The next day, while I hadn't heard back yet, I dropped by the business anyway, because I was at the library nearby. Ramon greeted me and I explained the issue, and they were able to find the part and replaced the bulb quickly on the spot, and I was done in less than 10 minutes! I was very appreciative of the excellent customer service, and I'll be back.

We asked for a shorter time since it was my daughter's spring break. At first they said it was ok but then they changed their mind. They insisted on a minimum of three weeks. I think that they run a racket on the tesla loaners and charge the insurance with luxury rentals. Their main focus was to secure as much money they could procure for themselves ignoring all the requests of the customers. In total they took around $12,000 for a repair of less than $2000 for an average paint shop. (they tell everyone a minimum of three weeks!)

Suddenly, on December 5, they emailed demanding the loaner back immediately and threatened a police report for "failure to return a rental vehicle." I called their rep (Alfonso), who said he would extend the loaner--he never followed up. That evening, the loaner was remotely disabled (Valet Mode) while I was driving, stranding me overnight in 20°F snowy/rainy weather on a busy DC street. I had to pay for towing myself to avoid freezing. The next morning (December 6), they called police (Rockville and Prince George's County), claiming I failed to return the rental. They also told officers my Florida license was "fake" or fraudulent. Police cleared me immediately. I repeatedly explained my disabilities (immune-compromised, OCD, ADHD, anxiety) and asked for accommodations to get my medication and belongings from the loaner (less than ¼ mile away at a friend's house). They refused and left me stranded without transportation or meds ever since. Now they demand over $14,000 in storage/rental fees--almost as much as the repair estimate--yet no work was ever done on my car. I have video, emails, bills, and records. This was unsafe, unprofessional, and unacceptable. Avoid if you value safety and clear communication.

The repair adjuster, Wayne Mathis, was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. His customer service was terrible, and he spoke to me in a disrespectful manner. It also seemed like he was telling my insurance company that certain repairs were unrelated, which, from my perspective, appeared to be an attempt to avoid repairing them. Based on my experience, he should not be dealing with customers. If he hates his job that much, he should leave instead of taking it out on customers. Management should seriously reconsider whether someone who treats customers this way should continue representing the company. The front desk and repair department were disorganized, communication was poor, and getting updates or straight answers was nearly impossible. After wasting almost a month of my time, I had no choice but to pick up my truck and take it to another repair shop. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. How am I supposed to trust a $40,000 Car to person to shows up? It says give me your car. I took a picture of a drivers license and add her my Car Keys I received a text about 1115 in the morning to take my car had arrived at the Shop 1230. No update 130. No update, so I called the Shop and they said it was in the key to be worked on. 230. No update. No response from the road to Shop. I caught an Uber to the Shop which had my expenses. $14.75. When I arrived at the Shop, there was five guys in the lobby. Just seen around. I think they were employees. And when I asked her about my car they gave me this. Oh shit look and he said oh, they're about to pull it in. The time was now three that day and they asked me if I wanted the Service after all. And I said hell. No it took you four hours not to do an oil change. That's upsurd . Give me my Keys. I fed a complaint on the road to app. I received your text and someone was gonna reach out to me. Today is Wednesday, February 11 and no one has ever reached out to me. I will never use a Service again. Worse Customer Service experience I've experienced ever, and I will badmouth this Company on social media to all my coworkers to all my acquaintance to everybody. Very very unprofessional for a business that trying to start up. By the way, you're $60 oil change out to have it done at Mr. Tire the next day for $49.95 Go figure!!!

I was moving to Florida in three days and I needed body work done on my crushed hood and grill before I left so that I could sell my car before I left. These guys understood my dilemma and worked diligently with my insurance company to get approval to get the job started quickly. In two days, I got a call saying they were done. i was ecstatic when i saw the car - it looked brand new including a perfectly repaired hood and grill, and the removal of all scratches and nicks in a separate job detailing inside and out. They also repaired the pull latch that opened the trunk and installed a missing hood pole that kept the hood open and without me even asking. These guys took great pride in the job, answered all my questions, and came through under tight time restrictions. I would recommend these guys to anyone looking for an honest, ethical, and talented team for body repair. Thanks again guys!!! read more

Thankfully, nobody was hurt. My car? Not so much. A headlamp and front quarter panel lost a high five with the reinforced back of a panel truck somewhere down South on the way to visit family. Upon return to Maryland, my insurance company and I made arrangements to have work done by Zamora's. They had years ago done some excellent work on another car we have. This shop is what makes me so happy to support American Small Business. Their location was clean and well-managed. My service coordinator, Alex, always kept me up to date on technical proceedings with my car. When it finally came time for pickup, my car nearly looked brand new. Panel lines lined up, no orange peel in the paint, and the color match was flawless as they clearly secured manufacturer paint. All repairs were clearly itemized and the payment was made efficiently from my insurance. I will assume prices were reasonable / consistent with the market as my insurance provider did not balk at the quote. Buyer Beware - My Experience with Kenwood in Frederick (Tesla Model Y Repair)…read more I had my Tesla Model Y repaired by Kenwood in Frederick after the liftgate was replaced, and I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the repair. After getting the vehicle back, I immediately noticed large panel gaps and poor alignment around the newly installed liftgate. The gaps are clearly visible in the attached photos. I also had the vehicle looked at by Tesla and another Tesla-certified collision center, and both indicated that the alignment is not within expectations. When I brought my concerns to Matt at Kenwood, he initially told me he didn't see any problem with the gaps. Later, he said he would speak with the shop director. Shortly afterward, I received a text stating that the director had declined to perform any additional repairs and that I would need to handle the issue on my own. I find this response completely unacceptable, especially after paying for what should have been a proper repair. As a customer, I expected the vehicle to be restored to factory-quality fit and finish, not returned with obvious alignment issues. I am currently exploring my legal options regarding this matter. If anyone else has had similar experiences with Kenwood in Frederick, particularly involving Tesla repairs or bodywork quality, I'd appreciate hearing from you. For the bottom line up front - DO NOT LET THEM USE A SISTER SHOP This review is based on my experience dealing with Kenwood Auto Body of Gaithersburg and concluding with having the issues fixed at Kenwood Auto Body of Rockville. When I picked up my vehicle, I immediately commented that I thought the body panels would look better. The advisor waved this comment off as meeting some minimum quality requirement. I thought maybe I was being overly critical so I asked a few family members and coworkers over the next week what they thought of the repair. For coworkers who were unaware I had been in an accident and for whom I did not tell which side had been repaired, they were easily able to identify the repair. As of today (Dec 29, 2023) I am scheduled to return to Kenwood Autobody - Gaithersburg to have the repair reviewed under their Lifetime Warranty. I will update this review if anything changes after my follow up visit. **Update - I took my vehicle back to Kenwood and they are addressing my concerns. Good for them for standing by their warranty but I am still disappointed the original repair made it out the door. Also see Update #2. ** Update #2 - Another not great repair. There is paint and a finger print on the rear driver side door handle. Rather than attempting to fix the rear quarter panel, they decided to replace it this time - which I'm ok with. The alignment between the bumper and quarter panel looks good but the door and quarter panel are still not aligned. ** Update #3 - I met with one of the Kenwood managers at the Rockville location. They were able to address my issues and apologized for quality issues I encountered. I do appreciate that they stood behind their work a second time, corrected the issue, and seemed genuinely apologetic. Now that the work is done, both the color match and panel alignments look great. If I had picked up my vehicle in this condition the first time, this review would have been a 5/5. The multiple trips to address quality issues with the repair are difficult for me to overlook.

About a year ago, AAA referred me to Alex for a small job to buff some paint off my vehicle. It wasn't a big repair, but I immediately noticed how professional, honest, and detail-oriented he was. That stuck with me. Fast forward to about five weeks ago when my SUV was hit by a snowplow and suffered significant damage. When the insurance appraiser first looked at it, he believed it might be a total loss and told me to go to the shop to pick up my tags. As you can imagine, that was pretty discouraging. Thankfully, Alex took the time to go over everything carefully with the appraiser. After a closer inspection, they realized the frame was still intact and that the vehicle could actually be repaired. From that point on, Alex made what could have been a very stressful situation so much easier. He kept me updated throughout the entire process with calls, texts, and even photos of the progress. That kind of communication and transparency is rare these days and meant a lot to me. When I picked up my SUV, I was honestly blown away. The work was flawless. My vehicle looks brand new. Alex is clearly a perfectionist and takes a lot of pride in what he does. They even detailed the car inside and out -- it truly looks better than the day I bought it from the dealership. Doing so made things very convenient as I was able to use them a a central location to have a GEICO adjuster estimate damage while I drove away in an Enterprise rental. Dealing with the two gentleman Randy and Dave who run the shop was very pleasant. They were friendly guys that gave me what I felt were honest opinions. My first situation retrieving my car after repairs was a positive one. I was very happy with the work done to repair a bumper. When I made them aware they they did not buff a headlight, they asked that I come right over, and they fixed it while I waited, apologizing for what was an honest mistake overlooking it (hard to see in the sunlight). Customer service was terrific when I had questions about my A/C, and attention/advice was given just as a courtesy. At another time, when my vehicle turned out to be a total loss, they were very accomodating providing me the time I needed to come by and take care of the various things needed. My hope is I do not need to use them again (it would mean damage to my car, right?), but I do say I can recommend them.

They did not complete all repairs stating the insurance company denied part of the claim. They did…read morenot bother to inform me of this issue until picking up the car sighting they were not responsible to inform the client of any insurance company decisions. When arguing with them they told me I should just leave and not bother them.
