While staying in Vinsobres, we noticed that this bistrot was full every night. One night after having another reservation fall through, I called to see if we could get in. They were fully booked, but if I came right now, they would put a table together for the two of us. What a remarkable experience, the food, the service and being able to sit outside and enjoy all the South of France has to offer. Meghan, the co-owner is charming, friendly and helpful. It appears she runs the place efficiently, while her husband, Thomas takes care of the back of the house. There is a daily chalk board with the evenings offerings-typically 4 selections. I found the lamb saddle exceptionally well seasoned, tender and delicious. The tuna was also phenomenal. The duck breast was divine. Portions are large and come with a starch (potatoes), salad and fruit. House wine is served. And this place is quite affordable. I paid less here and found the food better than several of the Michelin Guides recommendations we tried. There are three outside dining areas, covered and amongst some plane trees. The setting is wonderful, Vinsobres is quiet. So this is the place to eat when anywhere nearby. I can't wait to come back and have another really fine meal here. Well done and best wishes for continued success. read more
