My friend and I jumped her vehicle and went to Walmart, then Autozone to buy a battery. We were met by Keith, the store manager. We asked to buy a battery, and he told us he wanted to make sure it was the battery. So he asked us to turn the car off. We requested to just buy one, because we had just spent 30min jumping it. He said he wanted to try. After turning the car off, he said the battery had a low charge, however it was still good. We couldn't get it restarted. We asked if he could help us jump it again. After 15 min, in the cold, in worse shape because we couldn't get it started, he said- "well, I don't know what to tell ya, It sounds like it could be the alternator." We had to leave the vehicle there over night. After bringing a friend, who happens to be a master mechanic, he asked to buy a battery after assessing that it was a 5 yr old battery. He told Keith it was the battery. Once again, Keith argued that he didn't think that was it. Finally he gave in, like it hurt him to sell a battery, and guess what it was... THE BATTERY. We spent almost 45 min at Autozone in 25 degree weather, when he could have just sold us the battery instead of giving his "expertise". What's worse, is HE IS THE MANAGER!! You'd think he have to have some knowledge of a vehicle. He didn't even ask how old the battery was. It killed him to sell us a battery! Not great for business, or personal relations. I hope the owner see's this, maybe put Keith thru a couple basic mechanical classes, or at least a class on customer service. He gave a poor name to Autozone.
Very dissatisfied!!
