It was mostly crowded with students and young professionals. You could hardly find people above the age of 40. Needless to say, the choice of beers is great - which is also the Bar's unique selling point. Although a bit pricey, it is a great pleasure to drink yourself through the wide variety of mostly Belgian style beers (but beware the high percentage of alcohol!). I paid about 5-8€ per bottle, depending on what beer I choose. Like almost any other place in Metz, Les Berthom closed almost exactly at 2 a.m., which for me is much too early. However this is nothing which I could hold against them. The service and waiters are great and the cozy, familiar yet open vibe make it a really nice place to have a few. If you happen to pay a visit to Metz, check this bar out!

On peut boire 7 bières différentes à la pression et 15 autres à la bouteille. La Kilkenny est spécialement importée d'Irlande. Et puis leurs spécialités, ce sont les cocktails de bière. The prices are very reasonable for the rareness (is this a correct English?) of the beers. The service is friendly. The interior is made from recycled pallets and cable reels. An industrial look that is not everybody's taste, but I like it a lot. The whole atmosphere gives a cool hipster kind of feeling. (In 2019 hipsters were not yet out of fashion).

The pub was nearly empty when we arrived at 1830. By the time we left at 1930 it was standing room only. The drinks were inexpensive and they've got a good selection of mixed countries' beers on tap along with some bottled drinks. This was the first time I've seen the pub (or I would have stopped in previously) but won't be the last time I visit! The bartender was quick, spoke perfect English and was very honest (I had mistakenly tried to pay him twice...).

My friend claims it has the best rumpsteak in town. It would be mighty hard to beat this steak. I know. I ate it and savored it. Cooked to order, it rests in a bed of peppercorn sauce. My favorite part about this rectangular slab would be the crisped rich tasting top. Next would be the sauce. Slice some steak and dip lightly. And then the potatoes. Delicately stacked, sliced 2-3 mm thick, speckled with ham, delicious. My friend even ordered more a la carte. Yes, they do allow that. It also came with a side salad, but who cares?
