The very next day, the check engine light and oil light came back on, along with an "Oil Pressure Low" warning. When I returned, I was told a part had come off and was put back on, and I was charged an additional $40 for three quarts of oil, despite having just paid for an oil change. After speaking with the owner, I brought the vehicle back for him to inspect. He stated he found the leak but said it was difficult to see. When I questioned why the original issue wasn't properly diagnosed, I was told the vehicle had multiple leaks and that they had already fixed one. I ultimately took my vehicle to Wolf Creek, where they immediately identified the leak and advised me that attempting to repair it could cost even more. Had I been given that information initially, I could have avoided spending nearly $700. Overall, I am very disappointed with the diagnosis, communication, and customer service. I expected a thorough inspection and an accurate diagnosis, not additional expenses for an issue that was not properly addressed. Now I'm out nearly $700 and without a vehicle.

Had Smith automotive put on shocks. I told them explicitly that I didn't want to put cheap shocks…read moreon. I wanted something at least in the mid range price point. Two years after installation, they have collapsed and I need another set. That's not my worst experience. I had them do the tune up where the serpentine belt, water pump, tensioners were replaced. Not a cheap job. The "Tune Up" lasted around 5000 miles before my wife and I found ourselves stranded on Wendover Ave., Greensboro. This is a very busy road and we were in a dangerous position after the car stopped. The car just died suddenly. The car was towed to a AAA recommended shop. They diagnosed the problem as the serpentine belt having slipped. The most likely cause of the problem was failure to replace the tensioners or put in quality tensioners. Later, into the teardown, the belt was found to be two notches off. We were told that there was a possibility that the belt was put in one notch off originally. This made sense as the car seemed to have more power after the repair. We have since traveled 15k with the new tune up with no problems. This car has am interference engine. We are lucky that the shop's incompetence or, doing jobs on the cheap, did not result in the destruction of the engine!!! AVOID this shop if possible!!!

I use this location from time to time for a quick oil change also. The speed of service depends on how busy they are. Im giving three stars is because someone forgot to put the caps back on my tire stems. It was a gift from my spouse of silver grenades. I called and was told they were not there and they are not responsible for them. So if you need tire work done I recommend taking your own caps off and putting them back on later if they are custom.

The next day, 9/11, Joel calls my wife and attempts to alter the deal for $4500 less than the original price. When my wife refused, Joel became very angry and immediately began yelling trying to bully her into changing her mind and speaking to her inappropriately. Her car is currently at a very respected shop in Charlotte. Joel said he is great friends with the owner and that the owner is sick & tired of dealing with her. He add that the owner also said the engine on her car couldn't be rebuilt and that if there was damage to the supercharger, the parts for it could no longer be sourced. Knowing this was all lies, my wife tried to explain that she already had a shop in CA that could rebuild the supercharger if it needed it, however, Joel didn't want to hear any of it and just continued to talk over my wife and belittle her like she didn't know what she was talking about. After the call ended, my wife immediately calls me (I was out of town) very upset and couldn't understand why he spoke and treated her that way. I called the shop owner in Charlotte and let him know what Joel had said and the owner was appalled and made sure I knew he had no problem with my wife at all and they he would have never said things like that to another person. He would not take the chance of his business reputation being ruined. I then sent Joel a text and expressed that I seriously did not appreciate the way he spoke to my wife. I told him that I'm sure he would not want someone speaking to his wife the way he did mine and that I fully expected him to call her an apologize. I did not care about him backing out on the deal but I most certainly care about the way he disrespected my wife. Joel read my text but did not reply, nor has he apologized to my wife by the time of this review 9/13. For being someone who claims to be a preacher/Christian, this is horrid. Nice example to set. He wants God to show him mercy and forgiveness but he can't even apologize to someone when he's wronged them. I guess he is only religious when it benefits him. He's definitely proven to be a liar, not a man of his word and lacks integrity towards women.

The whole promotion was to help you get out of negative equity. We initially talked about trading my vehicle. We were well aware of the negative equity. After running numbers and everything, we were informed of the negative equity being a problem. When I mentioned the promotion I was blown off as if it didn't exist. The told us they were waiting to hear back from banks and that we should just go home. They told us good news that we already had an approval that they just were waiting for the bank for final numbers. They went on and on about how they will keep us updated throughout the day. We left the dealership around 10:30 am or so. 1:21 pm I texted them for an update. Nothing yet. 3:42 pm I texted again. Got a reply they couldn't help us. This left me confused as we were told before we left that there was an approval. I questioned this. After expressing my disappointment after being misled, I get a message that it wasn't over yet and they were still on the phone with the bank. 6:03 pm I checked back again myself because they never updated us as they promised. Was then told that we probably wouldn't hear anything because it was so late and the banks were closing. Here we are now, 9:45 pm on Thursday, no update. No bad news, no good news. Just ghosted. I've heard of the poor customer service people have received there and have now witnessed first hand. If you want honesty, integrity, and a business that keeps their word, then go elsewhere. If you're willing to take a chance, keep your expectations low.
