I toured probably 10 different apartment complexes before I decided on Aurora. I have not experienced any of the issues or concerns from the other people leaving negative reviews. Greg, the Assistant Manager, has been extremely helpful and caring throughout the move-in process(a month ago) and afterwards. He sold me on this place, because he gets it. Not once did he try and forcefully sell me on Aurora. He gave me the facts, answered my questions and genuinely cared about my decision. The other employees I've encountered have also been kind and helpful. I have NOT encountered a disgruntled employee here. I can't speak for everyone, but in my opinion, you would be happy and have no regrets making Aurora your new home. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - CROOKED, FILTHY, AND UNPROFESSIONAL I would give this place zero stars if I could. Save yourself the stress and the money--do not stay here. The management at Aurora Apartments is the definition of "crooked." Both Adam Leach (Property Manager) and Jawana have been completely unprofessional throughout my entire experience. They are impossible to communicate with, and whenever a problem arises, they are remarkably bad at solving it. Instead of help, expect to be hit with wrongful charges and predatory billing practices that they refuse to explain or rectify. Beyond the terrible management, the actual living conditions are stomach-churning: Hygiene: There is literally human/animal pee all over the property. It smells, it's unsanitary, and management clearly doesn't care about basic maintenance. Safety: There is a constant presence of homeless individuals loitering on the grounds, making the environment feel completely unsafe for residents. Communication: Adam and Jawana will ignore your emails and calls until it's time to charge you for something you don't owe. This is the most poorly run, unprofessional complex in Tampa. I have been a resident of Aurora Apartments for the past 4.5+ years, and while there have been various minor issues during my time here--including bugs, often non-working amenities, questionable and unexplained water bill increases, and fairly steep rent increases--the ongoing issue with my ceiling leak has been the most frustrating and unacceptable experience yet. On 09/05/24, shortly after signing my lease renewal, I discovered two large cracks in my ceiling with clear water damage near the living room fan. In a small studio-like apartment, an impact to this amount of space is significant. I reported this immediately to the leasing office, and while maintenance initially checked for active leaking from the apartment above me and assessed the issue as instead rain-related, the lack of follow-through since has been staggering. The situation worsened on 10/09/24 during Hurricane Milton, when my ceiling and sliding glass door began actively leaking. I reported this immediately. The next steps included a dehumidifier running 24/7 for several days at my expense for the electricity and disruptive repairs with no clear communication on what was being done or when it would be completed. On 11/12/24 and 11/18/24, holes were cut into my ceiling to try to determine the source of the leak, but since then, there has been no progress and little communication from the office despite my repeated attempts to get updates. While the office is friendly when I do reach out for updates (though I usually have take time to go talk to them in person because several calls and email have gone unanswered), they simply do not provide any actionable updates or solutions. For nearly three months, I have endured a cycle of inadequate communication, loud and invasive repair work, and zero resolution. As someone who works from home, the constant interruptions, lack of advance notice, and even unprofessional behavior from vendors (e.g., climbing over my balcony railing unannounced and showing up after hours without maintenance supervision) have obviously impacted my work and personal life. I am requesting immediate action from Aurora Downtown Tampa Apartments and Richmond Property Services to resolve this by providing a timeline and expediting the resolution of this issue, and providing compensation for the continuous disruption caused. Aurora Apartments markets itself as a provider of "luxury" living, but this experience has been far from that. The lack of concern for residents' comfort, safety and privacy is appalling, and I urge management to address this matter with the urgency and professionalism it deserves. I hope this review prompts corporate to intervene and ensure that appropriate solutions are provided--not just for me, but for any resident who may face similar challenges. read more

Absolute worst apartment complex I have ever lived at. Was there for 3 years. The management is awful not responsive and nickels and dimes you for regular maintenance. A shelf in my fridge broke and they charged me over $100 to fix it. Not until I reported it to the regional manager for management company it was refunded. They also have a horrible maintenance that takes forever for things to be fixed that included over a week for my dishwasher. 1 part they could've changed but took over 3 weeks. They don't care about customer service and the garbage service is worse than a joke. Highly recommend looking elsewhere!!! read more

I moved in a little over 6 months ago and I've been pretty disappointed. The place looks nice, but don't let that deceive you. The maintenance team is one of the worst I've dealt with. Nothing gets done without taking months. Since I've moved here, the hot tub has never worked, the gate on the back of the complex has been chained up because they haven't fixed it for months, I had an issue with my shower door and it took 3 months to get it fixed. The gate to the parking garage has been broken on multiple occasions and that took 3 weeks to fix. Every single repair is just so slow and never seems to last. I've never had this big of an issue with maintenance at any other complex. It's so unprofessional. The only thing that this apartment complex has going for it, is the design and the look of the place. Everything else is pretty shoddy. Landscaping is well kept and my actual unit is very nice and I'm happy with that. The gym and sauna is also very nice (but the light in the sauna has been broke since I toured the place a year ago). The biggest gripe I have is that the maintenance team needs to be completely replaced and rebuilt from the ground up. read more

Botton line: Gregory is the biggest reason we moved in The manager, whatever her name is, is rude, curt, and unapproachable. Their "resident social hour" is awkward and lame, and instead of getting to know her residents, she tried to make small talk by showing us where the bar was and said, "more food is coming"...just weird. Gregory was helping us w/simple storage door locks, but was sick...when we asked her, her response (again, she's the manager) was, "oh, I don't know what that issue was, he'll be back tomorrow" and she walked away. I suppose my response (as I am a manager for 1,400 people) would have been something like, "oh, he's out today, but let me see how I can help...". Oh well, I guess Richman Signature Properties can settle. Courtney is good if you're a male, otherwise, she ignores you. We've approached her a few times now w/basic amenity questions, and today she blatantly ignored us when we asked how to change the tv in the lobby. The other girl was helpful, but Courtney wouldn't even look up at us, and when we specifically asked if she knew, she walked away. The other front desk girl (apologize, I didn't catch her name), was actually trying, and even ran to ask Courtney. Courtney's response (someone who has been working here for some time now now) was, "I don't know". ?!?!##$...huh? How do you not know how to work the amenities in the building you work in and are supposed to sell? But as soon as a male walks in, she's all over it. Anyhow, we can tolerate the noise; we knew what we were getting when we moved in, but it can get out of control by the pool at times. Just beware, there are a lot of young college kids around. Otherwise, great location, horrible manager and agents (except Gregory), good amenities, but if you need help, you're screwed until Gregory is working. It's a shame; it's a nice place. Been living here for about 3 years and have had little to no issues so far. Just resigned a lease and needed some routine maintenance and Ricky and another gentleman were here with in a day and did a great job with everything we needed. Front office staff has always been hospitable. I had an issue about a week ago also to no fault of there own and they got it handled with in a day. Cleaning lady's also do a very good job at keeping the hallways, doors and gym glean on the daily. read more

Lived at Aurora for almost two years and had a horrible experience. My apartment was infested with ROACHES, despite keeping it insanely clean. The maintenance team and management blamed my neighbors (but never did anything about it). After a year of work orders, the roaches are still there!! DISGUSTING DO NOT MOVE HERE! read more

Update: Kara are arson had a car stolen from the parking garage: look elsewhere. I lived at Aurora for 3 years. This property and the managment outside of Greg does not care about its residents. During my time at Aurora: 1) I had many packages stolen, Managment does not care. 2) Dog crap continues to be a problem in stairwells. 3) Maintenance schedules mandated entrys. I am a night shift worker and they continued to wake me up for routine maintence and Carol would not re-schedule appointments on nights I worked. Currently, I have filed harrassment complaint with Tampa and the fair housing boards of Tampa Bay. I terminated my lease a month early after being harrassed into managment appointed maintenece times and days after working 13 hour shifts. 4) The scheduled "resident events" Staff have been known to not even show up for it time. Events are a joke! They did not use to be. 5) The grills and firpits seldom work. Managment has been known to state "parts are on order." Many "parts" take weeks to fix. Heck, the hot tub was down for 2 months. 6) Security guards are creepy and threatening. They have followed my friends wife back to their apartment after finding him a creep they did not want to tell him where she lived. It caused problems. 7) Good luck having friends over the new 2 person limit for the pool. It is pathetic. Parking for friends is non-exhistant. 8) Cars are being hit in the garage, totaled. I would stay away, they only thing good there as far as staff Is Greg at the fromt desk. I will conclude with this, This review will not go away. Contact me for any details. My husband and I moved in a month ago. Love the location. While some reviews I read said the walls are thin, I don't experience that kind of noise. So far, I don't really hear the neighbors beside me or below me. I do hear the small child's feet upstairs jumping around every night. It usually stops by 8 PM (guessing bedtime) and while we hear it, it hasn't detracted from our daily living here. There were minor discrepancies that needed corrected right after our move in, but they were corrected in a timely manner and satisfactorily. I would recommend this place to others. read more

Just wanted to say how much we like living at Aurora. We are in our second year here and we are very Happy. If we have any problems our Manager Gregory Laursen is on it immediately! My grandson lives here, moved in Nov 2017. Visited this last weekend and couldn't believe how paper thin the walls are in his unit. You can hear neighbors talking (not yelling just simply talking), dogs barking and constant running in the hall ways. The builders should have opted for more sound proofing, incredible how much you can hear from your neighbors. His upstairs neighbor has zero consideration for the people living below them, very hard walking throughout the night and early the next morning. There were even young children running about unsupervised through the hall ways and playing on the elevators. A letter needs to go out about common courtesies to the residents. My grandson has referred friends and school mates which have signed leases at the Aurora and no one has contacted him about a referral credit or even just a simple "thank you". We have spoken to his next door neighbor and she experienced the exact same thing, seems that management is falling behind. Which is very upsetting and not a great first-time apartment experience for my grandson. Also, has a lot of trouble parking because of a Lightening hockey game. There are only about 8 or 9 spots in the Aurora garage for guests, I've never seen a spot empty when visiting on weekends. That's downtown I guess. read more

We moved in about a month ago and couldn't be happier. We searched many apartments and by far the facilities, location, beauty and the staff most of all sold us. Jaide and jasmine are the best and have made our transition from NJ to Tampa seamless. The facilities, the apartments, and the options are top notch. The staff however is what sold is. The attention to detail, the service and the always happy to help with a smile on attitude is the best. We are so glad we are at the Aurora and look forward to enjoying a lot more time at our Florida home. read more

Apartment shoppers beware.. Aurora's Facebook reviews are misleading.. the last review was from 7 months ago. I wrote a review and it was deleted.. the morale here is terrible. Pool still only open a few hours on Mon, Wed and Fri only because they claim they don't have enough staff. Hot tub and grills still closed. Other apartments in downtown are much better and open and truly care about their residents even with Covid restrictions.... I tried to get out of my lease but of course $$$ is the bottom line. Look elsewhere.. or pay a lot of money for a lot of emails that end "sorry for the inconvenience " when something is closed or broken. Need new management. read more
