She was gentle and good in communication. She told me exactly what she was doing etc. Side Note- They offer drinks if you need them after your tests. Unfortunately, after reflecting on my experience, I feel people deserve to know what happened. I was initially told I had Stage I breast cancer, and Baptist Health Lynn had my MRI and was ready to schedule my surgery with Dr. Pestana. Before moving forward, I decided to get a second opinion at Miami Cancer Institute. Their team carefully reviewed the same MRI and identified suspicious lymph nodes that had not been addressed. A lymph node biopsy confirmed that my cancer had spread to my lymph nodes, changing my diagnosis to Stage II breast cancer. Because of that, I canceled my surgery at Lynn and continued my treatment at Miami Cancer Institute. Looking back, I can't help but wonder what would have happened if I had not sought a second opinion. It changed my treatment plan completely. I could say much more about my experience, but I'll leave it at that. Based on my personal experience, I would not choose this facility again and strongly encourage anyone facing a serious diagnosis to seek a second opinion before making treatment decisions.
