I don't know why I was drawn to driving out of my way to this Auto Zone, but I'm so glad I did. I passed up one 5 minutes from my residence just to go to this one in Humble. When arrived and went inside, I just knew I would be there for eons because the line was almost out the door due to maintaing social distancing protocols. The employees, however, were working as fast they could to get people taken care of--and they did it without an attitude despite the pressure of a long line. Much respect for that! When it was my turn to be waited on, I had the pleasure of having the Assistant Manager David wait on me. This guy was so chipper. Positive attitude and really a good listener. I told him I had an issue with my car staying cranked and losing power. Had two jumps that day and as soon as I turned the engine off, the car was dead. He understood my concern and was willing to honor the free replacement of the battery, but suggested a diagnostic to see if it was something else (ie. alternator, the battery). Being that there were lines of people, one may have been pressured to just to resolve to a quick solution like just charge the battery and send me on my way, but David was very thorough and took his time. The Latch on my hood wasn't even cooperating and he helped me jimmy it open to at least get the battery tested. Again, he could have gave up and said, You're on your own lady...get your hood to open first and I'll come back," but he really tried to help me out, and he definetly went above and beyond to help a customer out. Upon further investigation, he declared that the battery terminal was extremely corroded, which had way more corrosion that morning when the first guy came by to jump me off. He stated that he guaranteed that once the terminal was replaced, I shouldn't have anymore trouble. Once the terminal was replaced, I asked if I needed to let the car run to charge the battery like I had to do twice today. Nope. The car should crank with no problem according to David. I was a little skeptical since I had been dealing with car issues since 7 am that day and it was like 3PM at this point, but I became a believer! The car cranked and has not had any problems cracking since I had a $7 terminal put on the vehicle with the assistance and guidance of David. He had a smile on his face when he saw how relieved I was at this fix. I thanked him numerous times for his help and patience. His last words were I just like helping people out. In a season where there are so many people needing help and assistance because of the pandemic and due to the holiday season of giving, we may forget to give back or feel we have given enough, but this experience really touched my heart that we can all give back in some way. It's not always about money. Our time, our effort to share what we know and help someone in need in this way is just as essential. Be a David this holiday season. Super helpful, this was the 3rd auto zone I had visited in the day. The other ones were telling me that they couldn't remove my battery to charge it. Where as this location help removed it, and I ended up just buying a new battery. read more

Store opens at 6am, which is great since it allowed me to get my battery changed before work. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. My battery was changed out quickly despite some difficultly with the less than ideal mounting position in my truck. Price was also quite reasonable for the product and service. read more

This AutoZone was wonderful especially the associate Mike Myers he volunteered to come out and replace my headlight bulbs that I bought I have never been to an AutoZone where they volunteered or even offered to assist in any kind away I give this AutoZone based on their excellent customer service five star is definitely worth it read more

Excellent, fast service. An employee named Chris helped me test and change out a bad battery and he was polite and professional.

Went here for a replacement bulb. 2 guys and a girl were there. The girl was sitting on top of a rolling cart on her phone and said not one word to us. The dude that helped us seemed very bored and made a comment under his breath when we asked how to install the bulb on the light. If you don't want to be helped or treated like a human this is the place for you. read more

I went in to buy new battery. As the guy was replacing my battery it made a short circuit and ac would no longer work. When I spoke with the manager named John he was very rude and didnt even want to listen or try to resolve the problem that they made. read more

I purchase a brake caliper (i brought the old part to avoid the core charge) from Autozone in Spring but it turned out to be the passenger side and I needed the driver's side. When I went back to exchange it they didn't have the driver side at that location but said the Humble store did. They told me I didn't need to return the part or get my core back just go exchange it. So I took the wrong part and receipt to Humble to EXCHANGE it. The salesperson, Ellis Lawrence, seemed abrasive from the moment I told him the situation. I explained we were told to come there by the other Autozone location. He spent a long time angrily listing all the problems with the transaction and why the other Autozone gave me bad advice! Isn't this a chain? Why is he insulting another location?? He kept saying we would have to pay the core charge ($68) even though all I was told to do was EXCHANGE the part. My core was at the Spring location. He called the other store that sent us there and was aggressively arguing in front of us. My advice to this man would be to NEVER treat a customer like that! Take your problem to the back and figure it out, get a manager, call the other store in private, and apologize to the customer or go a little above and beyond to work it out! This was miserable and I wasted my time and gas to drive to Humble store for nothing! We drove back to the Spring Autozone, returned the part. Walked next door to O'Reilly's and bought the correct part for $2 cheaper. I am still disturbed by this incident the next day. It was completely bizarre how this guy had a total meltdown and expressed such aggressive anger at the Spring store clerk and us, the customers, in a professional business setting. Maybe he was having some personal issues, I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, but even that wouldn't be an excuse for what happened! Yuck! read more
