This company has sadly gone down hill over the last couple of years. They used to be an honest trust-worthy company, but now they are outsourcing their auctions to any bozo that has a garage and a pile of junk. In the past you could trust this company to give a honest description of the item being sold. Now I would not recommend buying anything from this company's site. And if you have any problems with their "auction partners" don't expect any correspondence from Auction Masters, there won't be any. Bought a chair and a rug at their NEW office and household auction. The base of the chair was broken to where the chair was clearly crooked. When looking at the picture they posted they posed the chair at an angle that you couldn't seen that it was broken. You have to pay for the items before you see them and I was stuck. When I complained, Sharon told me that I should have did an inspection before I bid on it. When I replied that the items were listed as new, she said the policy is "Buyer Beware". My advice, Be Aware of this rip off and stay away! read more

Contrary to others' reviews, this is actually a very honest business, and I have had many years of positive experiences here. They have been in business for over 30 years and have a very loyal following. What the other reviewers don't seem to understand is that this is an AUCTION company. It's not Target. Every single auction has an inspection time for you to come in and view all of the items before you bid. Larry M. stated that you have to pay for the items before you see them; he is incorrect. He just didn't come to inspection. If you are bidding by looking at a picture only, as Anne L. and Larry M. sound like they were, then the policy is buyer beware, as clearly stated in their terms! What a garbage dump. I don't know why all the reviews are "currently not recommended". We all agree on what a rip off this place is. Sharon is the rudest person I've ever had the displeasure of working with. I told her I would be 15 minutes late, and she started screaming at me on the phone. When I got there, she was treating the employees even worse. We were left to our own devices to try and sift through piles of junk to find the bookcase we bought, and when we found it we couldn't believe the horrible condition it was in--nothing like the picture. Just participated in my second auction with Auction Masters after having issues with them putting a poor description on the first auction item that I bought. Thought I would give them another try. I bid on a sink and counter and won the bid. I showed up to pick up my item and paid for it, everything was going smoothly. Went to find the item with one of their workers and we could not find it. An Auction Masters employee got involved and they could not find it, then they went behind closed doors where I saw them having a lengthy discussion about my item. Then they came out and said "Sorry, we can't find your item, we will give you your money back" Their attitude was we do not care, tough luck! I spent a lot of time researching and then bidding on this item, I took 2 hours of my time and gas to pick the item up and they did not have it, nor did they care about it at all. Not sure what they did with the item but the way they were having their discussion it appeared that they knew what happened with it but were not going to tell me. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Never again Auction Masters, never again! read more

I cannot say enough how much I appreciate Greg, Jason, Paul and all of the Auction Masters team! I owned and operated a small business for 9 years and was forced to make the decision to close my business because of Covid's restrictions on large scale events as that devastated my income potential. I reached out to 4 different auction houses when I was notified that the space I had been leasing was rented and I had less than a month to complete the process from start to finish. A couple of the places didn't respond to me, one responded saying they couldn't work with the timeline, but Greg from Auction Masters was AMAZING and said he wanted to help me and they would make it work! One of the items I bought was "Stolen" and not available for pick up. I bid, show up, pay cash, do everything properly and they can not take the simple step of securing the items they have sold. They did not make this right for the customer. My time and diesel driving was based on expectation they would deliver the products displayed. They did not. I wasted my time and diesel doing business with this company. The other items were as displayed, including the ones I bought to go with the item they bait and switched me with. I would give no stars if that was an option. Been buying all over US for over 6 years. Auction Masters advertised an online auction, "Mall of America". I registered online to bid and spent days researching. No emails came through about my registration. Auction closes today, 1/28. I wasn't able to log on to website, message says to call Administrator. Spent 30 min trying to reach Sharon, which I finally was able to. She did everything to discourage me from bidding since I'm in Florida from how am I to pick up the goods, how I will pick up goods, and how I will pick up goods. After explaining 3 different scenarios on how it would be picked up, she questioned how it would be paid for (wire transfer or overnight cashiers check). Finally told her I'm not going to bid and will remove them from my list of auction sites. What a way to run a business. Very poor communication. Sharon is very argumentative. read more

To know Auction Masters is to love Auction Master and this is very important. Auction Masters is an auction house that runs almost all of their auctions online. They are strict with their rules but they are also very clear with their rules. The issues that people have with them is when people decide that they should not have to abide by the rules. The pick up dates are always clearly stated, the inspection dates are clearly stated (always inspect so that you know the condition). This is an auction website. It is free to register and very easy to place bids. You look through the online auction and bid or watch things you like. Other reviewers recommend visiting during the inspection hours to ensure that your product is as stated, which would prevent many of the negative reviews of people receiving items that they don't like. The warehouse in Osseo doesn't look like much from the outside. But the inside is very organized on shelves with items numbered in order for quick reference. After you place your bids, you will get email updates if someone places a higher bid than you. Once the auction ends, you will get an invoice via email with the items you won, the final cost, and the information for pick-up. Oftentimes, when I leave work and head over to pick up my items, I find that I might arrive a bit later than the cut-off time. This has happened two times to me, so I simply called and explained that I am on my way, but might arrive a bit late. The person was very respectful and cordial to me. She understood that traffic might make me late. You go to into the warehouse and give the person at the payment desk either your invoice or bidder number. They prefer cash or check. They will accept a credit card, but I believe there might be a fee for this as they are trying to keep costs low. I have won many useful items. Picked up some stuff for a friend and was oddly surprised bc I anticipated this would be a sketchy place/situation/ppl and it was not. While the pickup was not nearby (Ramsey, MN), I found it to be a clean transaction and was really impressed with what he got. For example, 4 lamps that I found on Amazon/Overstock for about $300--my friend paid $40 and they were brand new/in package. They do take cards but they add 3% on for that. If you want to pay with a check, you'll need to get it preapproved with them. So, just bring cash. read more

Have been buying from Auction Masters for years. Bidding experience is great. Inspection process is recommended; they allow you plenty of time for inspecting items (inspection location/dates/times are clearly posted on the website listings) They have been very accommodating when larger lots have been purchased as far as load out times. Payment terms are clearly stated on their website for each auction. Have dealt with both Sharon and Jason on payment/removal and they have been great. If the listing says bring help to load items then bring help to load the items (the phrase means exactly what it says) I think they do a great job with their onsite and offsite auctions. read more

Purchased a freezer that was described as working, runs and cools down. When I picked it up I noticed that it didn't have a door seal so I asked for my money back but without any luck. I had a repair guy look at it and the compressor it also junk. It runs but does not cool at all! It is almost like being scammed out of $500 and then paying to get rid of it becuase it has no value. Not very happy with my experience. The bidding process was easy and they do a nice job with their web site. I was disappointed when I went to pick up my item. The item I won was gone and I was given a different item that did match exactly my original item. When I inquired about an item that was closer to my originsl item and asked what the process wasif that one wasn't picked up (it was near the end of the day) the person collecting the paymemts wouldn't give me a possible option, in fact she didn't even attempt an apology. BUYER BEWARE!! This auction house owned by Sharon is one of the shadiest ones I have come across. They take pictures of new boxes and do not tell you that some boxes do not contain complete products. Just picked up two blenders, both of which were obviously returned items - one blender has missing parts from box. Also, bought two sets of sheets as one item. They looked new, however, when opened, was missing the flat sheet on one. So I have 1 1/2 sets of sheets. When I complained, Sharon said you have to inspect - they don't. However, the pictures they take look like it's new. She said they can't inspect every item - which I understand, but when I was there to inspect, they do not like you to open every item. Sharon was very rude and argumentative when asked why the items are represented as new in the pictures. When I said I would complain to somebody and spread the word about how dishonest they were she said, "Go ahead - spread it everywhere - I don't care. I've been in business 30 years and I'm still doing fine." If you are going to buy anything from this auction house, I would suggest you always do an inspection and open every package to see if it is complete even if they grumble at you and try to hurry you along. Also, if there is something of higher value you would like to purchase, take a picture of it as you inspect to make sure parts of it don't "disappear". Be very careful!! read more

You go to inspect your items on the inspection day the lot looked good. I bid and won the big auction lot I wanted. Then I showed up early on the pickup day and had to pay for my items first then went to gather my $500.00 big auction lot that I had seen in person on the inspection day and was also in the auction photos. All the good items worth anything were missing only the garbage was still there. They said they are not responsible and that I should have inspected my lot first. I replied I did inspect my lot in person on the inspection day but all the things I saw in the lot worth buying are now missing. They refused to refund the $500.00 cash I had just handed them for the missing items and said I was responsible not them. Absolute robbery you would rather fall into a nest of Rabid Skunks then deal with these criminals. K bid is good for 20 years and the one time an item was gone they K Bid refunded my money rite away and kept apologizing.
