I came in to have my car battery tested, suspected I may need a new car battery. I called ahead and spoke with Paul, he said they do battery testing so I came in. I ended up working with Antonio, he tested my battery and said it was due for replacement. I went ahead and purchased a new car battery here. I was set to do the repair myself in the parking lot, Antonio mentioned that he can do it for me free of charge. So that was actually More than I anticipated. Thank you, Antonio. One thing worth mentioning, In terms of battery selection there was a pretty big jump between the cheapest battery for about $85 and then the next one up was $180. A little more selection in that price gap would be exactly what I'm looking for. All in all, I would highly recommend this place, if my mom was having car trouble, I would send her here. read more

Shocked at how much time and help AutoZone is these days, or maybe just at this location? Manager Jewel is amazing!! So helpful!! Went wayyyy above to help check and fill my car! Jewel is super duper knowledgeable... Knowing lack of oil could explain my car issues coming up the past recent 1-2 years. I've been to probably 2 different mechanics, 2 battery professional and only recently learned this year about my low level of oil being an issue. Forget my mechanics, I should just be coming to Jewel for 1st round advice at AutoZone!! Then head to mechanics for more. Jewel mentioned they know about normal typical problems like mine...which my mechanics didn't event notice or couldn't even figure out. Late 2000s Prius/My car was completely OUT OF OIL!! Jewel was nice enough to fill it up with suggested (2) STP high mileage oil (my car is 75k+ mileage) and a half Lucas engine oil stop leak solution too. And left 1 STP oil, and half Lucas oil for 2days later to investigate more on its level (and for safety to fill up at my rate of random unseen leakage). It seems like a lot of the reviews are on online orders, or some customer service? I'd imagine like attitude? It's an auto part shop, not a retail clothing shop. Or maybe some rude staff who got let go? It's like working with contractors....don't expect a smile, but expect direct technical and industry questions. AutoZone in South Summerlin (Store number 5917) located at Fort Apache Road and Sahara Avenue has the worst customer service. The manager's name is Jerrod M. and the assistant manager Lopez refused to help my husband who is a disabled retired Veteran to re-connect the battery cables from a defected battery we bought from the other Auto zone store 8 months ago. They want us to go the other AutoZone store where we bought far on the east side of Las Vegas. Before leaving the store in South Summerlin, we called the store located on Lake Mead Store no 3740 manager named Mr. Mariano that told us it's ok to replace it while it's still under the warranty but the Autozone store manager (Jerrod M.) still refused to exchange the defective battery. Today, 25 February 2025, I asked the assistant manager Lopez to help me reconnect the new battery I got from the other store but he said it's not their job to disconnect or re-connect. This is our first time dealing with lazy managers from AutoZone store no. 5917 that were very discourteous, very rude and disrespectful to a disabled veteran. The other stores have much better service . I will tell all our veteran friends not to go never to AutoZone store at Fort Apache & Sahara Avenue. This autozone has a scammer or a fraud stealing peoples online orders and putting it as picked up when it was never picked up. Asked the night manager to scan barcode from the pick up email and he said that "that's not how it work" when I've been to this auto zone plenty times in the day time and have picked up my order with the barcode and ID. He then said that the order "never was picked" or sent to the store. Long story short he kept putting in my phone number and the order didn't come up but comes up on my auto zone account and email too he then refused to scan the barcode and also kept saying I was at wrong location when it clearly said 3455 S Decatur Blvd ready for pick up. I went in there needing oil for my car but I didn't know which oil to get. I also had some questions about a part I needed. I was already running late for work and was hoping to get help quickly but people seemed to just sit around doing nothing or having side conversations or just ignore you completely. I asked two people there for help and they ignored me. One kid with glasses was just so rude! Just sitting on a cart with his headphones and couldnt be bothered with a quick question. The other one was just eating in between the aisles but he said he couldnt help because he was about to get off. Told me to wait in line. I couldnt believe it! I cant believe this is the customer service your company offers. A lady finally came in and asked if I needed help but after waiting 30 minutes I was so frustrated I just said screw it. A 24 hour auto parts store? Why not? It is Vegas where people from all over drive here when flying is not so economical. Them being open all the time and the location they are in are both prime reasons to come here for any car needs. This last visit, I needed brake pads for my 2005 Toyota Corolla. Not only did they have the parts but there were 3 different kinds! The first set was 20 bucks, the second was 35, and the third was 55. Why the difference in price? One word: Materials. The first one was cheap because it was metallic, which means that it doesn't last long. The second one was semi-metallic which means that it will last longer. The third one was ceramic which means it lasts a long time and it gives you the best performance out of all three. I went with the middle one because all you really need is something decent and its not like a race every time the stoplight turns green. Keep in mind that all of this being presented to me by the guys behind the counter. So great customer service. Since these guys are 24 hours I can think of some ways that can be good and/or bad. The Good. If your car breaks down or is in need of something vital like windshield wipers at 2:30 in the morning, come here and you are good to go. This place is located off of Spring Mountain and Decatur so you are surrounded by lots good eats and most of them are open late with some even open 24/7 as well. The Bad. After reading a couple of lowly rated reviews, I see a common theme. Bad customer service especially into the swing/graveyard hours. Im assuming the ones that work during those shifts are people that don't know too much about cars? Have you ever heard of that one song, "The Freaks Come Out At Night?" Well that is partially true because I have been here before at 2 in the morning needing a bulb for one of my brake lights being burnt out. I kid you not, there be some weird characters that walk around the parking lot and sometimes make their way into the store. So there you have it. To me, these guys being open 24/7 is more positive then negative because you never know when your car is going to need something replaced most especially if you just happen to be in Chinatown at 2 in the morning. Excellent service, have literally nothing to say negative! I needed a key copied for a friends car, that had a "transponder" chip in it. I ended up driving over to this location after being referred from the East Sahara location. Easily accessible from the road, big sign easy to spot to see it coming up, plenty of parking. Went inside, it's a larger auto parts store than many I've been in, & also pretty clean for one as well. There were lots of people yet after staring at the key corner blankly confused, then heading to stand in line, I wasn't waiting maybe more than a minute or 2 before I was helped. ( also- the guy in front of me asked about borrowing a pair of pliers*again* I might add & the employee didnt blink before rummaging to try to find a spare pair, came up empty so he proceeded to go grab a pair off the shelf to loan him. I thought this was very cool) When I told the guy what I needed, he looked slightly perplexed. Turns out not for any lack of knowledge or capability but due to the fact that he didnt share the opinion it was the type of key I needed. He insisted that it was a regular $2.99 key I needed, not the much more expensive transponder version (locksmith quoted upwards to $100!!) he was very certain even without the car there it would work. He was right!!!! I saved a bunch of money as he coulda made the regular one and told me it was more! I wouldnt have known!! Anyhow, I'm grateful for the knowledge & great service(as well as the $3 key!!) I recieved at this location.
