TW: ROACHES. My…read morenail tech was great but unfortunately, this place is disgusting. While I was getting my pedicure, a large brown roach crawled across the platform, I said to my nail tech: "do you think we should let the receptionist know about the visitor?" She laughed nervously and said "it's disapppeared now we will handle that when you get out of the chair." The lack of urgency and complacency was concerning to me, it signals to me that they have those large roaches often and may or may not be doing anything about it. To make matters worse I looked to their waxing room, and there was another large roach laying dead on its back. In addition to that, a health inspector walked into the salon as I was leaving. This may be routine, but it did raise additional red flags, considering the roaches. Overall, the pedicure itself is mediocre, nothing to write home about. The foot massage was great! Probably the best part of the pedicure. Joyce did great on that. After reviewing their price menu, I was surcharge an additional $10 on the $55 pedicure (making my total $65) for some inexplicable reason. Would I return or recommend this place? Not at all. The greatest irony is on the door of the salon, the logo reads: "Sanitary and safe" that should've been the first sign there for me!

The owner said only "frequent customers" avoid the extra fees, which says a lot about how they treat everyone else. They also charge an additional fee if you pay with a credit card, which basically pushes you to Zelle. That alone is a red flag. I've gone three times: first visit was fine, second was bad, third was the worst. Staff were arguing in their language in front of customers, using profanity and discussing money issues. It's supposed to be a relaxing place, not somewhere to listen to their drama. I won't be returning.

I'd suggest making an appointment closer to and on weekends. This 'new' location is in a quaint little plaza and close enough to a bunch of trendy restaurants. I was greeted on entrance and immediately noticed the wonderful Orchids all over the store (for sale too). The shop itself isn't fancy and could definitely use some updating but staff are friendly, bowls are lined, equipment sterilized and they do a good job. They do a classic French manicure that though it recently started trending elsewhere they have been doing for years. I'm not sure how they are on nail art but head on over for a good manicure and pedicure. Live & Love.

I'm specifically referring to: cleaning cuticals, filing own hard skin around the nail, and painting without bubbles up to the cutilcle. However, they are not the salon to go to if you want intricate and original nail art or anything other than gel. Majority of the techs are Russian and not too chatty. I don't mind this at all, but if you are uncomfortable with people speaking a foreign language around you...no further comment. They used to be in the Trini Salon, they are now in a stand alone salon up the road. My only complaint about the venue change is now it feels a bit less upscale. They used to wear all white scrub like outfits with gloves. Now they wear jeans, sneakers and tee shirts. It's not a big deal, but they are not cheap and part of the experience was feeling that you were working with strict professionals. Also the cell service is awful, I'm sure there's wifi but the password isnt posted which is something they can def do. Overall, it's not glamorous but they do a great job, you get what you pay for service wise! In regard to Covid, there are some employees who wear beaded masks (they even sell them).
