You can rent a manual transmission car, if you're interested. You also get what you pay for, so don't expect anything fancy or top of the line. If you need to extend your days, you have to do it in person. I rented for about a month. It was easy, aside from the vacuuming and washing, which I'm not used to doing with rental cars. If you're on base, I suggest Sixt or Hertz, for convenience.

Recommend! I bought my car here after I re-located to Germany. The biggest issue I had was the…read morelanguage barrier - I was lucky that Daniel spoke great English and was able to help me through everything. I did my test drive and so then we sat down to design my car. If you're new to Germany, be warned that you don't typically drive off the lot same day - if you're getting a new car you will typically need to spec out and design your car. So we did the design and negotiated the price and my order was in. I then needed help being walked through the intimidating (but I'm the end not too complicated) process of getting insurance, registering my car and then going to the factory to pick up my vehicle! My car was delayed because of COVID, which was a bummer but it was nice that I was able to get it before the country shut down! Since getting the car, Daniel has been really responsive in answering any questions I had. The only minor concern I had is that none of the paperwork was in English, so I constantly had to use a translating app or Daniel so I knew what I was signing. Still, I might just be an Audi owner for life now!
