I don't know why anyone wouldn't love EWC. I'm warmly welcomed upon checking in and when I leave…read moreafter my service- the front will let me know how many wax sessions I have left. THIS DOES NOT MEAN I EVER FEEL PRESSURED TO BUY MORE SESSIONS. I appreciate being told if there are upcoming specials if I'm running low and want to take advantage of any upcoming price reductions. And this doesn't happen every visit so no one is hounding you. Miranda is hands down the best technician I've had. She's careful and careful and thorough! She makes sure I look my best before leaving. And she talks me through what I think will be painful- and it isn't because Miranda is so great. This salon is the cleanest I've seen. I was getting waxed at hair or nail salons in a back room on a folding table before finding EWC. The rooms are hygienic and CLEAN. Fresh paper on the wax bed after being wiped down, clean counters and no hair everywhere. If you are going elsewhere- you're doing it wrong. This is where you need to be going

Right off of that as soon as I walked in, there were two other people waiting, and the store was completely silent no music. Reception was probably the worst part of this experience. The girl that handled me seemed somewhat preoccupied and on the phone insisted that I arrive as soon as possible, but I waited another 20 minutes not such a big deal, but it felt really weird standing around with nowhere to sit, and pretend to shop for some of their products to pass the time. My experience was the Brazilian wax was great. My wax technician was very friendly, nice and knowledgeable. I didn't really pay much attention to it at the time, but when I arrived home, I noticed that there were a few missed spots on my inner thigh and other lady parts . Checking out I was offered to purchase a bunch of different options for wax passes for one or three of the services that I just gotten and I felt bad that the receptionist did all of the work out to offer several different kinds of payment plans declined as I always do at EWC - like most people I don't go in for a $60 wax and just casually drop 900 bucks on a year worth of waxes that's some thing that I deliberately purchase and don't need to be asked every single time I get a wax. I wasn't even annoyed and even thanked her for doing the work, but she simply shook her head and checked out. Gotta say that went right up my behind and solidified my never returning to this location and prolly EWC altogether- it was giving me Barnes & Noble vibes where if you don't purchase their unneeded membership, then guilt you into thinking they're going to get fired basically. the quality of the wax they use has kept me coming back here since prior to Covid but I just don't know if it's worth the uncomfortable decline of wax passes every single time.

The owner seems a bit controlling. I have never had a bad experience here, but it is not my first choice as a place. The parking is nice and close to the building. The location is on a main drive. The services can be a bit expensive and you are not quoted the price before, even if there was an up charge. You were not told about that up charge in the moment.

Zero star!!!!! My friend & I decided to try VIP Nails & Spa today. We usually go elsewhere but…read morethey were completely booked. We walked into an empty salon (thought it was downtime). While told to pick our nail color, the woman tried to upsell gel mani/pedis. We kindly declined and I already get gel manicures with my regular nail tech on a regular basis. While we were getting our pedicures, the woman continued to sell my friend a gel manicure. My friend, being the nicest and kindest person said yes to a REGULAR manicure; and yes, the woman was obnoxiously trying to get my friend to upgrade to a gel manicure. I really should've listened to the red flags of an empty salon and DIRTY towels for pedicures. They had nail polish stains on them but to me, that's still dirty. My friend told the woman she's had surgery on her ingrown toenails so please don't cut them. The woman continued to cut the ingrown toenails to the point where my friend had to repeatedly ask her not to and she was grimacing with pain in her voice. My guy did the same thing to one of my toenails and kept trying to clean the blood off my skin for 15 minutes as if I didn't notice but I was more concern for my friend. We got the "Deluxe Pedicure" so after the scrubbing, the woman put a HOT towel on my friend and BURNED her foot (see picture). My friend let her know the towel was too hot and that she burned her foot but the tech shushed her to be quiet because there was another customer getting a pedicure. My friend wasn't any louder than normal conversational voice but she still shushed her. My friend then got upset and said she would like to pay the bill and leave. The tech now said she didn't speak much English after trying to upsell us on gel manicures and pedicures and having conversations throughout the service. I stepped in and said exactly that. She called for her boss to come out. My friend told her boss that the tech burned her foot and clipped her ingrown nails after repeatedly asking her not to. The tech and her boss looked at my friend's feet, spoke Vietnamese and laughed. At this point I am furious that my friend is quite upset. The boss said they were laughing at something else. Yeah, okay. We pay and we walk outside to talk. I asked if they charged her for her incomplete manicure and she said yes. I went back inside and ask them to refund my friend for the incomplete manicure at the very least because it was such an awful experience. The boss lady didn't want to. I did the run down of all that went wrong and she still didn't want to. So I told her that we are nurses and salons aren't certified to cut ingrown nails and if they're certified to show me the proof. She ended up refunding the manicure after that. I'm of Southeast Asian descent and they asked what my ethnicity was (at all Asian run salons I go to) because they want to know if I understand what they're saying in their native tongue. As a trilingual person, I find this extremely rude. Most cases you're saying inappropriate things when you switch to a language the person doesn't understand. I asked if they were Vietnamese because I knew they were and their faces dropped. I don't care who you are. You don't speak about hurting someone during a pedicure in your language and laugh. It gives negative vibes, period. There's no excuse for that. I would give them ZERO stars. I do NOT recommend this place for any service. This was our first time there and definitely our last time. Please take your business elsewhere!!!!

But, don't make me lie to you - that's exactly what I am. My first massage experience ended so horrifically I've been very hesitant to try a second time. However, as I'm preparing to run my first half marathon this weekend, and my legs have been feeling a bit sore, I decided it might do me some good to try again. After a little research, I found Therapeutic Solutions in Windsor. They had an informative website, fairly decent prices, and they scheduled me the same day I called. All good things. I arrived, filled out the pre-requisite paperwork, then met my masseuse David - from the start he was incredibly professional. Asking relevant questions about my health history and experience with massage to-date. I was able to explain to him my preferences and he confirmed exactly what I was looking for before he got started. He then checked in with me a few times throughout the session to ensure I wasn't feeling any pain, and that I was comfortable. The hour proved extremely relaxing and I left pleasantly loose and more importantly, pain free. My faith in massage has been restored!

I asked for the 30 minute Swedish massage, and they were able to fit me into the schedule the same day. When I first arrived, my first impressions were that the space was on the small side, but it was cozy nonetheless and very clean. I ended up getting massaged by Jaqcueline, the owner. She was super nice, and I left feeling like a million bucks. She managed to do a little of everything (my face, neck, arms, shoulders, and back) in such a small period of time. I definitely felt like I got my money's worth. I thought the pricing was very reasonable. I would definitely return!
