My vehicle was perfectly fine when I arrived for my appointment at 9am. Joe disrespected me as a woman, I was told I was lucky it decided to break down and refuse to start, suddenly, 5 feet in front of his bay door, He refused to give the battery a full charge or replace it as I requested. He immediately blamed the starter. He pulled every slimy trick a mechanic could. My vehicle was trapped there and I was told to call an Uber and leave. I LM at 1:30, he instead called my husband back at the very end of business day at 4:55 with "diagnoses" and quote for repair and was upset when phone was handed to me & I spoke to him even though it is my car and I am dealing with it. The very end of next day was my when my car was released to me, over 400 bucks later. He refused to hand over the starter, All this right before July 4th weekend when no one was available to look at it and confirm this supposed repair was needed. I have a new mechanic looking at it next week after he gets off vacation because now I have no idea what he did to it as it was perfectly fine when we pulled in other than those couple of cosmetic repairs I needed a quote on. Avoid this place, He preys on older people and that is why I suspect he gets all these great reviews because that is all I saw in his waiting room. I am so angry and upset I was taken advantage of. Yes I am old.

New to town, and I needed to get my SUV fixed up. I never expected to find a place like this. All the work was explained, asked, and confirmed if I wished it done, and not overly priced or incompetently done. I was satisfied with every single aspect of my visit and have been coming back for everything that I need to do with the vehicle. Who knew you could find an old-fashioned mechanic, with values, in today's time? I highly recommend Winter's over all others in the area.

If you want to wait longer then the estimated time only to find out your vehicle wasn't repaired properly after you paid the bill then this is the place for you. Oh and a nice touch is being yelled at by the owner because they couldn't do the job (they said the part I had was wrong), but the mechanic down the street had no problem installing the same part. I suppose he was upset because I bought the $150 part online vs the $700 for the same part he was trying to sell me. The other item that needed repair that was supposedly fixed (and I paid for it) and just a few weeks later I had the truck back into another shop to fix the "repair" this guy had made. The mechanic there explained what the butcher at Long's did wrong.

They've done what I call a "patch job" charging you full price. If you want it repaired the RIGHT way, GO SOMEPLACE ELSE! I now have taken it to someplace else, which found the problem with "their fix" and expect to pay the SAME to have it repaired the correct way, the only way it should have been done in the first place. No wonder why no one else has reviewed this establishment. It shouldn't be in business.

I asked him if they could check my brakes also to make sure they aren't worn out. When the guy started to ring me up he said my brakes were fine and at 50% so no need to replace. He said my brake fluid needed to be replaced because it's very dark. After waiting two hours for the oil change to get done, I just wanted to get out of there so I told him I'll be back another day. I just figured it somehow got contaminated when I go off-roading and drive through giant mud puddles.... other than that, everything was fine. I don't recall the guys name but he had either blonde or reddish hair. I went back about a month a a half later. A new guy with dark hair a scruffy looking was at the counter. I told him I was told by another employee there my fluid needed to be replaced. Even though I had an appointment I had to wait 3 hours before they finally pulled it into the garage. The guy came out after talking to the tech and he told me all of my brake pads were worn out and my brake rotors were ruined. All of my brakes were shot. He said everything had to be replaced. I said that was interesting because the previous guy told me the pads were at 50% and I have barely driven 500 miles since the oil change. He went back and talked to the tech. The tech insisted my brakes were shot / rotors were shot, and if he replaced my brake fluid it would leak out so he reused to do that job. I told this new guy I felt like he was trying to, to put it politely, rip me off. Brake pads don't wear down that fast. I told him to just give me my keys back and I'll go to my regular mechanic to check my brakes. I dropped my Jeep off there the next day. My mechanic told me my brakes were at 50% and my rotors look like they are still new. This cost me $120. So, thanks to Pep Boys Cinnaminson's shady robbing customers business policy I'm out over $100 and wasted an entire morning sitting in their horrible waiting area for a job that should have taken 10 -15 minutes to complete... 10am to 1pm.... even with an appointment. Pep Boy's used to have a decent reputation. When this happens it's not helping them any. All I can say is avoid this place. Don't let them near your car. They can't be trusted.
