Steve did a wonderful job repairing our old California stucco (1960's bungalow). I'm still raving to everybody about it, because I can't believe how well it turned out, It is seamless and I couldn't be more pleased. I had a small stucco repair job that had been getting worse over the years and I was never able to get a stucco plasterer to come and quote me on the job. Finally after several tries I found Steve. Steve took on the task and noted a number of things that I needed to do to improve that side of the house with regards to gutters and moisture collection. He recommended an excellent young builder who came in and replaced the sheets of plywood that had bowed and then Steve came in and finished the job. He is an outstanding stucco man and is also a real interesting character to spend time with. He also ingratiated himself with our neighbours as the work site was between two houses that are very close together and much of his time he was working from their sidewalk. The neighbours were more than happy with Steve and he also ingratiated himself with their dog. His work is outstanding and he leaves the site when finished completely cleaned and back to the way it was. Actually cleaner. This review is based on communication as it is a huge staple with me, especially in the business world. I reached out to these guys and spoke with Steve the other day. I felt confident and positive about our conversation and was hoping that he would come out to do a quote for us as discussed and agreed upon. When it came time to solidify and schedule the appointment I received an e-mail that said he is too busy to do the job. I wasn't asking for the job, just a quote at that stage, especially since upon conversation I was told that he could come out to do the quote later in the week. It was abrupt and confusing as to the sudden change of plans. I tried to follow up for clarification but got no response. He may have been scared off by the project at how bad it is and felt that he may have not been able to do it this year, however, a little more honestly instead of mysterious abruptness would've been appreciated. I am leaving it at two stars as the communication was good during the initial call, however, just fell flat. read more
