Avalon Exchange is now on my top list of upscale thrift/ boutique stores. It's trendy but still fun and there's a ton of stuff in here. Sunglasses, jeans, athletic wear, dresses, graphic tees, jewelry and much more. I found a couple pairs of Zara jeans, which usually run at least $60-$80 regularly, for *$10.50* a piece! They have some crazy good deals here. If you are a brand name person you definitely want to stop in here. Their clothing racks are labeled, and they even have one labeled "designer". There are tons of sneakers and other goodies as well. I got the coolest watch ring from here and get so many compliments whenever I wear it- for $6! I was a little disappointed in their graphic tee selection, as someone who loves a good tshirt with cool or goofy design. Their selection seemed weird and even taking the time to go through them I couldn't find any worth snatching up. This is unusual even at a regular thrift store. My other small complaint would just be the workers- none of them were friendly or approachable, it seemed they were all on the same vibe in that way. But overall I'll definitely be coming back here to find some more good at really reasonable prices.

The 2nd you walk in, you feel like you have entered a world where normal rules do not apply ....self expression is not just allowed, it is a demand.. There is absolutely no way you are leaving this store without something you adore because the selection is outrageous. Period gowns, corsets, dramatic top hats, Cuban shirts, feathers, faux diamonds, canes, statement jackets, wild accessories, and all the extra embellishments that make an outfit go from basic to unforgettable are packed into every corner. You almost have to take a full tour before committing to anything because your brain needs a minute to process how much fabulousness is happening all at once. What makes it even better is that you do not need a special occasion to justify being here. Yes, it is perfect for girls nights, boys nights, bachelor and bachelorette parties, themed events, and any moment that requires drama, but there are also pieces you can absolutely wear during the day if you are someone who refuses to blend into the background. You can find shirts and standout clothing that work beyond costume energy if you have the personality to match them. This shop succeeds where so many others have tried and failed because it does not feel cheap, thrown together, or gimmicky. It feels intentional, confident, and fully committed to its aesthetic. La France understands that fashion should be fun and expressive, not safe and forgettable. If you are in Tampa and you have not walked into La France, you are missing one of the most entertaining retail experiences in the city. Go see it for yourself, try things on, let yourself have a moment, and do not be surprised when you walk out smiling with something bold in your hands or wearing the outfit of your dreams!

What's funny is we were just at Goodwill so I saw a glass jar that was similar to one I found at Goodwill, it was $8 at Goodwill and $34 there. However, that was the only piece I found at Goodwill, whereas here there were so many beautiful pieces. You really can't compare the two, so I'll stop here, but I just wanted to make that clear. I've been into helping the environment recently, so I want to buy secondhand pieces when I can. We were looking for a vase. I ended up finding a gorgeous shell shaped vase. They actually had two, but one had a crack on one side, which is why it was discounted by $50. I decided to go for the non cracked one, which was $140. I think this is reasonable for the quality and it's a statement piece. I saw tons of other items that I loved. There was a standing desk for around $350 and a lot of benches and tables all in the couple of hundred dollar range. Again, not cheap, but definitely less expensive than they probably were when they were new. The guy working there was really nice and helpful. Parking was easy on both sides of the building. They pack this place full of such beautiful finds. I will definitely be back.
