I called before showing up to make sure they had my air filter in stock. They did, I showed up and they triple checked. I let them know I didn't have time to come back due to my trip tomorrow. One staff member Prasanna went out of his way to ensure I bought the correct one. Prasanna was super helpful and even taught me how to remove and replace my air filter. Very helpful. At times it can be intimidating to go in such stores asking for help in fear of being taken advantage of. I'm glad that wasn't my experience here. In the past I've had great experiences here, swapping batteries, getting help with windshield wipers, the stuff that people at auto zone are supposed to do. Today after watching a how to youtube video in the 100 degree weather and getting stuck I had to call a family member to help me swap out a battery because the workers would not help or show me how to do anything even after I asked and then did not give me the right tools when they told me to do it on my own. After when I was explaining to a manager how my experience was so much worse than any other time I'd been there it seemed like he was annoyed to have to listen to me and happy I was leaving his parking lot. I work in customer service too, I'm aware of a difficult customer. I was not being that, I was just asking for auto help from auto zone. Usually these things don't bother me enough to leave a review but truly it was just embarrassing to have to call someone else to do the job that auto zone has done for me almost half a dozen times in the past and THEN when the person who was "helping" me heard I was complaining he gave me a rude look and a sarcastic thumbs up. My bad for not being a pretty young girl for a room full of bros to jump over but sometimes other people need car help too. read more

I will never be back to this AutoZone! I went here to get a code read and some engine oil in 105 degree heat "WHILE PREGNANT" because I didn't have any other choice! While I was getting helped at the register I began to feel my body overheating and let the cashier know that I needed to sit down immediately because I felt myself passing out. He stood in front of me looking stupid and did absolutely nothing except tell me there was a water fountain near by as though I would be able to reach it as my body was giving out on me! I had to sit on the shop floor until I could regain consciousness fully and he walked over and gave me my change (no water no help nothing but my change) as other customers walked in staring at me as tho I was on drugs or something NO ONE HELPED AT ALL! And you can clearly tell I Am pregnant! And it was way to hot for me! I gathered myself and my things and left immediately afterwards!!! I use to come here pretty often for my car's maintenance supplies but I can promise you I will never ever return! They could have called 911 or something they did absolutely nothing but stare! read more

One foggy morning, I realized that I needed a new battery quickly. Where to go? AUTOZONE! This place is wonderful. Not only do they have the supplies you need, but they are a full service joint as well. Some of the things they sell are pricy. However, the service is so great, that I am kicking myself in the head right now since I really wanted to give a shout-out to the wonderful woman who helped me install my battery. Alas, I did forget, but one thing I know was that she was in the running to get her own store. I hope she gets it, because she was excellent. read more

My battery went dead in the heat. They helped me with this quickly which is the two star but insisted I needed an alternator or my car would go dead immediately. I questioned this and called Toyota to see if they could check my car. They said to ignore them, it was a scam. It was, nearly a year later now, car is fine. These guys are so helpful to a little old lady. They come out to the parking lot and put my license plate on for me. Another time they changed the headlight bulb for me. Also, I just moved to Tucson and one of the first things I need to line up is an auto repair shop. They made some recommendations for me. I'm no automotive expert so can't judge their knowledge, but they can look things up on their computers with information/articles about any make/model. I've never had to wait long for service and the location is very convenient for me. read more

Waited in line for 20 minutes to buy some tape. The cashier was having problems ringing customers up, obviously new, he asked several times for managements help. The manager ignored him and helped other guests behind me. Very unprofessional. All the manager had to do was help out his cashier and everyone would have got their items faster. read more

This place is horrible! They towed my SUV after I went in and asked them if I could leave it with them until I could get a tire. They said it would be fine and never said anything about it being towed if left here for more than a day. They towed it and it had not even been 3 full days! I just got enough money to get a used tire and now it's gone! They said they did the right thing and got it towed as if they let it sit they would get fined for it! Which I know is bull shit! Had I known they were going to tow it I would have put it on the street and I know they mark the vehicle to take it after 1 week or more but I know the police give you more time than three days! The tow company wants $250 to get it back and I have $40 to get a used tire only it's $25 per day after that they said Autozone claimed it had been here for over 3 weeks which is a lie. I don't have that much of an income as it is. I just got out of the hospital with MRSA and am having to stand in their shop with this illness and I know I am likely going to give this to their employees which is not showing much care for their employees to make me wait here getting them sick. I need my meds and can't get them without my vehicle. The manager just gives me a dirty look as he walks past me like his shit don't stink. I am never going to an autozone again the whole idea of an autozone is to help people who can't afford a mechanic and prefer to do their own maintanence or mechanical repairs so to tow someone who is not able to get a tire right away or afford a tow is horrible. This must be why O'Reilly is popping up with more stores. I am getting worse with all this stress on me and having to stand in their store getting customers and employees sick. I parked here instead of the street because I felt it would be a safer situation to have it parked than to have it on the street but now I know better than to leave it on private property if I get it back which looks doubtful at this point. I called regional but they are yet to get back to me and the used tire shops will be closed soon. read more

I'm a gearhead who lives in the area. I only shop here alot out of convenience but even that has just changed. I went and bought several oil filter wrenches, including an adjustable one that was clearly an open box item (which I did not get a discount for). Whatever. The new ones were not boxed items, but were new and remained as such. I used the open box adjustable guy and went to return the rest. Employee did a super close inspection and determines I cannot return 1 out of the 3 (WTF). He even opened and smelled the bottle of polish I was returning, and flipped through each sheet of sandpaper that were clearly in an intact in bundles of factory packaging. He was clearly prejudiced from the beginning of the transaction, and obviously found "flaws" on the non boxed item because its NOT FREAKING BOXED! I was told that he was "the professional" when it came to determining whether a tool had been used or not and that his word is gold. When I asked about a manager he simply pointed to his badge "that's me too", grinning while in tune with a stupid conversation his coworkers were having. I'll be Amazon Priming my auto parts and supplies from now on, or heading down Park to Oreilly when I'm in a pinch because I don't have to put up with the deity types. Lines are usually long and they seem understaffed most of the time I've been in. I work in service too, and this is not how you treat a (now former) repeat customer. read more

I went to a Pep Boys location because I thought that the starter on my car had died and the website said they did starter analyses for free. I'm no expert on cars by any means, but something is seriously wrong when they want to charge almost 20 bucks for a "free " service. I took my car to Autozone instead and they did some tests and diagnosed my problem in less than 15 minutes. I found out it wasn't my starter at all but rather my battery and alternator. These guys are great! I will never go back to Pep Boys ever again. read more

The place opens at 7:00 AM, and they well not open the doors a minute too soon..the service was satisfactory. Check out was quick. Store was clean and organized. Parking was pretty accessible to get in and out. Would shop here again. read more
