Ultimately I decided I wasn't interested and John completely understood. Fast forward a few weeks and I emailed John asking if that vehicle was still available. Unfortunately it had been sold but I continued to work with John to ultimately purchase a certified pre-owned Volvo. I found Portland Volvo to be relaxed and not high pressure. They really want you to find the vehicle that's best for you. Because of schedules, my husband and I ultimately worked with John via email for about a week while the car was being detailed, we finalized the deal that Friday, traded in our car and left with a practically new Volvo. We'll be returning for maintenance, enhancements and future upgrades!

When I went to purchase the vehicle, Michael P gave me a contract that was 2500 more than the online price. They then said that if you click through and look the online price includes a "lease discount". This dealership uses shady tactics. When I pointed out this is a bait and switch and borderline illegal they were defensive and would not honor the clear price listed online. Pic is below of the online price they wouldn't honor. I had my car serviced and tires rotated at the appropriate times by a reputable local Subaru shop whom I trust completely. Most of my driving is in town. Subaru was willing to cover the cost of 2 of my tires but not all 4 (which seems to suggest Pape Subaru also feels the tires are substandard) I feel Subaru is putting substandard tires on out of the factory so please be aware of this when purchasing a new vehicle from Pape Subaru. The service department recommended a middle of the road Yokohama tire with a life expectancy of 30-50k. You would think this would be the standard tire to begin with. It's a bummer because I am now putting the same substandard tires on my car because in 9 months I will be done with my lease.

The staff there simply could not have been nicer nor more accommodating. Glen Reed, the service director, set us up with a new loaner SUV and had us on our way in no time. They diagnosed the problem and we picked up our car on our way home. I can't say enough about how Glen and the others treated us. It's for this reason we will be driving just under two hours up to Scarborough, ME to buy our next Acura from this wonderful business. You should buy your next car from them too. Honda. Only Hondas…read more Ever since I bought my first Honda, I have come to Pip Pro in Windham Maine. I think we're heading into my third decade with them. Now I buy only Hondas because I know that the car will be serviced very well... (I tend to purchase used cars and keep them about 10 years or as close to 300,000 miles as possible!) This great father and son team work only on Hondas, exclusively, and do a such great job. They are honest, efficient, fair, and professionally precise. I'm actually hesitant to leave a great review because I don't want them to get so busy they can't fix my car! The garage may not be the fanciest but that's not what they are here for. They keep it comfortable for people who are waiting. And I appreciate them so much. I always bring them a special little snack !
