Butter croissant is amazing!! Way better than USA and less heavy/buttered (which I hate)…read more Everything about it was absolute perfection -- so light, flaky, and fresh. Chocolate almond croissant and chocolate pistachio brioche were also amazinggg. Both were very moist and rich inside and very chocolate-y ;) However, I gotta say the chocolate almond croissant I got in Montreal, Canada is better (lighter and flakier, not so buttery and rich). Plain chocolate croissant was ok, nothing remarkable about it -- I'm pretty surprised by my reaction to that one since I always LOVE chocolate. It just tasted flat (bread was not as flaky and the chocolate boring), compared to other croissants and pastries we tried at the store. Chausson aux Pommes was okay, really too much like normal applesauce plus a crusty shell, nothing great about it at all. I thought it'd be more varied in texture (with slices or bits inside), but it was all pureed.
As for savory sandwiches, jambon (ham) & gruyere sandwich was all right but better when warmed. Sauccison (sausage) with pickle was great, definitely better than ham.
Espresso is great, very strong and smooth.
