Jesse put in an alarm system and fixed up the steering on my 1981 280ZX Datsun. Even to be able to work on this car is amazing; it's a rare mechanic that has the knowledge and experience for this. I feel so lucky that I have the service of AutoCraft for my car that I love so much. Knowledgeable mechanic with an abundance of integrity. read more

Very professional and courteous. They explained the issue, did the research on the commonality of my particular issue, accidentally misquoted the labor and when they realized their mistake, immediately corrected it to my benefit. I wouldn't have known otherwise, so their integrity was spotless. I'll be returning for my next issue. read more

I was driving to a trailhead and needed an immediate repair. Autocraft was a short distance away and I called the shop on the top of the trail. I was able to get in quickly and Jesse diagnosed the problem by that evening. I had a great experience at Autocraft and will be using them for future repairs. read more

Jesse and team are the best mechanics to be found in the NW. My family and friends have been going to AutoCraft for many years and they continue to be honest, reliable, trustworthy, and are fair on their pricing. If you have an issue with your vehicle, you're always going to be pleased after going to AutoCraft. 110% recommended. read more

my van was stalling out and, with stalling, it can be very hard to diagnose due to it being any one of three things... air, fuel, or spark. Jesse took time helping me diagnose my issue and quickly got me back on the road. 10/10 in customer service, great prices, and is probably the best mechanic shop around!! I'd take my rig back to him all day every day! thanks guys!! read more

I brought my car in yesterday just a bit before they closed and they had it done and ready to go today. Everyone I talked to was very friendly and helpful. 11/10 these guys are awesome. read more

I cannot express enough how much I love the people here at auto craft! The person that owns the shop Jesse, he is such a great source of knowledge when it comes to cars. I unfortunately had to contact him because my oldest Zion was going through some issues. However Jesse (the owner) was there to help me through it all. The people here at Autocraft NW truly make you feel like you are family to them. They try to give you all the best options and they help you decide on what solution is best for you. Not once did I feel uncomfortable with them. They truly made me feel like I was part of the family. They also took a look at my car and helped me make a decision that was best fit for me. They were also so accommodating and so understanding when it came to all of my questions. Since I don't know much about cars will truly help me understand everything that I needed to know to make the best decision. I would highly highly recommend Jesse and his crew if I were to ever have any car needs. read more

Love this place!! My check engine light came on so I pulled in here and they were so helpful!!! They had a full schedule, but still took the time to ensure my car was safe to drive, did what they could and reassured me and they were great!! Highly recommend! read more

Autocraft NW is far and away the best game in town. I live in NW and like to keep my money in the neighborhood, but I would drive to Tigard for this kind of shop. A more than friendly staff, highly skilled mechanics, and an ethical approach to auto repair keeps me coming back every time I'm in need. What's more, they have a large enough space in front of the shop for a tow truck to easily and safely maneuver in and drop your vehicle in a parking stall. If you want to feel confident about where you have your vehicle repaired and/or serviced and you want to keep your money in the neighborhood, you'll find no better place to do so. These guys live in NW, work in NW, and are a shining example of what keeps the neighborhood strong. read more

Jesse is awesome, honest and fair. He was very good at explaining to me exactly what was wrong with my car and how he thought best to fix it. He took extra care to make sure he was sending me away with my car in the best condition that he could and let me know everything else that he found that I should consider giving attention to. I would definitely go back to him. read more

These guys are the best. They helped me out with a huge emergency and even stayed past their typical hours to help.

Is it possible to clone Jesse?! The world truly needs more people like him!!!! He is extremely genuine and meticulous - most importantly transparent and generous! He and his crew/shop exemplify why Portland truly is a majickal space!!! My BMW wouldn't start!!! & the driver's side was headlights were out- I was terrified what that would cost!!! (I'm a grad student that's had a very long traumatic history of LA-horrid mechanics that do live up their dishonest reputation.. I was extremely nervous when I waited to hear the "estimate" - and I nearly cried when Jesse said "nothing!" - and I was like "what?!?!? - how?! Are you sure?! what about the light?!" He very sweetly explained that it just needed a restart and that the headlight was just a wiring issue - all he had to was tap it?! I wanted to cry - I've never experienced such wonderful service!!! read more

I get everything I need done for my car here, the precision and thoroughness at a fair price is hard to find. Great customer service and I recommend them without hesitation to any one I know with car repair and maintenance needs. read more

I hit a deep puddle and my car started acting funky. Luckily this shop was nearby to assess any damage. They were prompt and very professional! Thanks guys! read more

Best experience I've ever had with a shop. Dave was so awesome. He got me in the next day and I got my car back the day after. Did a thorough job without pushing anything I didn't need, and was so helpful in explaining what was wrong with my car. Pricing is super fair for such amazing quality. Communicative, transparent, knowledgeable... I'm so impressed and so, so grateful to have discovered this place. read more

I never write reviews on yelp but after coming here I I knew I had to!! The team here was so nice, friendly and quick! They helped me right away as a drop in and even came out a few times to give me options and ask what I wanted before proceeding - not common in all car shops. At the end of my visit I also had Dave assess a crack in my break light (not something that needs an immediate fix but wanted to get a price estimate for future). He told me he would order the price for me and check different places to get the best deal. I loved that! I will come back here for whatever my car may need in the future! read more

Very excited to have found a friendly and trustworthy place to bring my car. I was able to bring it in same day as calling and it was in and out quickly. The guys are all so nice and helpful. I will definitely be bringing my car back here! read more

This place is awesome! Shout out to Oil Can Henry/Valvoline for the referral to Autocraft nw! Jesse was great! He ran a quick diagnostic, listened to me make the funny sounds I thought my car was making, and knew just where to start. Appreciated his honesty and the shop dog Clyde may be the sweetest ever. So glad to have found a mechanic here in Portland we can trust. read more

The Autocraft NW folks were the best. My car's belts were squealing I thought I had a bad pulley and needed some serious work done. I mentioned that to Jesse and he said they'd take a look. They called me a few hours later and told me that they just needed to tighten my tensioner and clean the belts. They were honest and fair and I am so thankful I found them. Will definitely use for all future needs! read more

I noticed my car leaking oil and took my Toyota Corolla into Autocraft NW to get it checked out. Jesse was able to get me in the same afternoon and I had my car in and out in a few hours. The entire staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and communicative about what was going on with my car. I feel lucky to have found an affordable and caring auto shop in my area. The service was top notch and the prices were incredibly fair. I will definitely be bringing my cars back for any needed work in the future. read more

Outstanding service and staff. I am brand new to the area and could not have asked for a better experience. Jesse was so kind and extremely fast at fixing up my car all while being professional and staying attentive to detail. I will continue to use this location and recommend to others. read more

First, let me thank Oil Can Henry's down the street for the recommendation. Free assessment of my car's troubles (leaking oil pan); and then a more than fair estimate of the repair. Dave laid out 2 options, and actually suggested the less expensive one to start, and that I monitor the results and take it from there! My car was ready when he said it would be. The staff: Dave is kind and communicative. I didn't catch the name of the gentleman who took payment from me, but we had a fun chat about automobiles, and he has a handsome Dobie named Clyde ( a true Trailblazer fan )! read more

Been going here for years and Jesse is the best. Straightforward, honest, hardworking. Above and beyond service and quality. Jesse takes time to speak with his customers and has a great friendly attitude. read more

I will start by saying I almost always do my own work on my vehicles and that I would bring my vehicles back here any day! My GMC Jimmy started leaking antifreeze everywhere just as I arrived at work. Luckily these guys were nearby, so I was able to drive there before my vehicle overheated. They not only gave me a great price for the repair, it was really quick too, they had it done before they said they would! Then a couple of days later when it started leaking antifreeze everywhere again. I had to have it towed there. Turned out it was a hose. Not only did they fix it on the spot for me, they ordered me a new hose, which I put on myself the next day, and only charged me their price for it. read more

I've been bringing my car to this shop for years. I can't speak highly enough of Jesse and his team. Their work is excellent, they're great to deal with, and I trust them completely. Not a small thing when there are other shops that don't offer such exemplary standards. I'd go out of my way to recommend Autocraft NW to anyone. Just superb. read more

As Good As it gets! I would give Jesse and the guy's 10 Stars for the service I received. Being new to Portland, and after Having a Horrible experience With North Side Towing, I was in a tight spot and these Fine gentleman noticed my wife and I stranded basically in the middle of the road. Hwy 30. After a quick look he told me " I will be right back" about 5 minutes went by and he came running out, he had a belt and said " give me 10 minutes and I will have you back on the road. Not only did not charge us for labor ( as most shops charge tremendous fees) He gave us the belt at cost! this is an Excellent example of a customer service! Thank you again Jesse! read more

They were fantastic!! The service was warm and friendly, and they were honest enough to tell me that my car did not need any major repairs, even though I live in AZ (traveling out of state), so I was really at their mercy! :-) This is the first Yelp review I have submitted (good or bad), and they were THAT GOOD! read more

One of The best experiences I've ever had with car maintenance. My daughter lives in Portland but I'm from Chicago. I was in Portland driving her car I knew she needed front brake pads. This place is beyond honest. I'm a woman and many places might assume I don't know much about cars but I know a lot about cars. The owner was extremely accommodating on no notice and gave me an unbelievably reasonable price with great service and fit me in with my hectic schedule. I have never had this kind of an experience in Chicago. everyone in Portland should go to this mechanic. you are so lucky to have a mechanic this honest and reasonable in your area. I wish there were more stars that I could give for this quick, honest, reasonably priced and extremely professional service!!!!!! read more

Small, family owned shop, with friendly, experienced, and highly competent mechanics. I've had years of great service from Autocraft NW, and recommend them strongly. Also, though Yelp says they're closed all weekend, they are usually amenable to service by appointment on Saturday, and they'll generally let you pick up your car after their official closing time. read more

This place was great! We drove from Denver and our Subaru broke down after we arrived here. We had to get our car fixed that day and this place did a great job and fixed our car when all other places said it would take the whole weekend. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone in Portland! read more

I wouldn't recommend this garage to anyone. My check engine light came on 2.5 years ago and I brought my truck in and they kept charging me for things and the check engine light kept coming on. I had to bring my truck back in 4 or 5 times. They couldn't figure out the issue. It was frustrating. I brought my truck in a second time because I had an issue with my clutch last year and they replaced the slave and master cylinder and i kept having the same issues. The parts they were using kept breaking and I kept having to take it back. In the end after all the money I spent on my truck it is in the same state as it was before I brought it in. I brought my truck to another shop and have to pay AGAIN! for what i already payed them to fix. read more
