In anticipation of the winter/spring tire changeover, I ordered a new tire for to replace one of my 18" summers, as one of my tires had a bulge on the sidewall (which is a hazard) and also wanted to change over my 17" winter wheels/tires to 18" summer wheels/tires. I had called them up and spoketo Peter to see if he was busy and he had spots open so I drove up and had the work done while I walked across the street for a coffee and a bite to eat. When the work was done (20 mins),they placed my winter lug nuts in the box I supplied, winters in bags in my trunk, and handed me my bolt keys and car keys. Their customer service is nice and friendly. They have a clean shop with a waiting room that has a TV - remember it still is a tire and wheel shop so don't expect the Ritz Carlton. All in perspective here. I also ordered a new wheel to replace a cracked 17" winter rim a good month ago now, that order is still not in - but Peter controlled my expectations. First off, I want to say that this shop has great selection and as far as I know, the quality of their work is good. I have been a customer for a many years and spent thousands of dollars on numerous sets of tires but I will no longer bring my business to Aurora Tire and Wheel. Besides the fact that the two main operators Jason and Peter don't seem to know what the other is doing, in the busy Winter Tire season, it seems like Jason no longer cares about people or the retail grind and is being outright rude to customers behind their backs AND to their faces. While I was waiting 3.5 hrs for tires to be mounted, I hear a customer come in mentioning that his tire was slashed and asked for assistance. As soon as he left the door Jason started complaining to the numerous customers in line about the customer asking for "air". The guy overheard this and came back in and started yelling a Jason as it was very rude and insulting. This gentleman had several sets of tires and spent thousands of dollars at this shop, much like myself. With my most recent experience, I had to make 4 separate trips to complete my transaction. 1 hour the first time to order the tires, 3.5hrs to have one set installed (they received 1 tire of the wrong size so they couldn't finish the job), another 1.5hrs where my wife had an appointment, and another final trip to settle the invoice because Jason didn't know how much Peter charged for the deposit to order the tires in when my wife was last in to pickup the last set of tires. When my wife went to pickup her tires (I had made the appointment with Peter) she spoke with Jason and he was very rude to her. My wife called me in tears saying that he made her feel like an idiot. After waiting in line and then being told in a room full of people "this isn't a pit stop! What do you expect!" when we had a scheduled appointment AND IT STILL TOOK 1.5 hours to mount 4 tires that were already installed on a set of winter rims. I called the shop and spoke with Peter and I let him know that this was no way to treat a lady, a paying customer, or a human being. Peter apologized and mentioned that there was a miscommunication. My wife was still in the store and I expected that someone would apologize to her and explain the mix up. NOBODY APPLOGIZED TO HER while she was in tears waiting for this shop to mount the tires on her car for 1.5 hours WITH AN APPOINTMENT! I have been a customer at this shop for years and I have worked in management and retail, and it seems to me like this shop no longer cares about their customers and all they see are dollar signs. It's sad that I try to support the small guy and they demonstrate a lack of regard for people's feelings, time, or that these customers are supporting them and their business. I don't expect stellar service from the big box or big brand locations, but I can assure you that I have never had such a miserable and humiliating experience at any other tire shop I have purchased from in the past and I suggest that if you don't want to be treated like a dollar sign, that you shop for tires elsewhere. read more

Just an update guys. This stand up company decides to handle poor reviews buy calling your workplace and threatening legal action against them. CLASSY! As If you needed another reason to AVOID! I'm not sure where the pissy reviews are coming from. I've been going here for the 2+ years I've lived in the area and have never had a bad experience. They have good inventory, prices are normal-to-great when you factor in the convenience and service, staff have extensive knowledge, they are courteous and open. I've never had a problem with timing: Yesterday, my wife had to drive up north of Barrie to pick up 2 of our 3 kids. Our tires were not fairing well in this weekend's ice storm so I called them up. They were closing in an hour but said to head on over. I did and they had me outfitted with new tires. It was pretty busy with many other customers. This has been my experience every time I go there. Always a pleasure dealing with Jason, too. Very professional and friendly - Not sure what Andrew N is talking about. Bottom line is that I get better service, better dollar value and better quality work than going to CanTire or any other franchise I've been to. read more

So being new to aurora and wanting to support local business we go here to fix a flat. They ring me up and off I go. Get home, come back out, flat again. I go back they say its and old patch, we'll fix it. They put my full size spare on, put the damaged tire in the trunk and never even told me. My wife noticed the call pulling while driving the kids to daycare. She realized the different tire and after checking the spare, saw it was flat. Guess the family they care about is their own. Awful. Plenty of other places to go. This is why small local business are failing. read more

LOUSY customer service, and I am referring here to Jason's unprofessional attitude. Just as many others my good intent to support local business was treated with disrespect and in an aggressive way. I went there with a flat tire after they had installed the winter tires on rims few weeks ago. About one week after they did the job I noticed one of the tires started running flat. Since like many I have quite a busy schedule I was not able to make it to their shop before their closing time (based on past experience when I got to their shop before 11 am on three different Saturdays and I was turned down being told that I came too late, I figured out that even if I got to their shop 1hr before closing which is almost impossible given my schedule I would not stand a chance to get the tire repaired) so I kept inflating it myself every few days. The response I got was that I need to come have my tire during the week as they are busy. I think it never occurred to Jason that some people simply cannot afford such a flexible schedule. I am not teaching anybody about how to run their business but I am very disappointed seeing that at the peak of the season when people need to change their summer or winter tires this shop does not schedule longer business hours and having the shop open on Sundays. These guys are YOYOs they overcharged me for tires took forever to put them on and lost my lock key. The guys in the back are bohicks especially the bald kid and the owner just stood by and said that maybe some other mechanic shop lost it. I'll never buy anything here again the lineups to switch snow tires is ridiculous. My tires were tossed off to the side like garbage. They also scratched one of my rims. 4 Star average? Joke, right? Brought my car in on a busy winter's day by 9 am and was told it would be ready long before the end of the business day (7 pm). Quote: "Not a chance this will take all day." Came back at 5:15 only to be told without apology by a laughing desk clerk that they couldn't have my tires changes before another hour and a half. Took my keys and left. No way will I ever use this joint again. read more

I will never step foot back in this dump. I was horrified by the treatment and level of disrespect I was shown. I have never received such horrible customer service in my life. I sat in their waiting area for almost 2 hours however they told me it would be an hour. I went to pay and simply and politely suggested that if they are going to require more than double the time they committed to that maybe they walk out and advise their customers (me) so that I could have made other arrangements. I said it in a very low voice to not make a scene in front of the many customers standing in line. The young guy is who I was dealing with. He absolutely loses it and says "I am sick" and "two other guys called in sick" and "it is November and I am doing the best I can. That is where I stand so too bad. I am done" and storms to the back. I have seen 6 year olds act more mature. I also failed to mention that I was waiting for him to get off of the phone when this all started. He was speaking to a man by the name if Dan. He hangs up the phone and says "what an a*%hole". He finally comes back out and now I lose it. I outright told him he acted like an a*%hole and needs to obtain some customer service skills. I also told him that all of the business I sent him over the years would stop now. He apologized over and over again. I told him he could shove his apologies ... you know where. I did absolutely nothing to deserve this treatment. This guy was crying like a school girl because he was really busy. Oh woe is me. You are making money. I have already bought a set of tires from them and winter rims. I sent my boss their to buy tires. My husband and I go there every season to change our tires over. Never again!!!!!!!!! read more
