Both employees were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. I was repeatedly told that I could not enter without an appointment, despite there being no visible signage indicating that the location was appointment-only. What made the situation even more frustrating was watching them allow another individual to walk in who was more than 30 minutes late for their scheduled appointment. I explained that I simply had a question regarding my license and needed guidance on what I should do next. Instead of attempting to assist me or even directing me to the appropriate resource, I was told that they were "about to close." I arrived before the posted closing time of 5:00 PM. If the office is open until 5:00 PM, I do not believe it is appropriate to turn someone away simply because closing time is approaching--especially when the person is only asking for information. I completely understand that certain DMV services may require appointments. However, there is a professional and respectful way to communicate that to the public. A simple explanation or a few minutes of assistance would have been more than enough. The way I was spoken to and dismissed was unnecessary and unacceptable for employees whose positions involve assisting the public. I hope this concern is addressed so that other customers are treated with greater professionalism and courtesy in the future.

She checked my paperwork handed me a number and sent me in to wait to be seen. I was called 2 minutes later at 11:32, my appointment was for 11:30. I was taken care of by another thoughtful and professional person. I signed the necessary forms, paid my $25 and received my new license and left by 12:05PM. Every person who helped me was terrific. Make an appointment, arrive with a smile, be appreciative and take note of the endless hard work all these people do, and say thank you.

We brought four documents, even though only two were required. We also provided additional documents through text messages, including paperwork from the Department of Children and Families and his contract with the ALF. The man who identified himself as supervisor Rey refused to provide his last name. He was disrespectful and mocked us throughout the process. He kept us there for an hour, repeatedly requesting additional documentation. Every time we provided what he requested, he raised new objections. We even brought water and electricity bills and other documents, yet he continued making everything unnecessarily complicated. This is abusive treatment of a person with an intellectual disability. We will never return to this location, and we have already filed a complaint in Tallahassee. We have completed this same process several times for people with similar disabilities without any problems. This man should be removed from his position. People should never be treated this way. The absolute worst experience--completely disrespectful and unacceptable.

From the start, he was condescending in tone and dismissive of her questions. Instead of providing clear guidance, he gave incorrect and inappropriate information, including a shocking and offensive statement that "American citizens donate 99.9% of the time and Latinos do not 99.9% of the time" when discussing organ donation. This is not only factually false but also discriminatory and unprofessional to say in any workplace, let alone at a government office. On top of that, he erroneously cancelled her appointment during their interaction, which caused further frustration and wasted her time. When he asked if she wanted to register to vote, she said yes, and when she answered what party she wanted, he visibly made a face of disapproval. That kind of behavior has no place at the DMV, where staff should remain neutral and respectful. Throughout the interaction, Gilberto was dismissive, rude, and clearly unwilling to treat my wife with basic courtesy. He acted in a way that was low-vibrational, unprofessional, and cowardly--speaking to her in a way that he would not have dared if I had been present. I said excuse me to the employee to ask my question (she had glasses and brown hair, was working on 2/22 around 2pm), and she was extremely rude. She said I had to sign in. I said I don't know where to sign in, and I only had one question, and based on her answer I don't even know if it would make sense signing in and waiting. She said she didn't have time to answer questions, and that when people ask her one question, it's usually followed by 3 or 5 more questions. Very rude, dismissive and curt. I understand you're busy, but you're in the customer service business. It pays to be kind! Especially as a government employee.

I asked if he was ok and he replied "no, I am not ok. I am insane. " Verbatim. I apologized and was too afraid to ask why my reinstatement on my receipt said traffic school when I had completed that online. I left feeling unsafe and hoped it wasn't a mistake being charged again for the traffic school. Also, I really hope he gets the medical attention he needs to prevent him from treating others in the future less than. As far as the experience at the dmv across the hall, it was the complete opposite. Shirley was informative, courteous, patient and respectful.
