I got charged for an inspection that involved driving the car, lifting it, and checking everywhere for it, I was told. I got charged $70 for "nothing". I drove down the road and eventually pulled into a shop that checked it for free and found the specific issues within 15 minutes. They even gave me a price estimate and were nice about it, too. I cannot comprehend why I got charged this much for "nothing". and I honestly highly doubt anything was done about it. I was also told my vehicle would need to get worse before any flags could catch their attention. Do not let businesses cheat you out of money.

They put it in, seemingly didn't have any issues from there with that car. However, I ended up selling it 3 months later. I buy this new car. It has an issue where sometimes when I start it, it shuts off. I take it to Bama Auto, because they "did such a good job the last time" fast forward a couple days and I get a phone call saying "the gears in my transmission are going bad and I will need a new one" I had the funds at the time so I just did it on a whim, without even taking the car to see anyone else. They replace the transmission, say I HAVE ONE YEAR WARRANTY on the transmission. After I get my transmission replaced, I took it from Tuscaloosa, AL to Jackson, Ohio. 630 miles. The ENTIRE time I was driving it struggled going up hill. If I had my cruise control on my RPMs would shoot up to the 6000s. As soon as I got back from this trip in late September (had only been two weeks since I got the transmission) I let Bama Auto know all the problems I had with it. They put some transmission treatment and said that should do it. Get back in my car and immediately notice it's not any better. So I just drop it for a while because I had a year to take care of it so I wasn't immediately concerned. Well in December my grandfather drove my car and was angry and told me there was something VERY wrong with my transmission if I can't get it to switch gears while its cold. (my car would struggle switching gears between 25 mph and 40 mph). So after I got back from the holidays I gave them my car again. They put the special treatment in it, said nothing was wrong I was just low on transmission fluid. In February, I sent them emails that showed videos of my car exceeding 5,000 RPMs and getting very close to 6000 RPMs. They said to bring it by. Said nothing was wrong with it because it wasn't throwing a code. (Mind you a bad transmission WONT throw a code I've come to find out). Eventually I dropped it again, because I didn't want to worry about it. I still had 7 months to get it taken care of. Well I kept having the problems where my car just WOULD SHUT OFF on me. Took it to them. They charged me $130 to replace a fuel sensor or some crap that again didn't take care of the problem. So I took it to Toyota. They knew within 5 minutes of having my car that my FUEL PUMP was going bad. (Different car but they should've 100% known it was the fuel pump causing this issue). So I was left out the $130 I gave them for whatever crap sensor they put in my car. When I picked it up wires were hanging out by my feet on the driver's side of the car. They said "oh yeah we saw that we don't know what that is" and shoved them back up there. Mind you they hadn't EVER been like that before. (This was before Toyota ever had my car). Fast forward to summer 2019. I drove it the entire summer to and from Alabaster daily and the transmission just kept getting worse. To the point where when I went downhill my car would go into high gear and start GUNNING it down hill as I was breaking. Took my car to Toyota in August and had them run a diagnostic on my transmission (paid $70 just for another mechanic to tell me that YES there's something wrong with my transmission) I send that diagnostic to Bama Auto and they tried telling me it was my ABS, they took my car and ran codes on it. Came back with 8 ABS related codes, now mind you I took my car to AutoZone the DAY AFTER and I wasn't throwing ANY codes. So they were lying to me there. Once I finally got them to believe me that something is wrong with my transmission they finally reply to let me know I DON'T HAVE WARRANTY AFTER ALL. It had a standard 6 month warranty that was up EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE KNOWN FOR A YEAR what problems I was having with it. Bottom line is, they did me EXTREMELY dirty and I don't want this to happen to anyone else. They will never lay a hand on another one of my vehicles and I hope for your sake you don't let them either.
