It's been many years since I've had to search for a new apartment, and I was a little nervous about…read morehow the whole apartment-hunting game had changed since my last time around. So I decided to look into using an apartment broker, to take some of the burden off myself and let a professional handle things instead... After looking at a few different firms online, I got good vibes from The Rental Girl (TRG), a boutique real estate agency here in Los Angeles, that also handles apartment searches. I liked the fact that the company is on the smaller side (around 20 or so employees, I believe), so that you really get their full attention. And for me personally, it was also a big plus to support a women-owned business. For apartment searches, they offer a couple of options: 1) You can sign up on their website to access listings on your own. or... 2) They also offer a concierge service, where they take inventory of your specific needs and wants and then do a customized search for you, which includes setting up walk-thrus, handling paperwork, and basically taking charge of all the less-fun aspects of looking for a new apartment. Their concierge service is made up of a team of people who each cover a different area of Los Angeles. For the area I was looking in, I was assigned a terrific, friendly dynamo named Itza Campos. She took great care of me every step of the way, serving as a sounding board (and even a therapist at times, lol) as we considered various apartments, before landing on just the right one. It was a true pleasure working with her and I really can't thank her enough for all the help she gave me! TRG concierge service isn't inexpensive -- it's equal to the price of one month's rent on your new apartment -- but I have to say that I consider it money VERY well-spent. Itza made the whole process fun and basically painless. I would recommend The Rental Girl without hesitation for anyone who wants help in finding the perfect place to live. Thanks again to the great team at TRG, especially Itza!

Arielle is very knowledgeable of the areas in which we were looking, along the 134/210 corridor. It became evident that she well respected by other realtors, which helped us in both selling and buying. Arielle exhibited infinite patience in helping us to find the new home that fit our requirements. She quickly developed an appreciation for exactly what we were looking for, and presented homes that fit our expectations, including the "perfect fit" home that we are living in now! We became, and remain, friends through the process, and highly recommend Arielle!

Selling a Home in the Midst of Corona…read more I met Arielle at an open house, when my neighbor down the block was renting their property for 8 grand or something. Thought it was a good idea to cash in on my corner lot Silver Lake house, so I asked her about it. Later, I brought up the idea of selling the property. Arielle and her partner Dan came over and gave an honest appraisal of my options. They were attentive, informative and patient with my many questions regarding logistics, market value and strategy to get the most for my investment. I forgot when I said yes, but after that, we were a single-minded team. Let's get this house sold as quickly as possible so I can get on with my new life. We were off and running with open houses. Arielle was always there to greet clients, give them room to explore and answer questions about the house's unique features. How did I know this? My house was wired with 12 security cameras, so I was watching prospective homebuyers marvel at the details in their walkthrough. When I heard a question, I would text Arielle the answer so she could inform buyers on the spot. There's no other client that can audit Arielle's performance as I could, because I watched the whole thing. She was honest, informative, strategic, attentive and most of all, professional. She treated my house as if it was her own and looked out for my best interest throughout the process. We closed right around when Corona came to town. (Whew!) After all the final numbers were settled on, I packed like a madman (was keeping the house neat, just in case we needed another open house) and got outta Dodge. At the final moment when I was handing over my keys (well okay, I left them on the counter and kept my social distance), I felt nostalgic for the mad month we just went through. I couldn't've done it without Arielle's patience, kindness and wealth of experience. She and Dan were a team that was always on my side. They helped me secure my future and for this I am eternally grateful.
