La Reine: buckwheat flour (is gluten free), sauteed mushrooms with garlic and herbs, ham, Swiss Cheese and sunny side egg
    Callie T.

My Honey took me here for an early birthday lunch date in downtown Simpsonville. He has never been here and I did not even realize all of the savory galettes they had that were all gluten free since made from buckwheat flour. He has gluten and dairy allergies (amongst others) so it was great that he could have something different. He ordered Le fermiere which had prosciutto, Brie cheese, mushroom saute with garlic and herbs, broken egg and it's green salad. Since he cannot have dairy, they put the Brie on a separate dish and asked if he wanted to add another ingredient to provide more to it. He added spinach for an additional charge. I ordered La Reine which had saute mushrooms with garlic and herbs, ham, Swiss cheese and sunny side up egg. I thought it was tasty. Perhaps it was because not only did I have my Swiss cheese, I also ate the Brie. This was more dairy than I normally eat so my digestive system was definitely feeling it. Honey ordered the twist apple cider that originally came with ice but I was surprised he didn't order some type of hot drink since that's what he has at home, so he asked them whether he could have it warm, which they accommodated. He tried to convince me to have a milkshake since they had it on the menu and I like sweets but since I had worked out at the gym that morning, I wanted to continue drinking my water from my water bottle but they even brought out a cup of water for me. Though I was full, Honey insisted I order a crepe which I knew would have tasted much better immediately when it came out so I had a bite but took it to-go. There were many flavors but I did the Nutella and banana, and it came with the Chantilly cream which I had to Google to discover what it is. We sat inside in their main dining hall. It was after 1 pm. There was a pair inside as well but nearly done and taking photos. We were asked if we wanted indoor or outdoor. Honey thought the temp inside was warmer to sit. There's an outdoor patio in the back but there were quite a few people there with school age kids. Eating here is very similar to dining in France, don't expect fast service. The dishes are all made to order and fresh, so no pre-fab or frozen or batter sitting around. That also means, when one person's dish comes out, est it when it's still warm. Honey initially was trying to wait for mine to come out before eating and though I kept saying, please go ahead and eat, it wasn't until the owner came out and commented that it's much better when it's warm did he do so. (I've been here before since I used to work across the street and celebrated a baby shower here). There is a ramp for handicap at the back of the restaurant, a single clean bathroom, and cute decor. Honestly, the relaxed atmosphere, no rushing (definitely not), jazz music playing gently in the speakers is wonderful. The food is quite tasty, and greatly appreciate how accommodating they were for the menu. I do have to say, after we got home, Honey made something to eat as he needs a lot of protein because of the calories he burns up while I on the other hand ate those abundance of calories. May not seem a fair tradeoff for him but did enjoy his lunch though it could have been the company

Just wanted to leave review for Authentique French Creperie ! I went with my family on Sunday and they were phenomenal! Amazing customer service, they were super special with our dog: brought her frozen bananas ... the owner treated us like family and brought the food fast . Flavor was amazing and fresh! Kids loved their crepe : Nutella with ice cream and hot chocolate with chocolate chips and mints. We sat outside and had a really good experience. They were super special and made us feel comfortable, always letting us know about timing of the food or if we needed anything else.A truly local gem in Simpsonville. I tried the duck prosciutto with mushrooms and Brie : the mix of flavors and sauce were a great combination. The lettuce gave the perfect balance as well as the sauce. Highly recommended for breakfast or brunch in downtown Simpsonville! #simpsonville

Only have been here two times, each time being excellent! The ladies that run this little joint are so nice and attentive. The menu is pretty decent size for a smaller breakfast/lunch spot. The first time I went, I got the strawberry & Nutella crape and it was super yummy and filling. The second time around I got the mozzarella panini and a peppermint mocha iced coffee. The inside seating was totally filled up but we got the whole outside patio to ourselves! It wasn't too hot because it's covered and there was a nice breeze. I definitely recommend trying it just once if you're in Simpsonville for breakfast.

Authentique French Creperie is located in Simpsonville, SC. It's been on my list of places to try for a while. I had the opportunity to try it with two of my family members. Authentique is only open Friday through Sunday. It is such a cute place. It's not very big, but would be ok for one to four people to dine. The inside is bright and cheerful with the table tops being an aqua/turquoise color. They have a nice selection of breakfast, brunch and lunch items. The lady's there are so nice, and I love their French accent. Today we came for a light dessert, I got the La Charlotte and my niece got the La Chocolat. The Charlotte is a crepe with sliced strawberries, powdered and crystal sugar and Chantilly cream. La Chocolat was a crepe with a chocolate drizzle, dusted in powdered sugar and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Let me tell you presentation is everything, and they do it well with those crepes. I really enjoyed my crepe, and plan on coming back to try lunch.

Service was phenomenal, we brought along the dog and they were so sweet with her. We got the cute back patio all to ourselves. It was our first time and they were patient explaining and recommending things to us. Without even asking they brought out a water bowl and some frozen bananas for her to munch on. The crepes were SO good. Organic tea offered and was tasty- honey was a small up-charge but it was so yummy we didn't even mind. Will definitely be back!

Yes! You should come here!!! *** So this restaurant appears genuinely FRENCH! Now open for 2 years, the one thing that you notice immediately is the wonderful aroma of fine food. You'll also recognize the care and attention to detail so obviously and lovingly given to the decor et l'atmosphere. WOW!!! The ladies here were amazing ... treating us like family and speaking with those alluring French accents. They are all French and our server was a delightfully kind and patient woman who has lived in the US for 20 years. Open for breakfast and lunch, their menu is divided between sweet and savory with a generous assortment on each side. I've im life's some photos. You'll also be pleasantly surprised with the affordability! Well, I cannot give them enough praise for their cuisine. Yes! YOU MUST TRY THIS RESTAURANT!!!

This is my favorite place ever when I'm craving crepes. They take every other restaurant in the area that makes those flimsy, stuffed crepes and blows them completely out of the water. These crepes are legit and legit delicious. Some may look at the crepes and think they look like a sparse and unfilling portion but, once you finish one, you quickly change your tune. It's very difficult for me to not come here every weekend for brunch. The temptation is too strong! The staff are very friendly and will answer any questions you have about the menu and even though the dining area is small, it's so bright between the light color scheme and the many windows along the front of the building, it never feels cramped. Suffice it to say, I absolutely love this place.

I enjoyed my meal, as it was simple & light, though filling and enjoyable. I would like to try a Crepe if I ever come back. The interior is also cute and has rustic decor, cozy atmosphere. Service was quick, but I also felt that it was lacking and communication was short. We didn't get straws or have napkins at the table, so I tried my best to not make a mess eating. Every time the server came by, it was so quick I didn't get to ask. I don't like that the silverware is just sitting out either, not very sanitary. I got a small pastry that was also forgotten about until the server was reminded. There was also someone that was going around to tables to check in...it felt like we were left out. I'd like to give this place another chance, but it wasn't a great first impression.

The food here is mediocre at best and wildly inconsistent, but my biggest issue is with the…read moreowner/manager and the way customers are treated when they make mistakes, which here, are often. I've given this restaurant more chances than I probably should have because there aren't many dining options in Inman. Unfortunately, every visit has reinforced the same impression. One visit, I came in with a group of five. The restaurant was not busy, yet we waited over 30 minutes for our food. I ordered a crepe with lemon curd that arrived with a watery filling. I had ordered the dish before and knew it wasn't right. The waitress agreed to take it back, but after another long wait she returned and explained they couldn't remake it because the curd needed more time to set. In other words, they knew it wasn't ready but served it anyway. At that point, I was starving and ordered a different crepe. By the time it arrived, my friends had already finished their meals and we'd been there for over an hour. The replacement wasn't very good and I only ate part of it. When the bill came, I was charged full price. Not once during the entire experience did the owner come by to apologize or check on the situation, despite being present. When I politely explained that I didn't feel I should be charged for a dish that was served incorrectly and delayed the entire table, the owner argued that because I had eaten some of the replacement crepe, I should pay for it. The conversation became unnecessarily confrontational over what should have been a simple customer service issue and could have been easily solved by a discount and an apology. Eventually the item was removed, but only after a lengthy debate. What bothered me most wasn't the mistake. Mistakes happen. It was the complete lack of accountability, concern, or desire to make things right. In reading some of the other reviews, it seems others have also had this experience On a later visit, the owner made a point of checking on every nearby table except ours, which felt intentionally passive-aggressive given our previous interaction. My last visit was the worst experience yet. The food was poor, service was slow, and I watched the owner lock the doors 40 min before the posted closing time of 2 pm, and no sign posted. Several customers arrived expecting the restaurant to be open and were visibly frustrated. I then observed the owner complaining about those customers to other guests inside the restaurant. Expecting a business to honor its posted hours is not entitlement; it's a reasonable expectation. I also observed her arguing with a customer on my way out. That was my last cue to never give this place another shot. At the end of the day, food is usually a miss, and service is slow. What is much harder to overlook is an owner who seems unwilling to accept responsibility when problems arise, and more likely to lash out at customers than focus on improvement . I will never go back, this place has left a very bad taste in my mouth. Updated response to owner: No ma'am, this review is directly related to my experiences as a customer in your establishment over multiple visits. My review specifically discusses issues I experienced with the food, service, and management, all of which are relevant to a customer's dining experience. Suggesting that my review stems from a personal matter rather than the experiences I described only reinforces my concern about accountability. Instead of addressing the specific issues raised, you've chosen to dismiss them as unrelated. I'm certainly not the only customer who has had these concerns, and I would be happy to provide screenshots of other reviews describing similar experiences. Reviews are not personal. They are a reflection of a customer's experience and are intended to help other members of the community make informed decisions. My review is based on my own experiences and observations as a paying customer. ****UPDATED 6/16: received a message from Yelp stating the owner tried to get my review removed saying 'I had a conflict of interest.' Once again, that's not true. I've only ever been a customer and do not know the owner nor does she know me. This is rather unethical and dishonest, so one more reason not to go here.

The little truck that you order at is so tiny and adorable. I ordered the banana nut crepe, the chicken mushroom crepe, and the lemon sugar crepe. (There were 3 people with me, don't worry. I didn't eat them all) The banana nut was delicious. It was the perfect texture and the chocolate really brought things together. The chicken mushroom one was awesome. The flavors bursted in my mouth. It tasted like Italian food on a crepe. The lemon sugar crepe could have had more lemon flavor and overall that one was a bit plain.
