They lied to my face 3 times at the Audiofest Montreal show as a form of discrimination against me…read more The only booth out of all the booths of the show that did that to me. After their Revox North America guy gave a presentation about tape recorded music, claiming it provided better sound and claiming it included a singer talking to us as if it's real life, he then asked the audience if they wanted to listen to more music. All I did was compliment the sound of the KEF Blade speakers they played the tape on and ask for a sample with drums on it to be able to correctly judge those speakers as a drummer (I am a recorded drummer in multiple bands), and they treated me like I committed a crime! I asked every booth in the conference for that and they all treated me with respect and agreed to play music with drums in it, including booths with very expensive $60,000+ speakers (more expensive than the KEF Blade 1s). They first told me they didn't have any Jazz recordings with drums, which I understood, but then some guy in the room pointed out to me they had a tape with the White Stripes on it, who do have drums in their music. When I asked them to play it (I really just needed 1 minute), suddenly a different guy who was an Audiophile Experts dealer vetoed the revox guy who told us we could hear more music, and claimed he couldn't play the second tape because the next demo was in 15 minutes, which didn't make sense as I only needed 1 minute and all other booths at the show respectfully agreed to play more stuff when asked. I paid a ticket for the Audiofest show, so I have a right 100% to learn more about the speakers that I want to discover with more music. His veto action felt like personal discrimination. I told the revox guy that the Audiophile Experts dealer dude just made him look like a liar, so he told me to come back at 5pm to listen to that White Stripes tape (though he first laughed a weird disrespectful laugh, which was very unprofessional). I came back at 5pm, and when I reminded the revox guy of his promise to me, some 3rd Audiophile Experts dude lied again, telling me they couldn't play it even though they gave me their word, meaning they were literal liars acting like they're not real men of their words, yet crooks. I told them that's who they were with me as an objective 100% true fact, and then suddenly the revox guy yelled at me very rudely and asked me to be silent and enjoy the f ' ing music (his words) even though they treated me without respect by lying twice to me, without any sympathy for my mistreatment. I sat down waiting for the music to play, and suddenly the 1st Audiophile Experts dealer that lied the first time told me to leave. So, they lied for the 3rd time breaking the last word of the revox guy yet again. I told him the revox guy told me to stay. He discriminated against me as if I'm like a peasant lower-level person who doesn't deserve truthful respectful treatment or keeping their words with me, asking me to leave. Discrimination is never acceptable because it means this business rises at the expense of pushing people like me down, which is a form of theft. I call for the Canadian Government to close this business immediately, and close all other similar businesses if any exist. I call for the American Government to close the Revox North America unit that is based in Brooklyn, New York, immediately because their guy lied and treated me with discrimination as well. P.S. I don't trust anything the revox guy or Audiophile Experts guys said anymore about tape recordings. I think it's just a lie to cheat people of extra money when in fact digital recordings do get converted to analog just before they are played on speakers. Do not fall for revox products. They're garbage if they mistreat people like me to get ahead. All of those people who acted as if they're "important" are not important at all because the world is meritocracy and they lose merit if they don't keep their word and lie repeatedly.

Highly recommended. Very knowledgeable team and nice people to deal with. Thanks Renaud and Stacy.read more

It was subsequently installed by one of their technicians. The first issue we encountered was their double charging my VISA account for the purchase, the charges being made several months apart! They did not make it easy to have the double charge reversed although I gave them all the details they needed to affect the reversal. It took them much too long, putting unnecessary stress on me. As a senior couple, we were having difficulty hearing the voice clearly when watching regular TV programming. This model has a feature called "clear voice" as well as a feature called "surround sound". After months of use, we found that the "surround sound" feature overpowered the "clear voice" feature rendering it totally ineffective. However, we do not know if the "surround sound" feature can be disabled. We are now at the second issue. I thought it normal and practical to call the vendor, Environment, and seek help. So, this week I called on Wednesday, spoke to an employee, explained the problem, and was asked to leave a message and a service person would call me the next day. I repeated the process, with the same no results on the second day and then called again on the third day. Each day, a different employee at Environment answered my call. By the third call I was frustrated and agitated so, when the employee gave me the same "story" I was not as calm as on the previous days and left the same message. Not fifteen minutes later, I received a call back from a rude, irritated person who identified himself as Dave Smith who I knew to be the owner of Environment based on the fact that we had been cordial neighbours on the same street for over 30 years. I was shocked and appalled to be spoken to like that, chewed out and then to be told "and don't ever call back" and hanging up. Very mature and business like. Would you deal with such a store when there are so many others available in Montreal?
