Aurora Birth offers independent childbirth education classes in San Leandro, providing a supportive space for expectant couples to come together and build community as new families. The 6-week, 15-hour series prepares mom and partner for an empowered birth experience, and is appropriate for those birthing at home, in the hospital, or at a birth center. Victoria is also a birth doula, committed to meeting you where you are and supporting the birth experience that you envision and desire. She will nurture you as you journey into motherhood, and treat you with the respect and care that all birthing mothers deserve.

Meet the Business Owner: Victoria P.

I am a certified doula and childbirth educator serving the East Bay. It's been a journey to get here! I graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a B.A. in History, and later earned my Masters in Education at Stanford and began teaching high school. And that's when Aurora changed everything! I loved being pregnant, and began to read voraciously about birth and child rearing. I was officially hooked! I birthed my baby at home with a midwife, and was amazed by the intensity of the experience of birth. I felt so powerful, feeling how amazing it is to bring forth new life, to feel such a deep and profound love that gave me new eyes with which to see the world. I felt a new found respect for women and mothers. I became inspired and in awe of birth as a rite of passage for women. I am grateful for being called to this work, and feel honored and privileged to be a part of a woman and family's journey into parenthood, whether it be as an educator or doula.
