Their prospects are pretty awful. They only offered one company, told me several times it was the only client they had in that field, and the place ran like a high school. Completely unprofessional. And the advisor I had (let's call him J) was also garbage. The company lied about their management and how they supervised me and he bought it without question and had me fired. Yes, you have to register on their site before you're even able to work. I was highly skeptical of staffing agencies, but since they got me a job, I can't complain. First job as a gaming master was easy. Interview was straightforward with simple questions. Started my first day when everyone had Labor Day off, which was a plus. I was asked to take Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off that first week due to reaching 40 hours earlier than most people due to working on Labor Day. Overall, it's a job. Not the best paying job or benefits, only stayed for the paycheck. read more

hello to all i had an interview using Zoom with ASI we started the interview which she was late to. Then she proceeded to check my ID she said to me this isnt your picture. Now i dont know about you but i have never been told that my entire life. So i said back to her no that is me. She ssaid do you have another picture ? I said no thats my ID what other picture am i supose to have. Thats my ID. So stay away from this company. i was called a lier during the interview. She claimed that that wasnt my picture in my ID in my book thats calling someone a lier. Plus its so unprofessional how do you think thatmakes someone fell during an interview ..... trying to resolve matter but dont think anyone cares that works there. It seems like it an revolving door with their staff, so there's lack of communication when you're on an assignment - which wasn't too big of a deal for me. They stiffed me on my last paycheck, which is fine - I have other means of income to be harassing these people for such a small amount. I would recommend the other staffing agencies in Austin than this one. read more

It's been my experience since I graduated from college that temping or contracting allows you the opportunity to try different jobs, and to make sure that a position is the right fit for you. I use different agencies, and spread a wide net of resources. This wouldn't be a recommendation for a resource for anyone. I called in to find out why I'd applied multiple times and had never heard from a recruiter. Typically if you apply with an agency they contact you pretty quickly to get you in, and registered, and hopefully out to work. Do I called and asked a simple question, if the apply now button on indeed is not the way to get in contact with their recruiters, then why have it on there? That was the wrong question. The admin got snappy and short, and hung up on me when I asked the question for the third time, because all she would say is that you have to apply through their website, that's the only way that you get in there system. So I asked to speak to her supervisor, because she was getting so short with me, and she hung up. Calling me rude when I in no way changed the manner in which I was speaking. I never cursed at her or yelled, but was instead hung up on because her answer wasn't making any sense to me. I called right back, and was laughed at by her supervisor. A gentleman that has an accent, and laughed at me the whole time that I was speaking with him. I'm so glad that the situation amused him. He thought it hilarious when I explained the situation. I didn't think any of t was hilarious, but made sure not to negatively respond, I told him to have a lovely day and got off the phone before I behaved as he was, and I'm more of a professional than that. Like I said, I've been temping, and in all my dealing with an agency that this is some of the worst. They're much more a hinders nice than a help. read more

Stay away from Austin Staffing. They do all they can to break the law along with their client IENERGIZED. I advised disability with a service dOG on first day of work. 6 days later I was FIRED because IENERGIZED would not allow my service dog. But IENERGIZED is aware OF the ADA laws per the office manager" We cannot deny her, it is the law." Guess the law doesn't mean anything to either Austin Staffing or IENERGIZER. read more

The staffing agency itself is quite disorganized and not always the best help. However, the main issue is that one of their clients, a customer support call center called iEnergizer, is a horrible place to work. The people there are rude, not helpful, and do not try to create a supportive, efficient work space. A lot of passive aggression comes into play, including from the managers. This staffing agency really pushes this client a lot, despite the turnover rate and complaints. They claim they will accept reports regarding their clients, but my agent was not at all concerned with what I had to say (he was also very difficult for me and fellow employees to work with). Many colleagues and I left, and I don't encourage going here. Check out TMD or Randstad instead. They're incredible people with phenomenal job opportunities, and I plan to stay with them from here on out. I'm actually considering legal counsel for one of the issues I faced with Austin Staffing and their client. I totally understand being down on your luck and needing money (which was my case), but it is not worth the risk here. read more

Expecting 5 Star Professional Business behavior from ANY Staffing Agency is, well, an inch or so above ludicrous. The ugly truths that nobody wants to talk about that must be understood before your do business with a Staffing Agency (whether as a business needing help, or a potential employee - we've done both), are that Staffing Agencies make most of their money from: A) Either companies that only have a need for work for a little while, OR, MORE FREQUENTLY... B) COMPANIES THAT ARE SEEKING TO TAKE ADVANTAGES OF LOOPHOLES IN FEDERAL, STATE, AND EVEN LOCAL LABOR LAWS, BENEFITS, ETC. In our tragically distraught Economy, (another uncomfortable truth that no one wants to think about), Temp Agencies and their... ways of doing business, are what keep many businesses afloat, unfortunately. If you are a Professional, and go into ANY agency, even the best, expecting Professional behavior, you are nearly certain of getting disappointed. We are not excusing these types of businesses for this, we are merely attempting to tell it like it is. We are a family in the Ministry who have moved all over the Country and have seen a lot of Temp Agencies and aren't strangers to Austin Staffing from the "employee" side of things, and to be quite frank, THEY'RE VERY TYPICAL OF A STAFFING AGENCY NATION-WIDE. We've seen significant negative behavior on their part worth noting, but we've also seen significant high points. In our experience, in general, - their Staff doesn't waste time. If you are assertive, and give them the data they need, they don't usually just sit on it for weeks on end like we've seen other agencies do. - their Staff also does at least attempt to give some semblance of Professionalism... - however, when that "quick, must fill position, asap" comes available to them from some nefarious client, all that real or feigned Professionalism seems to go right out the window. - as other posters on Yelp have brought to your attention, we too have seen, first hand, being offered an assignment and constantly having the start date pushed back ... even for months. - when encountering a problem with an Address of a Position, and calling quite early to be sure that we were not late, the Secretary who answered got rather angry, but rather than hang up on us in frustration like many agencies would, she did at least follow through with us until we found the right location. We could cite other examples, but again, Austin Staffing is basically a typical Staffing Agency and expecting great things out of even the best of Staffing Agencies is like searching the sewers for diamonds - don't be surprised if you get covered in feces and don't find anything precious, regardless of how talented, smart, experienced, or professional you are. --by the way, it is our opinion that the Post by "Lauren A" on 3/27/2012 much earlier than this post is a FAKE post by one of the Employees of the Agency itself in a feeble attempt to make themselves look better. My experience with Austin Staffing was very unpleasant. They claim to offer health insurance benefits, but I never received mine, even after working with them for 4 months. When I tried to get new glasses, the insurance company they use for vision coverage said I didn't exist. They pay below the standard for the industry; $9.00-9.50 an hour for a customer service position when the average wage for these types of jobs nationally is about $13-14 an hour (http://www.bls.gov/OES/current/oes434051.htm). If you have complaints, they have a very confusing series of procedures you have to follow, especially when their client is already a doubly-outsourced company with a confusing hierarchy, and there is no support should you work for them on a night shift. (And no pay differential either.) When I quit due to intolerable working conditions at one of their clients' job sites, I got blamed for the problem for not reporting it properly to begin with (due to the confusing hierarchy mentioned above), and I was told that I was 'out of line' when I wrote to them with the many reasons why I quit (including some illegal activities on the job site). They don't listen, and need to learn some skills in empathy and diplomacy. Instead of receiving an apology for their terrible service and the verbal abuse and unhealthy, inhumane working conditions I experienced at their client's job site, they -defended- the client, and I got scolded and blamed for their faults and their poor management skills. I would never recommend working for Austin Staffing, or partaking of their services as a client. This is, by far, the worst experience I have ever had working for a staffing agency, and I have worked for various staffing agencies in Texas since 1998. As an employee of this agency, you have no rights and no recourse. I leave it up to potential clients to decide whether or not they wish to hire a staffing agency with such poor standards for its employees. read more

I have been to their office 3 times over the last 8 years, called regularly when available, never had an interview or job placement. They pay very poorly too. Last time I was there they added some heavy duty security locks on their doors, have to buzz your way in. Obviously they are making enemies. I told them to not call me anymore, and I won't call them. Not sure how they pay their rent if they don't place people. read more

I have worked for many staffing companies in the past and I have to say this one is tops! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for employment.
