER in Waterford Lakes is not your typical urgent care." This seems ironically accurate to me. I believe that most typical medical providers would have immediately recognized the seriousness of our son's situation and called for an ambulance. Instead, he was treated for an upset stomach and released. It is an insult that this webpage requires at least ONE STAR rating!
