Before their price increase the car wash business model was fantastic. The 5 dollar wash for 15 minutes was great. You did not have to rush to get your car clean. Although you could pay less, after paying the 5 dollar, you felt a value for dollar and in return wanted to return to support this business. Truly don't understand the one-star reviews. This place is cheap, convenient and has good water pressure. The setup is great-- they offer coin machines dispensing dollar coins. You can switch the dial in each bay to rinse settings, foam wash and tire cleaning. Plus there are vacuums around the perimeter where you can dry your car after the wash (bring your own cloths!). read more

Been going here for a decade. What had been the best car wash in the South Bay is now a shit show. Dirty all the time, wheel/tire wash soap hasn't been come out through the scrubber for a long time, and the brushes for the painted surfaces are old and worn. The clientele seems to have changed recently as two of my last three visits nearly resulted in fights with others coming into the stall I was working in. The first guy starting charging at me and challenged me to a fight. This last guy came towards me swearing at me over a misunderstanding. He came up on me from behind as I was wearing my ear buds and was already swearing as he approached my car. I looked up in astonishment as I missed the first part of his rant. So will I be back, probably but I'll washer earlier in the day or during a week day. The place is tired and for some reason the clients lack grace and patience. Just needed to quickly vacuum my poor dirty quarantined car and these guys were OPEN! There are plenty of vacuums on both the pre-wash and post-wash sides. However I could not get the machine to take my money. Sigh. But as persistence pays off, once I bummed some quarters from a friend, I did manage to get plenty pf time on a pretty darn good vacuum to clean out my wee car. I visited here after searching for a self wash in the area and I had a good experience. It only takes $1 dollar coins, so you have to get bills changed. It dispenses $1 coins and in there are Susan B Anthony dollars constantly so I just keep those and maybe good Sacajawea, Lincoln, and Washington $1 coins too.. anyhow this isn't about coin collecting... You get 15 minutes for $5, which is great, you can also put in $3 and $4 for much shorter wash times for a quick soap and rinse. During my visit, each stage from soap spray, wheel/tire cleaner, soap brush, rinse, wax spray, and spotless rinse all were working well and fully stocked and doing the job. I know that these things can run low at times and sometimes may not have any soap or wax remaining at all and that wasn't the case today. Plus it's a SELF CAR WASH for $3 at most, sometimes I just soap and rinse my car off, and depend on the spotless rinse without drying my car off. The spotless rinse works great when it's doing its job. They also claim to be open 24/7. read more

Great spot to wash your car. I was there 2 weeks ago and all of the stalls were in working order... which is not something that can be said about these types of car washes. What separates this one from others is they include a wheel cleaning brush and soap in addition to the standard pressure washer, soap, wax, spot free rinse. Only downside is that it can get crowded but I never have to wait more than a couple minutes read more

Turns out this place is not 24/7. I get ripped off here every now and then through the years by the change machine returning 4 dollar coins for $5. Sometimes the actual wash machine doesn't register the 5th coin for the 15 minutes. Tonight, it actually took my entire $5 and did nothing. This is better than getting my car cleaned at Costco. For $5 you can get 15 minutes of uninterrupted Karate Kid-like car washing (wax on, wax off). The bays are long and wide and well kept. They have staff that regularly clean the bays and tidy the surrounding area. There are self serve currency changers and auto washing accessories dispensers located on the south side of wash bays. The facility is well lit and they have security cameras installed in each of the bays. The instructions for using the power wash wand are self explanatory and there are several wash cycle settings from soap brush, was and post wash rinse. I can't vouch for the quality of the coin operated vacuum cleaners as I have yet to use them. The only difficulty that I could note is access and egress into the facility. It's off a side street and with traffic zooming on Aviation, it's sometimes a bit tricky to enter and exit. Despite this slight distraction, they still deserve 5 stars. read more

I come here to wash my cars and the only complaints I have are: 1. Sometimes they are out of the tire cleaner, but you don't find out till you e already paid... 2. I could be wrong on this ( I hope I am) usually the wax comes out as a white mist, one time is came out red and looked just like the tire and wheel cleaner fluid. I thought maybe they just changed brands, but next week it was back to white again. So most likely i dowsed my car in tire and wheel cleaner. read more

I've been coming here for well over 10 years and until now have had no complaints. Today as I was washing my truck a part of the roof fell into the hood and scratched the paint. Luckily it didn't dent the hood. I looked at the other bays and the roof on most of the building is rotted and starting to fall apart. Be careful when choosing a wash bay! read more

Just got back from washing my car- first time at this do-it-yourself wash. The Good: $2.50 for 5 minutes $4.00 for 8 minutes or $5.00 for 15 minutes! Epic. Dollar bills and cards accepted. Note: when using cards the minimum amount is $5.00. The car wash has the usual settings (high water pressure, soap, tire wash, wax, everything you'll see at every other do it yourself wash- including an area to dry and misc. wash clothes and towels for sale. Another plus, it seems people generously leave their used wash clothes behind. Not that I would use this to detail my car, but I took it as a freebie to get the rest of the brake dust off my beautiful 16" wheels. The Okay: So I initially paid $4.00 for 8 minutes, when I had 30 seconds left, I inserted another dollar bill (not coin)- the machine accepted it but didn't give me more time. I don't think it's suppose to do that so it was a bit of a head scratcher for me. Oh well, life's not perfect and it's only a buck. Self Service - token operated. Seems like the vacuums are short on time, but the car wash makes up for it. $5 for 11 minutes is not bad at all...when it works. I just got back from Auto Spa Self Service Car Wash, it was my first time at a self service car wash so i didnt complete my wash quickly. My car does look clean, the soaps and wax they use is pretty decent. 5 dollars gets you something like 11 minutes which is nice however, I dont think ill be coming back. I went while it was dark and there was NO lighting by the vacuums. There were lights in the car wash bay, however you cant dry your car in there. Drying your car in the dark is like trying to pee in the dark, you just pray that things are dry at the end. Here is my reasoning behind my 3 star review. The 5 minute express car wash on sepulveda costs 6.00 and drys your car for you...and on top of that they have FREE vacuums. Just seems like a better deal with less work greater convenience and equal $$$. read more

Really good spot if you want to do your own hand-wash. The change machines dispense dollar coins. Fifteen minutes for 5 bucks was a great deal! I felt I could really get into scrubbing every little speck of bird dookie off my car and have plenty of time for wax and spot-free. The brushes and hoses are fairly well maintained and I've only once run into a broken hose the many times I've gone there. This car wash is great when you live in an apartment or a place where it is impossible to wash your car. I come here, because I like detailing my vehicle. Just make sure you bring a bucket with high quality was mitt. Don't ever use the brush on paint as it creates very bad scratches. I usually bring a 5 gallon of hot water with me in a bucket sealed with gamma lid. Just add car wash solution, and you are ready to wash. And don't be cheap attempting to rush by washing your car for $5. I spend approximately $20-30 each wash. I always try to wash in the evening as there aren't so many people. However, there are few things at this car wash, which are missing. No pre-soak settings on system, no large stainless steel clips to hold your floor mats, no compressed air to blow water away from crevices, and hard to reach areas. These few things would definitely make this car wash even more desirable. Unfortunately whoever owns this place, never responds to emails. I already sent two, but never received a reply. At least the stainless clips please! That would feel like Christmas. read more

I've been coming to this place for years, and not because it's great, just because it's close to my house and it's one of the only self car washes close by. It's expensive, especially when compared to other car washes that have free Vacuums at the end. I don't think I've been here single time where it didn't eat some of my money, but the only way to get your money back is to write a full, lengthy and detailed memorandum and then mail it in to get your money back. It's seriously not worth the cost of the time or the stamp. It also isn't very well maintenanced. Every time I'm here, sometimes first thing in the morning, there is mud or giant clumps of dirt on the bay floors. I'm sure people bring out their muddy trucks after a weekend on the lake or something, but it seems logical for an employee to hose this stuff down, but that doesn't ever seem to happen either. Overall, not a good fan, wouldn't recommend it for anyone who really likes their cars. The tire cleaner doesn't work, nor does the spot-free rinse, and the brushes are so used that the bristles just bend when they touch anything. read more
