My satisfaction with the doctor is unquestionable. However . . . On Friday June 4 I received a call alerting me to call because the time for an upcoming appointment had to be changed. I heard the voice mail too late to cal them then and on Monday (June 7) I totally forgot to call. But I have tried calling over and over again since Tuesday (June 8) and I am just kept on hold for long periods of tie, even up to 25 minutes, with a very annoying recording reminding me how aware they are of the waiting and they are trying hard to answer my call. Well, they could have fooled me! I understand having to be on hold BRIEFLY at some time or another, but on 5 or 6 different occasions for periods of time of up to 20 and 25 minutes is totally absurd and unacceptable. I'll have no other choice but to drive to their facilities and speak to them personally. Its a 6.5 miles drive each way but that's what one has to do when customer service is lacking

Very unprofessional service, really shocking. I was scheduled for my first appointment with Dr…read more Borland. I woke up the day of the appt very sick and slept in, missing the appt. Definitely my mistake, admittedly, and I did not call ahead of time. I am not normally a person that misses doctor appointments, and I felt guilty for not rescheduling ahead of time... but again I felt so sick that I completely forgot my responsibilities that morning. So the next week, I called and apologized first thing before asking to reschedule. The person on the other end of the phone abruptly put me on hold without discernably responding to me. 5 or so minutes later someone else picked up the phone and seemed annoyed or confused. She muttered a few times as if the phone was too far from her mouth. I was having trouble understanding as she seemed as if she was talking under her breath. So i asked her, politely, if she could repeat herself because I couldn't hear what she said. Then i was put on hold again for about 7 minutes. The same person then picked up again and informed me that she has to follow the instructions on my account and she is unable to schedule my appointment. I found this a bit confusing, because she wasn't explaining why I couldn't get an appointment scheduled, just that she has instructions not to do it. Finally I asked her, "are you saying that I cannot get an appointment scheduled because I missed my last appointment?", and she replied "yes". Awestruck, I asked if she could make an exception because I really did have a bad day that day, I was very sick suddenly (all true) and it is not normal for me to just miss appointments. Silence. She said nothing. I tried one more time because I felt like there was some kind of misunderstanding or that maybe she just wanted to assess what kind of person she was dealing with or something. She again said that she had to follow the instructions in the account and could not set up an appointment for me. It was a bit surreal. I didn't know what to say for a second but settled on something like, "so you are denying me access to Dr Borland because I missed a single appointment which I have apologized for ?". "Yes." Wow. I paused, again because this conversation was so weird that I was wondering if I accidentally said something offensive or came across like a jerk. Finally I just told her (nicely) that she can expect some negative reviews on social media, to which she responded to only with "OK". I get it that some people can be difficult, adversarial or unpleasant to deal with on the phone. I am not one of those people. I've been on the other end of the phone in a service postion many times so I have too much empathy to treat people badly in these kinds of interactions. In general, I try to be kind to others whether it is walking down the street, at work, having dinner, doing anything... I am a respectful person so there is no chance that I said anything offensive to trigger this sort of response from the staff. What I received was nothing short of contempt, and upon reflection it is a good thing that I won't be visiting this office. What kind of care can you expect from a doctor whose staff has unwarranted animosity toward its patients? I also told my GP about this so that maybe he is less likely to forward his patients to this practice. I was patient and apologetic and gave the staff opportunities to help turn this conversation around, i did not make it me against them, I tried for a graceful resolution. Oh well, guees I won't be meeting Dr, Borland :).

NEW ******* Take Time to read !! Well worth your time ******…read moreWell what can I say about my experience with Dr. Biscup.... I started this journey because i was having problem with my right knee and leg on long walks. I went to two well respected neurosurgeons and had a couple of MRI's done and both said to me , your spine L5 S1 was not that bad and being 60 Years old a little its expected to have a little leak ect.. I had a couple of Epidurals which gave no relief after few day's. At that point I suffered from a Bakers cyst on my right knee. I was referred to get a consult with DR. Biscup I set up an appointment for a small fee of $500. My wife and I went down to Poinciana way in Palm Beach as we entered we were blown away by his office that would rival any high end home his staff was incredible. We explained to Dr. Biscup about my leg pain and about my bakers cyst as we entered his hi tech office with a large screen tv and different models of the spine. He didn't waste any time on uploading my scans and zeroed in on my L5 S1 and said very convincingly said heres your problem. Unlike the two Neurosurgeons he was adamant that that was my problem . He will gladly tell you most of his patients are playing golf ect. within a couple of weeks. He wanted to do another Epidural to the tune of $2500 and once again I had relief for a few days. He expressed that i definitely needed this surgery. So with his Million dollar office and all his fancy documents on the wall we decided to schedule.. I talked to his staff to proceed. The cost of the procedure was $25,000 and I asked about insurance. Since he is concierge Dr. it was told that I had to pay up front . His Staff was so nice and Cynthia is one of the nicest people that I have met . She told me most people that have insurance are normally reimbursed sometimes up to 60% of the cost.. With the pain I would have paid double so I would have relief, I have extremely good insurance and denied it all. Total out of pocket was close to $30,000. Long story short, NOT only did I have absolutely no relief but the added bonus of a lower back ache still a year later which I never had before. I went back a few times and expressed my concerned his solution was to visit one of his colleagues in NYC , Naturally flights hotels and who knows how much more money. After this ordeal I went to a couple of orthopedic doctors and told my story , When I told them about my bakers cyst they were FLOORED that not a $50 xray was not done... BINGO they looked at all my MRI scans and said it was not your back you have bone on bone on my knee. I told the Dr. i was going away for a trip and suggested giving me a shot in my knee. Well let me tell you I have never had this type of relief and walked 15,000 steps a day on my trip. The hippocratic oath for DR.s is do no harm, well a simple xray and the fact I had knee pain and a bakers cyst would have given he story. I wrote and called Dr. Biscup to talk about the findings with no response. Finally I got him on the phone and all I heard was back peddling after $30,000 in bills my whole ordeal was not necessary and now I have on going BACK pain.. His response was I have to go, I have NO MORE TIME TO TALK and hung up. Please do your research and do not let his flamboyant office and his slick communication fool you.. Thank You DR. Biscup for my new on going pain in my back !
