Hypothesis: I would go to the DJ Store and they would have the cable I needed. Null Hypothesis: They wouldn't. I cycled my way down to the back streets parallel to Parramatta Road that were indiscernible as to whether the streets belonged to Leichhardt, Petersham or Stanmore. I locked my bike up and entered the sandstone building on the corner. (Sandstone referring to the colour and not the building material in this instance.) The shop was full of people looking at and trying the various electronic gadgets and DJ systems that were strewn across the shop. Some of them with Plastic Visors, some with arm bands, most in three quarter denim pants and all of them noticeably DJ's. A back and forth between two of the customers confirmed this as they talked about their "Decks" and the tracks they played, where they played. They just met, I was there experiencing the wonder of a first encounter. Would it grow to something more? Or would they leave it at the door? I chose my cable and took it to the counter, almost got sucked into an impulse purchase of a laptop case. Didn't buy it. Too expensive. Let me summarise my DJ Store experience. Full of DJ's, kind of expensive, but has the stuff you need. Result: I purchased my cable, but at what cost? (About $15.)

Very unimpressed with this place. I called SPECIFICALLY to check whether they had stock of a…read morecertain audio interface to which they said "THEY ARE IN STOCK". So I trek across town from Newport to Richmond to be told "WE DONT HAVE ANY IN STOCK"! There is one on the shelf which apparently is "already sold" even though there is nothing written on the box to indicate it. Clearly the game here is get the customer in the store as they will end up buying something else - which is what I had to do. The store is understaffed, people waiting everywhere....stock levels are pathetic...look at their website, almost every audio interface says "out of stock". Pathetic.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE with no end in sight. We ordered on 6th of March - now 10th April. No product,…read moreno delivery, no shipping, no communication, no return e-mails about the status until one day we finally got through and they returned our e-mail. The guy tells us the he can still ship the item, so we said okay. He assured us it would ship by the following week. Nothing, another week goes by and then after sending several e-mails and even calling their partner organization, who had no idea there are problems, we finally hear back that yes, we can offer you a refund. Great give me my fing money back ($689) so i can buy the product elsewhere! Now, almost 2 more weeks have gone by, no refund, no communication, crickets. What a joke, why are they still trading if insolvent? That is the only thing that makes sense. They are going under..!!

If I could give zero stars I would!…read more I would tell you not to buy from this company who, up til recently have basically trading while insolvent, but there is no need as they have, as of last Wednesday, gone dark. Monday of the previous week I ordered a Radial Engineering Stage Bug, plus $15.00 express shipping, specifically so that it would make that days shipping and reach me in time for a gig on Friday night. Next day, no email confirmation of payment and no confirmation of postage. I rang them back and got a flustered female on the other end, telling me some confused story about how sorry she was that no one told me during my THREE previous phone calls organising the sale and postage that they did not have the item in stock AND that this was because their boss was sick and hadn't been paying their invoices. I should have panicked then, but she sold me a story about how they could arrange direct shipping from the supplier and would ring me back once that was arranged. Now she did offer me a refund, and I feel silly not taking it, but she managed to convince me that everything was ok, and I would still have my item without a problem, so I acquiesced. And that was the not the last communication i had with them. Tuesday afternoon, still crickets, so I ring back and a different person reassures me that they have contacted the supplier who had agreed to shipping it to me direct and they were just waiting to hear back from them shortly.... And THAT was the last time I was able to speak to anyone. Next day my phone calls went straight to voicemail and now, I assume because their voicemail is full, there is not even that option. BAD FORM GUYS, YOU'VE REALLY CHICKENED OUT ON THIS ONE. AT LEAST LEAVE SOMEONE ON THE PHONE LINE, CAUSE THIS IS A REALLY STRESSFUL WAY TO TREAT YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS......AAARRGGHHHH......
