Recently my chiropractor, Dr Nate Alexander, recommended I purchase a pair of Brooks athletic shoes. ( Beast for Men and Ariel for women ). Within a couple of minutes being inside the store a rather tall, yet very helpful and friendly employee asked if she could help. She indeed was very helpful. I have bought many shoes in my life....put them on, if they don't bind then they MUST fit, right? This employee taught me that there is a particular way to try on athletic shoes (tapping your heel on the floor 2-3 times when you put the shoe on). Standing flat footed your big toe should be inside the part where the mesh toe cover and the plastic decorative piece meet. She also tried very hard to find a pair in my size that was on sale, but the closest was 1/2 size too small. So, for customer satisfaction and the politeness of the employees I give them top rating. As far as the shoes themselves, I was limping for years. After only wearing these Brooks shoes for 1 1/2 days I stopped limping. She had a very grumpy face when I asked her a questions... She was very short with me. She looked as if I was bothering her to do her job . We are always greeted when we walk in and are asked several times, while shopping, if we need any help. They have expanded their selection in clothing, over the past 5+ yrs, which is always a unique selection. This past week they had a great sale on just about everything. Though prices on most items are high, but I guess that proves they have higher quality shoes. read more

Cost of nothing: I just paid a $36 subscription fee to look at a pair of shoes for three days and then drive them across town. The sizing was off, the return codes were a myth, and the 'shipping window' was a panic attack in disguise. If you enjoy losing money and still being barefoot, you'll love it here. BEWARE - TERRIBLE RETURNS POLICY Because of ther returns policy, which I initially failed to research prior to my purchase, I will never buy from Austin's Shoes again. I not only had to pay the full shipping cost to send the 'too small' shoes back to Austin's ($30 via UPS Ground), but they charged me another $9 "shipping charge" to send the shoes back. In the end, I spent $98 on these shoes and got $59 back. read more

Look, honestly I was very disappointed. If you're looking for trail runners then you don't want to this store.. total waist of time... They have no clue about hiking.. they said they were a Trail runner dealer and they only Carry 2 pair of them.. a crappy pair of Altra Long peak and an unproven brand of new balance,,, the new balance at least had vibran sole but are not real trail shoes.. asked them if they had any toe socks and they acted like I was crazy.. they have no clue about the market or have any selection.. they are more interested in selling hospital shoes.. Horrible customer service, it's fair to mention I only interacted with one individual but I was looking to purchase a gift for my wife, this lady was helping me and another lady, both of us were looking at the same brand shoe, one of the other workers looked at her and said "should I get me a pair of those?" She replied, "ugh, no they are so ugly". With both of us standing right there. I continued to look but heaven forbid i interupt here telling about her family drama. I eventually got fed up and left. I work hard for my money and was willing to drop Good money on a pair of shoes, But I will not be buying them from there. I dont think this represents austins as a whole it was just one employee at the corinth location. These guys were great! Looking for Uggs at Christmas time and found one of the last pairs available For the same price as everyone else. Costumer service was great and answered all my stupid questions quickly. They got it to me so fast, delivery time beat Amazon and Walmart. And it was free! Total saved Christmas! I don't know why Austin Shoes has bad reviews! My husband and I stopped by while on vacation. They had their sales going and we found some great deals and super comfy shoes! Definitely worth a visit. So you would think a company that charges what Austin's charges you could get just a iota of good customer service, rude. They aren't happy to see you come in, they watch you like your stealing something without even asking if they can help you. Then despite all that decided to order something from the other Austin's to have it shipped to Corinth for pick up, and argued with over the name of what company I work for, what a joke. Also it seems they don't even care enough to respond to yelp reviews. If I could've gotten the same shoe in the same time frame I would've even paid more to not deal with the sassy, sarcastic, obviously entitled employees here. What is up with Austin shoes. Went in today looking for kids shoes. First they never are friendly when you walk in. It is like you are a nuisance to the staff. Then as you look at the over priced merchandise, the gestapo watches you like a hawk as if you are shoving shoes in your pants as you walk around. And god forbid you need some assistance, that's when the real HATE comes out! I for one will not shop there again. My wife might but me, never again.
