I called at least 6-7 tow companies before coming across Best Auto & Truck Salvage. None of the other companies were able to accommodate me any time soon, and it's scary sitting on the side of the road, hoping you don't get side swiped while hundreds of vehicles are zooming by. The staff at Best Auto & Truck Salvage were extremely helpful and worked with me to have someone come pick me and my car up in less than 30 minutes! Law enforcement called them because the vehicle needed to be removed from the roadway. Our home was literally one street over (about 5 minutes away), and we politely asked if the vehicle could be towed there instead. To avoid any confusion, we called the number listed on the card while standing there. The woman who answered told us it was fine. We relayed that to the tow driver, and he start yelling wait until my dispatch call and even the responding officer confirmed there was no issue in our ask. When I recalled the office the lady tried to make it seem like money was an issue. Money was never discussed. Money was never the issue we were fully prepared to pay whatever towing fees were required. The problem was the tow driver. He became rude, dismissive, and argumentative for no reason. He repeatedly interrupted us, said he "didn't have time for this," mentioned needing to get to Lakeland, and ignored what both his office and the officer had already stated. Before we were even given a fair opportunity to decide where we wanted our own vehicle taken, he pulled off and said he was just going to impound the car. We never authorized that decision. This entire situation was caused by the tow driver creating unnecessary conflict and doing what he wanted to do. I called the company afterward and was told the manager would return my call, but I never received one. Accidents are stressful enough. The lack of professionalism, communication, and basic respect was unacceptable. I would not recommend this company based on our experience.

There were several people waiting in line when we walked in, but nobody seemed bothered by the wait. Most folks that visit auto parts stores know the amount of work the staffers have to do. The employees are always answering phone calls while in the middle of helping someone right in front of them. In addition to helping customers in the store, they have to run outside to assist customers by putting in new car batteries, windshield wipers, running diagnostics and various other outside duties. On many occasions, I feel for these folks, knowing they're multi-tasking to the max! We owe them a lot of praise! From behind the Commerical Desk, Courtney saw the lineup and came to our rescue. LOL She immediately gained control over the situation and made sure everyone was acknowledged and steered to someone for help. My buddy and I stepped over to be helped by Courtney herself. She was really professional and knowledgeable. She quickly found the parts in the system that we were needing, but they weren't in stock. We could get them as early as next day. But, at least, no need for us to get dealer sticker shock! Turns out we were very honest with her, stating we were hoping to get the parts now and be able to complete the repairs asap. She understood and recommended a competitor who just might have the parts in stock. We appreciated that very much! We left, went to the competitor. They didn't have the parts in stock, either. Plus, the cost there was more. So, we went back to Advanced. Courtney was on break, so Robert helped us. We went ahead and ordered the parts, at a fair price and were told barring any delays caused by the in-progress Hurricane Nicole, the parts would be in next day.
