My dad and brother have been going to this place for a little bit now, and they do a good job on them every time, so I've recently started going here as well. Being a woman with short hair, I was skeptical as to how well of a job they'd do on me, but one of the younger barbers who works there (unfortunately I don't remember his name) does SUCH a fantastic job on me! He's friendly and talkative and told me that he used to work at Gene Jaurez Salon and Spa, which happens to be where my mom goes to get her hair done, so I know that they do a good job there as well. They work on men and women over there so he had past experience working on women and still managed to give me a short yet feminine cut. He also trimmed my eyebrows for me and gave them a natural looking arch, of which I was lack on my own naturally, and I absolutely loved how they turned out. He did a better job on my eyebrows than some salons that specialize in it have done on me! The barber shop is clean with a sporty vibe and TV entertainment, and they are decently priced as well. They always charge me less than their menu pricing when I come in just to get my sides shaved, which I appreciate. read more

Get a great manly haircut, a fishing license, people's opinions on hot fishing spots and the ear of the mayor all in one stop. I used to live in Northgate before moving up to Edmonds and my options for getting a haircut locally were places like SuperCuts and Great Clips, both of which suck. I rarely got the same person twice and they usually spoke English so poorly that trying to communicate what I wanted in a haircut required me to bring in photos of my last good haircut and ask them to do the same. Then I moved to Edmonds and saw Fred's Cut & Style across the street and decided to try them out. Straight up, Auda has been cutting my hair now for 9 years. Nine!!! First, he remembered my name AND he remembered how I liked to have my hair cut. After a couple of times, I never had to tell him again and it has been perfect ever since. He's a genuine, honest, conscientious person who is sincerely in tune with his customers as people first. As a neighborhood barber, he's the real thing, cutting people's hair for a looooong time. I hope he doesn't mind me saying so, but before moving here, he was cutting hair in Iraq, and then after he escaped Iraq, he had customers even in the refugee camps. I think the guy could set up his barber pole on the moon and the Monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey would show up (without an appointment, of course)! Seriously, if you are looking for the real deal in a barber, he's your man. And I didn't even mention that I pay significantly less for a hair cut from Auda than I would from a SuperCuts or Great Clips, and I get WAY better service and results. Plus, I get an extra good feeling knowing that I'm supporting an honest local small business that really deserves my money. read more

Great first experience getting my haircut here. First off, Auda was very accomodating on numerous fronts, including a channel change on the TV so that my young son could watch something engaging, enriching and kid friendly. Next, my son's haircut came after mine. Both our heads are pounds lighter, but my heart is much brighter thanks to Auda's service. Thumbs up for Fred's Cut and Style. Haider can do a good/great/grand fade/taper. I gave horrible instructions on what I wanted, I went with a fade with a 2 on top and 1 on the sides and he blended it all together on the money, i feel like a million bucks. Did a really good job and it was only $15, finally found a place I can trust for a great cut. Easy to find, in and out in 25 minutes. Straight up Awesome. read more

So I'm from the Bay Area and am very picky about fades. I had a few very bad fades once I transferred to the area. I looked on yelp and found Fred. Well, not really Fred. I found Auda. Very professional, skilled, and old school barber. No complaints. This guy remembers your name the first time you come in. If I think about it he is the first friend I made when I moved to the Puget Sound. Wouldn't have it any other way, he knows how to cut hair and truly a great guy. So I've been going around checking out different barbershops for good haircuts and unless you're looking to pay $35 for a simple haircut, this place is definitely a good place to go. The people there are awesome, and the haircut I received was one of my favorite cuts ever. I'm supper picky about my hair and how I like it cut that not many people end up cutting it right. Normally I find myself explaining over and over how I like my hair to be cut and they always end up messing it up. I came into this place after taking a look at their yelp reviews and got greeted right away. The guy that cut my hair, sorry, forgot his name, but the latino guy really did a amazing job on my hair. I said a few words as to how I'd like my haircut and he knew right away how to do it. I have a good feeling that I'm done looking for a new barber and this is the place I'll be going to for a very long time. I've gone here three times now. Each time it has been a different barber. Either the main guy or his assistant or his out of country replacement. Every time it has been a wonderful haircut. Which is odd because most places I go to in the puget sound give me the worst haircut i've ever had. Auda is the man! I've been gotten lined up and cut by him for years now. Great price, great guy. He fades you up like a barber in the hood or something like that. He's just got a nack for cutting hair and makin your head look real proper. just make sure you make an appointment first, lots of people get cut by the dude so he has to fit you in, its worth it though.
