Only hicup I had was they left some water spots and dirt on the front of my car which I didn't accept because I bought the platinum most expensive wash. Granted I did drive from la so my car was dirtier but I was very happy that the supervisor had the guys wash and dry my car all over again to make me happy. Came here with a friend to get her car cleaned. She bought the RVL package (their top of the line service) - for $35 we both thought her SUV would be hooked up. That was NOT the case! The seats and floor mats in the front and back looked as if they had not been vacuumed at all. There were crumbs left in the seats clearly visible and under neath the seats hadn't been touched at all! If we hadn't been in a slight hurry to get to our next errand we would have taken it back to be re-vacuumed. The exterior wash was ok. The cashier area had some cool gifts, cards, signage etc. That may be the star of this spot! read more

Went here for a car wash..... $40 for a wash!!! When I got home I saw dirt spots, water drippings all over but many new scratches have appeared, one over 5" long. Now I have to try to remove these scratches myself. Don't go to this place unless you want your car looking like crap. read more

If I could give this place 3.5 stars, then that is what I would probably do, but I can't so three stars it is. I have been coming here since moving to San Carlos in 2013. I always get just the basic package, because I don't think getting anything more expensive will get a better clean. I have rubber mats and so once in a while I get them washed, which means they add $5 to my bill. They do an OK job of vacuuming, but I usually do more when I bring it home. I realize this is probably not how it should be, but for whatever reason, I keep coming back. I probably keep coming back for the following reasons: The service here is really friendly, and the people recognize you and are really nice. They do a quick and efficient job (if not the best job), and so getting in and out is easy. I have a Subaru Outback, and there have been about three instances when they forgot to clean the trunk. I took my car back every time and showed them and they were very apologetic and fixed it right away, but that is a pain. Since it has happened three times, I usually check the trunk before I leave now. Except I forgot to check when I went today - but luckily, it was clean :). The completely unexpected reason I like to come here is they have a great gift shop! I have gotten one of a kind gifts for people here (even children for their birthdays) that I have not seen anywhere else! They even have Moleskines, which I use all the time, and besides Barnes & Noble, I haven't seen those anywhere. I have picked them up here when I needed them (I use them for work) - go figure. This is totally counterintuitive, but hey, life is weird like that. I have also picked up little sweet things for myself. They have cute jewelry, really cool journals and inspirational magnets and a way, way better selection of greeting cards than Hallmark. All stuff I am a sucker for. I am pretty sure this is the real reason I come here to get my car washed, I just use the car wash as an excuse to look at cute stuff. I am also pretty sure that whoever owns and runs this place, knows that this is a pull to get you in their car wash. It works with me, so OK. If I were going to rate just the gift shop and good waiting area (along with their complimentary coffee and tea) then I would give them five stars. Unfortunately, they are a car wash, not a store, so I am rating the car wash. Anyhow, I write in journals all the time - I fill them and go through them like crazy, with notes, thoughts, ideas, sketches, to do lists, you name it. They have the cutest journals here for the best prices ever! Even better priced than journals in B&N. I added a photo of the journal I picked up today. I am all about lotuses lately! Yay, I felt like a scored a find. Good luck if you come here - I hope your car gets washed the way you like. But, I can safely say, you can pick up gifts for special occasions while you are getting your car washed, and that, will definitely be a hit. read more

Had a very good experience with the staff here. First of all, they have free coffee inside (which is clean and roomy) while you wait to get your car washed which is always a plus. This review is for oil change my wife received. Right before she took it in the last time to get an oil change I was curious as to why she paid so much the time before, as well as "Marked" the oil filter out of curiosity . So she took it to change and told wife to let them know only the standard 5w30 oil change. 39.99 but ours take 1/2 more of a quart and they charge extra.. Fine Whatev!, but today after wife said her air pressure lights were going on I checked the tires and all were under inflated 20psi, I was curious as to why this was. them I remembered I marked the filter with a sharpie and let me check... Low and behold the same filter was still in and the Mark was their a bit faded, but still their. Now I am wondering how many times this has has happened. We are pretty good as given them our business and recently took my newer car. This get's me livid that they took advantage of my wife not knowing anything about oil changes, just the fact when I tell her to go and get it done. We put our trust into their service and seeing all these shows about taking advantage of women, it really shows it is out their and have be careful. I just realized it this evening and .have contacted through their email because when I realized everything today they were closed... We work hard for our money as I am sure they all do, but to get the "No" service we pay, just is not right. Plain and simple not good... read more

I went to their facilities in San Jose and in Burlingame and let me tell you the one in San Carlos is the best no doubt first of all when they say hand wash that's what you get no brushes their other two car washes had brushes and the service wasn't particularly satisfactory, I told them that I have the silver package instead they gave me a regular wash exterior only at both of their facilities, San Carlos facility was very professional and they seen that I did have the silver package by running my license plate. If you get your car washed here, do what MANY of the patrons do. Stand next to your car and watch these guys work. Because otherwise, they will leave something undone. Like dress one of your tires, but "forget" to do the other three. Or forget to add air freshener to your car. Or dust some of the interior areas but neglect other areas. In other words, if you just trust them to do everything you've paid them to do, there's a good chance it won't get done. We only go here when we've got no other choice. read more

This place has only been so-so for me. Today for example - I get the $18.99 wash which is the basic vac, wash, dry, clean the wheels, and windows. They NEVER wipe out the door cubbies or shift area. I sometimes find myself buying those over priced AmorAll wipes and doing it myself. Most times the dry job is OK, but sometimes I have left there with water dripping down the sides and back of my car. Its tough work and I am sure they are not paid too well. I pay someone to do it because technically I don't have a place to do it myself and I am most often lazy/busy. I complain but the truth is I will still keep coming back here. Its right by my work and I can always, no matter how busy, get in and out under an hour. read more

This is one of the better-managed car washes in the area and give 4 stars to the on the ground employees and management staff. The staff and front-end management are impressively customer-focused. I have been going here for years and will continue to do so, however there is something that the OWNERSHIP needs to remedy ASAP. So for now the ownership gets 3 stars, but this can be remedied. I have observed after many years of coming to this car wash and through different owners, that there has yet to be a healthy and appropriate, WELL-CONSTRUCTED covered workspace to PROTECT FROM THE SUN the hard-working employees who work in the heat on their feet performing back-breaking work for many hours straight! Really?!!! WHY? It is just plain wrong and morally offensive to see this year after year. I am not the only one who feels this way. other car washes do this, but why not this one? So dear ownership, when do you intend to build a QUALITY COVERED workspace in the front of the building for your employees to be protected from the sun and other elements. This would include having a WATER STATION for them to hydrate regularly. When might we see this changing? read more

I pulled in to drop my car off to be washed and while inside paying, the detail mgr (I've since learned his name is Victor) came in and told me he had found something under my seat. He held out his hand with a $100 bill in it!!! My jaw dropped! Not only have I never found anything missing from there (which is not all that uncommon at car washes, I hate to admit) but to have someone hand you $100 cash that you hadn't realized you'd lost?! This is my new go-to gift store for birthdays! Such a thoughtful gift shop at reasonable prices! Being a single mommy, I am a sucker for "sale" tags & they don't have those. The only poo poo I would put on them is that they have a sign saying "$3 off when u purchase gas" - to lure you in; but then the gas pumps don't work.
