tired, hungry after a day on the water, this casual bistro a short walk from buddy's flat in old…read moretown was ideal. and gotta say we had a most excellent dinner of socca (chickpea flatbread) topped with marinated roast beets and chèvre chaud. then a first taste of delicious tarte aux blettes - a pie made of swiss chard, cream, gruyère de comté, ham and pinenuts - all washed down with a memorable Crémant de Limoux, a sparkling wine from sud de france (said to pre-date champagne). great food, drink & sounds of rock française among some tall, tanned and lovelies sure gave us a second wind for another late night. yup, as good as it gets.
