Very pleasant reception by the warm staff. The restaurant itself reflects this atmosphere with cosy tables, art on the walls and a funny picture in the men's room.
The cooking is good and good value for the price. That's how we ended up here as the guide Michelin agrees and awarded the comte with a bib gourmand (good cooking under 40€).
As entrée I chose King Crab with Apple coulis. The sour notes of the apple balanced the fattiness of the crab mixture and accentuated its sweetness. The filet pur came with bone marrow. A very nice surprise and delicious. La tarte au pomme was warm, with cold ice cream and chantilly with calvados flavour I think. So, classics done well with modern twists: how can't you like that?
Just two remarks. The wine cellar needs to be restocked as we had to go to our third or fourth choice of bottle. Also, the grand menu bib gourmand is not available on Mondays but that's not written anywhere, so that was a bit disappointing.
Definitely worth visiting when you are in the neighbourhood. read more
