My partner and I were first time homebuyers and didn't know anything about the process. I met with Alyssa and she walked me through the basics in a way that I could easily understand. She got us set up with the Compass app so we could search for homes through the app and let her know ones we were interested in. For every home, she followed up with the seller's realtor to get the status of the home. She went with us to open houses or set up private showings. It's such a big purchase, and having someone knowledgeable about what to look out for was super helpful. She let us know pros and cons for the homes we looked at and it really helped us make a decision. Once we found a house we loved, she put in the offer and took charge from there, which I appreciated. She explained the steps in escrow and kept us updated along the way. We had to counter offer and her advice on was probably what got our offer accepted! Alyssa helped set up the home inspections, plus contractor inspections to get quotes for repairs. I didn't have any experience with this, so being able to rely on her and her trusted contacts was invaluable. The closing process was very smooth and we ended up with a great house. The whole Ito Orio group were great throughout the entire journey - always sending updates, getting signatures, communicating with all the parties, everything was seamless. They all made the process super easy and I'm especially thankful to have had Alyssa's guidance during the process.

My husband and I initially were looking on our own and were having such a difficult time due to the craziness of the housing market recently. Once we were connected with Scott, everything was less stressful and he was able to help us navigate the home-buying process from start to finish. My husband and I also are not originally from the South Bay area so having someone who grew up here and is familiar with the area was extremely helpful! Communication: Easy peasy! Scott was always easy to reach and promptly replied if any questions came up. Expertise: Scott was able to answer any questions that we came up with based on his knowledge and previous experience. He was able to clearly explain the process and paperwork to us non-real estate folk and provided us with insight throughout the entire process. Overall, we had a great experience working with Scott! He is so friendly, easy to work with, and gets the job done! We honestly do not know if we would be able to have purchased a home without his assistance. We highly recommend working with Scott!!! Thank you so much, Scott and the Ito Orio group!

They were always available and accommodating when it came to showings and open houses. What we appreciated most was their honest and insightful opinions about the properties we toured -- details that only experienced realtors would notice, and things you might never even consider as a first-time home buyer. They are always available to hop on a call and quickly respond to texts for any question (trust me we had a lot). It's just a fact that the low barrier to entry makes a lot of realtors a dime-a-dozen. This is especially true in hot areas where demand outpaces supply. It's the absolute truest in an area like South Bay (the one true South Bay; go home Silicon Valley, you're drunk), where houses get snatched up in an instant, and buyers are willing to do insane stuff to get their offers accepted. In markets like this, a lot of buyers may ask, "Why would I even need a realtor?" Let me tell you why: because the needle-in-a-haystack realtors like Jack Mangin make even the most chaotic and fast-paced market feel like a leisurely browse through a farmers market. I found Jack on Yelp, and he was the first realtor to call me back immediately. That never changed throughout our buying process. Jack is savvy in every respect, and truly listened to our priorities. He predicted issues and took proactive approaches to prevent those issues from becoming problems for us. He stayed positive and optimistic--even when I changed my mind a million times and couldn't decide what I cared about. Jack is thorough, personable, candid, smart, reliable, and works his butt off for his clients. We were dealing with a purchase from out-of-state, so our situation had all sorts of inconveniences he had to work around--flights, time differences, schedule coordinating. He did it all with a smile and never faltered in any part of the process. He kept things moving so that things stayed smooth--nothing was ever a rush on our end, and we were never kept waiting on anything. He still checks in with us even though we closed over three months ago. He's a solid 100, and I cannot recommend him enough. Jack is our buddy for life now!

We trusted Maggie because of how well she took care of us the first time. From the start, Maggie worked around our tight relocation deadline, and mapped out a clear timeline all the way from moving out to listing and selling our home. I'd be remiss to not mention Jaime, who was such an asset in getting our house prepped for the market as well. Maggie and her team were incredibly communicative and responsive, keeping us informed every step of the way, even if it was through a late night call (planned, of course). There was a point we found it tricky navigating our buyer's requests, but Maggie guided us through the process with strategy and sharp thinking. Throughout the process, we understood our options and felt confident in every decision. Thanks to her expertise, we walked away with the best possible outcome, both financially and on track with our timeline, and the whole process felt far less stressful than it could have been. It's rare to find an agent you trust enough to work with twice, but Maggie made it an easy choice both times. If you're looking for an agent who will genuinely look out for your best interests, we'd recommend Maggie and her team without hesitation, whether you're buying or selling.
