We stayed here one night in June 2018. We were not given a warm welcome by the male owner. He never smiled. He was not well groomed. He showed us our room and gave us a map and some restaurant suggestions.
The home is clean. You can hear everything from room to room and the floor creaks due to its age.
In the morning, the male host did not show us a breakfast menu. He said breakfast was a typical Irish breakfast and made it for us. There were store bought breads on a self serve table. There were processed cheese slices in plastic wrappers (Think--Kraft American Cheese Slices). The warm breakfast was good, but we would rather have had the vegetarian option that we later saw on a menu on a nearby table.
There is a driveway that can fit four cars. It looks like the owners take two of the four spots. It is a 15 minute walk to town center. There are restaurants within a 10 minute walk.
The low rating is due to the poor hospitality and breakfast (store bought breads and Kraft singles cheese). read more
