I just starting riding here and I will continue for a long time!…read more First of all I can NOT believe anyone ever let me on a horse. At liberty all riders learn english saddle which is kick ass, if you learn this you just might be able to go bare back. I just finished five sessions for only $145 and already signed up for another month heres why: 1. Great horses and plenty to choose from 2. Excellent teacher 3. Flexibe riding time 4. Options to lease or buy More on number two, this teacher is great. She is very patient and says nice things like "riding tall on Mercy (my horse)" not, "sit up straight Doreen!" Very nice.

Cons: A bit pricy compared to other local barns. An upcoming policy change will require all riders who want to jump to board a horse, which is way out of our financial capability. Upcoming policy change will require all riders to sign a 6 month-1 year contract. Instruction was not fitting for my child. English riding only. Review: I was hesitant to leave a review for these stables but finally decided to do it. My 9 year old has been learning English tack here for several months now and has not progressed hardly at all. Part of that is our fault for staying out of the barn during the terrible bitter cold of last winter, and then also taking a 5 week vacation this past summer. The rest of it, well, I don't know. It could be she is a bit hesitant to ride without reigns (which I understand why it's necessary to teach this) and i also think it's due to her instructors being not consistent. It's one of 3, but all 3 are so different and it was hard for her to adjust to their personalities and teaching tactics. My daughter also didn't love the teaching style of one of the instructors in particular, which actually caused her to love the barn less. I am sad we had to remove her from this barn but know it's for the best. We are looking into western riding which my daughter is super excited about. We just weren't a good fit for Liberty Farm.

This is a huge event, physically, taking up most of the fairgrounds for three weeks; and a huge…read moreevent, culturally, one of the largest horse shows in the world. People come from all over to compete. I live right down the road, and am not into horses so never bothered to go. But Baby K is, so we went to check it out. $25 parking per car but free entry, and it looks like you could park on 17th closer to campus, maybe OHS, maybe up off Hudson, etc., and really not walk much farther than you do from the fair lot and just go in. Loads of vendors, with tack, trinkets, trailers, and more. A puppy building, for sale but with owners eager to show them off to kids. Two arenas, with tons of seating, good views and sound. And a strip of fair food. You can watch the shows, go to the practice corrals just outside and see the horses close up, have a roast beef sundae, and get a souvenir. A fun family day for just about anybody, and if you are into horses absolutely come check it out.

There are multiple events and these are world class animals and competitors, it not just some local Ohio farm thing. I came for the PBR Professional Bull Riding event in 2021. We were treated to an Ohio native, Eli Vastbinder - a PRCA ProRodeo competitor- winning the event, and the points he gathered helped carry him into the world finals competition. The All American Quarter Horse Congress show is the Ohio State Fiargrounds and Expo Center like you've never seen it! Well worth a visit.
