Also for some reason they always leave my tire valve stem caps off and I need to check all my tires before I leave. I would recommend them for new tires if you are on a budget. I decided to try using them for an oil change and coolant flush because these are simple automotive procedures. The coolant flush was done without any issues. I am taking the time to write this because I purchased the full synthetic oil change for my older vehicle because I am disabled and it is difficult for me to get out and complete these tasks. I was told this should last 5,0000 miles. I picked up my car and noticed that the sticker was printed out saying to have the oil changed again in 3,000 miles or 3 months. I asked what oil change I paid for and I was told the full synthetic. I asked why it said I needed to come back in 3,0000 miles. I was told 4 different stories by 4 different people. One person said the machine was broken so they had to print out all the stickers for 3,000 miles, the second person said Walmart suggests that full synthetic oil changes get done every 3,000 miles, the third person said that I could ignore the sticker and come back when I wanted within the 5,000 miles, the service desk person said these were not true (letting me believe someone didn't want to take the time to print the sticker correctly). I am an older person and it is difficult to remember all the car maintenance dates so I told them I rely on the sticker to ensure that I complete the oil changes on time. They gave me a hand written sticker (with the wrong date again) and I left. I can honestly say that I am not 100% sure what kind of oil change I actually received. I am not saying that they lied to me but I am saying that there procedures are confusing and it could cause customers to not get the full value for their purchase. These communication issues seem small but made me feel lack of trust for having my car maintenance completed here.

The last 3 years or so- their customer service has completely evaporated. No greeting- even after offering my own. The people working here don't speak fluent English and therefore, cannot communicate with me about parts or tools. It's super frustrating on top of their absolute disregard for engaging customers. I frequently am questioned about parts/tools that I am asking for. One employee in particular who's worked there for well over 2 years has argued with me about the parts I need, even after I give him a part number. The attitude is as if he knows what I need more than I do, (which would be great if it was true), but even after specifying my part- still insists that it's the wrong part. I asked for a part designated for a 2015 GMC just for the guy working to tell me that the part number was "similar" to a 2009 Chrysler part. Two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT part numbers- and he still says I'm wrong about what I need. I don't think I will be purchasing from this store anymore which is highly disappointing given the convenience of their location. However, I can't take the rudeness and incompetence any longer. This place needs a completely new staff who can tell the difference between a tire and a windshield wiper. Autozone- look into the staff of this store. They're hurting your brand.

If you've got the means go for it, but if you're like me that's not really an option most of the time. I hate Autozone, I'll just say that...there's a good reason too..service. They never have enough people to take care of the mass of humanity that swamps them. That and their prices are higher than average. But O'Reilly's, they're great. They've seemed to sacrifice the dollar for service/parts availability. This loaction and the other Garland store always have more people working that is seems are needed. The people that aren't working the counter are keeping the store stocked...fronted, and are helping customers on the floor. That's nice, because most people have no clue what oil filter/Air filter...etc they need or should buy. My car had it's engine replaced before I bought it, so it could've been any number of 4 or 5 different configurations, making my serpentine belt vastly different. Since I needed to drive the car, and couldn't see the number on the worn out belt, I had to guess..well I guessed wrong!! They exchanged the belt no problem and got me out in minutes. I should say also that on another visit the guy came out to my car(in a torrential downpour!!) to read the codes off my computer to tell me what was wrong with my engine. That goes a long way in my book to bringing customers in and keeping them. The Autozone across the street blew me off and told me to wait until the rain stopped...it rained ALL DAY!!! I keep going back to O'Reilly for the service. Their prices might not always be the cheapest, but that's OK. It's not all about the money in my book.
