The cashier said something about the system "not registering yet" but that doesn't make sense, because the transaction showed up in the app immediately. It also showed multiple transactions from March 2025 in a city I didn't visit that year, so I know with absolute certainty I didn't make these purchases. I wouldn't trust this thing with my credit card. Back to the coffee. They have now changed the promotion so that you have to spend an additional $3.49 on other items to get the 99-cent coffee price. I signed up for a specific offer that they didn't honor, only for them to make the deal worse. Looks like I won't be going back to Cumbies for a while.

I also used the dirty restroom, Cumberland Farms isn't known for their clean restrooms so I wasn't surprised when I walked in. However, the water was set at a nice warm temperature; perfect for hand washing. There was also plenty of hand soap that left a nice scent on my hands. Conveniently they also offer two hand drying options. The first being an air dryer and the second paper towels made from recycled paper. I chose to dry my hands with the paper towels. Additionally the bathrooms do not have doors so I didn't have to touch a dirty door handle while exiting.

You can't really complain. The biggest plus for all Cumbys is SmartPay. Gas $.10 off/gallon with the app/card that connects to your bank account. Honestly have saved over $50 so far (granted there's also one very close to home too so that helps). Inexpensive and decent coffee, SmartPay and snacks. All good in my book.

The gas station/convenience store itself is clean and well stocked. There's a Dunkin Donuts so we get breakfast. Cindy swears that the donuts are better here than in Virginia. I wouldn't know because I don't eat donuts. Cindy says its cheaper too. The Waffle Sausage Egg is better than McDonald's in terms of the thicker sausage patty and egg product. But I find that the Waffles to be soggy like an Eggo. There's no contrast. If possible, you should go to Bliss Brothers Dairy. She's an absolute godsend and it's always appreciated. Sometimes I go earlier, like tonight (7/23 at 11) and get told they don't have any hot food options whatsoever and they won't make anything. I don't know what their policy is regarding hot food times, but the point is the consistency isn't there. Maybe there was a kitchen issue (again I don't like to assume but it wasn't communicated). It's hit or miss, and I noticed lately with the night shift it's more strike out than hits.

The price once the pump was initiated was another 10 cents more expensive than the giant road sign showed. And this is AFTER adding the 10 cents for a credit card vs. cash. Total screw job. Now the gas is 40 cents more per gallon than a place one mile away ... and ... The price is misrepresented from the road sign.
