He has an intimate knowledge of all things along the Amalfi Coast. His excellent recommendations both during and after our tour(as well as his friends recommendations along the way)were off the beaten path or a quiet haven within a bustling village. The tour was never rushed. He had stops he thought we would enjoy from our conversation and adjusted the tour for impromptu stops if we had questions about certain things. Problem: How to do more than stop in a city and check a box? This is where Amalfi Coast Destination came in. He's from the Amalfi Coast and knows just about everyone. We even ran into his father in Ravello. He gives you access to a lot of places that the tour buses won't stop at. And completely customized to your needs--we wanted to throw Pompeii into the mix and were able to do so without being rushed. The highlights: *Touristy stuff: A boat ride through a grotto, and a little miniature of a town *Shopping in Amalfi *Breathtaking views and photo stops the whole way--including a posh hotel not open to random tourists *Wandering the square of Ravello *The most amazing meal ever: balcony view down the gorge to the Med at Ristorante San Giovanni, a rustic hand crafted meal. This service could be 5+ stars but they lose it in the details. I'll give it four because I loved the view and overall it was a fun experience. Now, onto the details that could be improved. Our boat captain seemed pretty disinterested most of the time, occasionally pointing out sights but we had to ask him for information most of the time. He spent a lot of time on his phone, occasionally driving too fast over the waves, we actually got completely soaked at one point. We also never got the advertised and promised homemade limoncello, which was kind of disappointing. Despite missing out on the finer details, it was a beautiful ride around Capri.

Our archeologist tour guide Lello educated us with everything we needed to know, so when the tour was done, my partner and I could navigate around the ruins with ease and soak in the must see spots we couldn't get to in the tour, with the knowledge Lello gifted us, that really helped with appreciating what we were looking at and where we we standing. (Side Note: think synonymously: As "the most interesting man in the world" is to Dos Equis, Marco would be the brand/face for Italy"s Peroni or Moretti!) When beaches and shopping seem to be just scratching the surface of the amazing Positano and you want more or something different... call Marco Predieri. He was a wonderful, knowledgable tour guide! He knows the Amalfi Coast inside and out! He speaks perfect English and he is a walking history book. He will take the time to understand your needs and help you custom plan your itinerary. We had the great surprise of engaging in a few tours he offered that were literally off the charts. We went on amazing hikes seeing ancient waterfalls thru acres of pristine lemon groves. We took a cooking class in the kitchen of a gorgeous restaurant-side by side with the master chef. We went on a private boat tour along the Amalfi Coast with detours to cave dive and eat in a hidden gem of a fishing town. My only regret was there was not enough time to see and do all the wonderful tours he recommended. Marco makes you feel like a friend who has come to visit Italy for the first time and he wants to show you what you may not otherwise get to see. Thank to them we visited incredible places, like the amazing village of Positano,with its narrow streets and a lot of typical shops, then Amalfi with its medieval architecture and where we had lovely, authentic Italian lunch, and at the end Ravello that has the most beautiful view imaginable. Located at the top of the Dragone Valley, enclosed with endless numbers of amazing views., with its famous architectures : Villa Rufolo and villa Cimbrione.
