It's also not over sugared and not filling. It's really fresh. - The fig mille-feuilles is really out of the bitten tracks : in the middle of it there is a fig pate de coing style which is surprising and perfectly executed (not chewy or sticky) but melting. You' ve got the feeling that you're eating fruit. - They create deserts based on seasonal fruits. - If you insist a bit the waitress will be able to recommend you their specialities (the Mille feuilles is one of them) To be improved : - It's a detail (but the devil is in the details!) : the front window shop is cheap. Even if the store front is nice (colored cakes & pastries perfectly aligned) the mix between pink fushia and brown is visually awfull. - The staff could be a little bit warmer

However, it's on the pricier side of what I experienced in Paris. Their croissants were the best I tried during my trip and I really can't recommend this place enough, especially for their taste, quality, and variety. ___________________ Wait (5/5) - I went early in the morning and it was empty. Ambience (5/5) - Feels like a very high end bakery. I wasn't expecting it to be so fancy and well laid out but it's quite nice. Service (5/5) - The staff was nice and spoke more than enough English to explain their selection and help me with my order. Food (5/5) - Their croissant is bigger than most I tried and also the most delicious. The crust was flaky and had layers while the inside felt like its own soft puff pastry. I tried their "Kashmir" cake (I think that's what it was called) and that was simply delicious. All their cakes look amazing! Price (4/5) - Their food is definitely amazing but on the pricier side of what I had in Paris.

I got the religieuse au caramel buerre salée, which was incredible. However, it's difficult to finish a whole pâtisserie by yourself. I think I'll have to go back to Aux Péchés Normandes, which also has really good pâtisseries and compare the taste, because it's definitely cheaper there. I don't know if it's just me, but the selection seems a little worse for wear this time around. The pastries don't look as delectable as they did before. =/ Today, I got a baguette aux sesames (1.70€), since it is also for bread. I've never had a baguette aux sesames before, but I couldn't resist because it smelled so good. :) It also tasted pretty great.

It moved super quickly though and within 10-15 minutes I had my crookie and left. They have so many amazing other desserts. This place is definitely on the higher priced side of pastries I've seen. The crookie was 5.9 euros for takeaway and it's a bit more expensive if you decide to eat it there. It was so warm and flaky. The chocolate was ooey gooey and it was absolutely delicious. It lived up to the hype and I will be back for sure!

The line works differently in Paris. The takeaway line is STRICTLY for takeout. If you want to dine in, grab an empty table, and a server will come to you. Let's be a polite traveler. The pastry was DELICIOUS as we ordered CROISSANT, STRAWBERRY TART, and SPINACH and CHEESE QUICHE. All the items here were FANTASTIC. We also ordered ESPRESSO with WATER (translated in English). What I realized about espresso in Paris is that it is less bitter and acidic compared to the-most-famous-coffeeshop (She Who Must Not Be Named). And for that reason, I would never be able to drink their espresso. I wish I had more time to return and try other selections. I would definitely RECOMMEND this café to anyone staying near.

We had just arrived in Paris and I wanted to take my 10 year old daughter on a stroll to see how the natives behave in their natural habitat. I asked a street vendor about the best bakery in the neighborhood and Voilà, we found Bechu. It's a cut above the average, for sure. We loved the macarons, chocolate tart, apple tart, a few mini-bouche de Noels, as well as the humble baguette they make. The café looked charming although we didn't eat there. The quality is top notch and the place has a happy, buzzy, bustling, glamorous atmosphere. Not a destination in and of itself but worth stopping by if you're in the neighborhood.

Their Croissant Aux Amandes was disgusting. All you could taste was liquor. Awful, awful, awful. The texture was something resembling a soggy croissant after it had started drying. There was no flakiness - just mush. The Jambon Beurre that I got was barely palatable. You could tell that the quality of the baguette was not up to par with some of the other boulangeries that we had visited. To top it off, the trays they used were not dried completely between "cleanings" (which was just a quick wipe with a wet rag), so when they were stacked, they produced a horrid moldy smell. I would avoid this place at all costs and visit the many other boulangeries with much better quality of food, service, and cleanliness. Overall: 1/5 Food: 1/5 Service: 1/5 Atmosphere: 1/5
