BUYER BEWARE!!! I picked up my new to me 2015 Jeep Wrangler on a Friday night, pulled out and pulled right back in as it had a noise it did not have during the test drive. Was told by Dan that is just how Wranglers sound. Saturday morning I didnt feel safe and stopped driving it as the noise kept getting louder and felt like the car was going to just fall apart. They told me to bring it back to them for the sticker which I knew would fail as the noise and shaking it was doing I knew something was not right. Shocking they took it to Sullivan Tire in Bridgewater and it passed. I then asked about the noise again and Mike said " you own it now you can bring it wherever you want". Drove it straight to a Jeep dealer and they said I am lucky I didnt drive it much as there was 5k in work that needed to be done and it was all safety issues !! THE CAR SHOULD NOT HAVE PASSED INSPECTION! They must pay off Sullivan tire to pass cars. It was towed from Jeep back to my house so I could talk to them face to face about these safety issues. Once I spoke to them they came to my house to pick the jeep up. They agreed to fix all the issues but wanted to do the work themselves which was fine I just wanted a car that was safe to drive with my family. They then called a week later and said it was ready but when I asked Mike for a copy of what was fixed he said he couldnt give me anything but started listing off everything they fixed. I just wanted the car back so didnt want to argue. I was also told it was personally driven on the highway and there were no issues. I also asked Mike why there was no coolant in the car when I checked Saturday morning and he advised me HIS MECHANIC didnt bleed the lines correctly. He also stated after he picked up the Jeep from my house he called Dan and said there is something really wrong with this Jeep. Well what do you know I pull out and the car doesnt even drive straight!!! I am all over the road. I am defiantly not bringing it back there as now I have owned a car for 15 days and havent been able to drive it. Get it looked at again and was told they didnt replace some bearings and the steering column was barely on which is why the car was all over the road. Also, once i got it back i had a lot of new scratches on the paint as well. No way was I bringing this back to AUTO CITY to have them fix this issue just to have them F up something else so I am paying out of pocket to fix the other safety issues that were not fixed. I regret ever giving this company my business. STAY AWAY!! I would list everything that was wrong with it but I do not have the invoice from Jeep on hand showing everything that needed to be fixed. read more

I bought my dream car over a year ago and I was so blinded by the beauty of my Mustang GT convertible that I would've taken it regardless my partner of 30 years had just passed away so to say that I was grieving is an understatement but two weeks after getting the car the brakes went and it wasn't a very pleasant experience to get them replaced by auto city they were awful and mean now, and I guess shame on me for not looking, but there was no spare tire. They never told me that. But I found out the hard way so if anyone is looking for the dream car and finds it at auto city buyer beware they suck. read more

I traded in a car to put towards a purchase off this lot last year, a purchase which they wouldn't entertain even a thought of wiggle room on the price. The car I was trading in was nothing special so I asked for 500 for it. I said " hopefully someone will get good use out of it" and I was told "Oh no, this will go to scrap, we can't sell it, too many miles" WHY CANT PEOPLE JUST BE HONEST I am now looking for a car for my partner and so I thought I'd check their website and wouldn't you know, my old trade in, sitting on their website for $3,200.00. I would highly recommend Auto City to anyone looking to buy a great used car. Before we went there, we asked a close friend who has been in the car business for 30 years, about the dealership, and he gave them a good recommendation as honest businessmen. The 2 owners are brothers who took over the business that their father started. We think he would be proud. They are very easy to work with. They pay attention to every detail and answered all my questions. We felt at ease through the whole process. If you know cars, and are familiar with how to buy a used car, these gentleman can be difficult to deal with. First and foremost they want a $300 NON-running doc fee, which means you are responsible for taking care of tax, title, registration, and inspection. So, if something doesn't pass inspection, or at the RMV after you leave with it, your on the hook for that too. Most dealerships will send a runner to do all of this for $50-$100 and half of the time will waive the fee if your nice. Next issue was the "no haggling" approach I received after identifying a few minor issues with the vehicle I had driven and looked at. I was told they do not haggle and that everything they have is priced to sell. However, the vehicle I was looking at was a manual transmission, 13 years old, and has been listed there for just over half a year now according to two other sites as well. In my opinion, it's not priced to sell at 3k over book value, with zero wiggle room after identifying possibly soon to be issues with the vehicle. I was not looking for tons off the window price, but I was looking for a little give based on solid facts about the car and they refused to budge, or even entertain the idea of waiving the high doc fee either. The response I got was very staunch in that it is what it is. So in conclusion and my opinion, if you are armed with knowledge about cars and the services that you should receive for the money you are spending, you might want to try somewhere else first. read more

Went to look at a Jeep today after conversing via email with the manager. Description online and what I was told by email was that this vehicle was "super clean, clean car fax and no reported accidents." When viewing the vehicle the tailgate was clearly damaged from a fender bender, and the tailgate was pushed in. It was clearly in an accident. Emailed the dealer in regards to this and was told "we have a replacement tailgate that we're painting and putting on this week. This vehicle is 13 years old and is fairly clean for its age". Pretty scummy that based on the info online that states it was a clean, accident free vehicle, I would have never known it had damage since they planned on replacing the tailgate. Buyer beware, don't buy from here unless you're okay with purchasing a vehicle and not knowing the full truth behind it. read more
